Podcast app on my iMac iTunes message

I'm trying to update the app on my iMac iTunes Podcast. Get this error: Podcasts is available on iOS. Can anyone help?

There is something wrong with iTunes right now. This message makes no sense as Podcasts can only be updated through an update of iOS.

If you do not see a similar message appears in iTunes on your iOS device, ignore him.

  • ITunes does not sync Apple podcast app with my Nano

iTunes does not synchronize my Apple podcast app, with my ipod nanos podcasts.

The result is that if I'm half listening to a podcast on my ipod nano, and then use the usb cable for syncing with itunes, then connect my iphone 5 via the usb cable and synchronize with itunes podcast Apple app reflects not the amendment, despite the fact that initially the app podcast Apple pulled all the podcasts to itunes.

That is to say itunes is not cross sync from my ipod nano at Apple podcast app.

    That's what itunes is done.

Simple synchronization works very well and if I was not an iphone owner then everything would be as expected it is say podcasts of nano sync properly, or what if all I had was the application of podcast Apple iphone would be nice synchronize. But sometimes I want to listen to on my Nano, and sometimes on my phone and continue on from where I left on my Nano, I thought that was the point of the Apple ecosystem?

Use iTunes Feedback or Apple Bug Reporter to report the problem and make the Apple to know how you want it to work as before.

  • Is it possible to load podcasts (using podcasts app) on the iPhone without the need to have these load on iTunes on Mac at the same time?

I agree, download and listen to podcasts on my iPhone (6 s 9.3.4).) When I sync with my Mac (2008 Macbook OS Lion) it also syncs podcasts (obviously) but it takes too much space on my Mac, and I never listen to the podcasts on the Mac. When I uncheck the sync option of podcasts in iTunes (12.2.2.25), he said that it will remove all the podcasts on the iPhone too, that I don't want. Is it possible to download podcasts over the phone without also their sync iTunes as well?

    Thank you

The Podcast app works using the connection of the iPhone and can sync no read using iCloud. Can simply browse podcasts and download them directly from the phone.

  • Podcast app is not updating from iTunes

Podcast app is not updating from iTunes

Saying "Podcast is available on IOS - only to get Podcasts search app store for your IOS device.

I use 3 (new ipad, IOS 9.3.2) iPad and iTunes for windows 12.4.1.6

How to solve it? Thank you

Ignore the update, Podcasts is built into iOS 9, you can't update built-in apps on your iPad (except through iOS updates). (It's show due to: remove the built-in apps from the home screen on your device iOS with iOS beta 10 - Apple Support)

If you have not all devices running older versions of iOS (or if you do, if you do not use Podcasts on them), you could remove the application from the My Apps from your iTunes library section so that the "update" to disappear.

  • Episode is online in Podcast App but not ranked in iTunes

Hello everyone and thank you for reading this.

I saw him quite often memory problems and eposides people not apprearing. everything for a reason of course.

My Podcast is online, episodes enter iTunes quickly and are listed in the application of podcast as well. BUT for now, there is AN episode that does not appear in iTunes. However, it is available in the Podcast app like 10 min after it went live, but is still missing a few days in iTunes.

I doubt it's just a matter of time it will appear, why should he take a week? There must be a reason for that.

    Here's the Web site workflow

Here's the iTunes link. It's the episode HEAR 02

I thank you for your help, how can I fix.

    Have a nice day

That sort of thing happens from time to time - it seems to be a bug in the store. Go to the Podcasts Connect, log in, choose your podcast and click 'Refresh Feed'. Give it time - the store can take a day or two to update. If that does not work, contact support and ask for a re-indexing: who can solve it. Go to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and click on the link "Contact us" at the bottom of the page.

  • Podcasts App suddenly stops playing

Since the last major release of Podcsasts I was struggeling with her. Fortunetely some of its bugs have been fixed. Unfortunately for the most annoying bugs have not. Maybe I'm wrong with my opinion, but I really think that the main purpose of the application of Podcasts is to read podcasts, right? So why does he completely suddenly stop playing podcasts? the only thing that can be done is then open the app manually and click the comparable play hidden button and continue playing. The whole OS would not react on something else if you do not do this. It makes no sense to me and as I got this question all the time. My 4S on children 5 years to my at the 6ers, I'm not very confident to get afix it all soon.

Another thing that probably his thad SDO is the sort that just make no sense for me. Most of the podacsts I listen to are programs that don't have not not be relistened to. I don't listen to anyone that I have when I have the time. However, the sort makes me always listen first to the most recent and not to the groin. I could easily live with this design error that I'm the only one in the world who uses Podcasts in this way (but I doubt at the same time). What makes me mad at her, is that playing the last podcast of this list, which is from my point of view on the other I need to listen to, will not jump to the next podcast when that is finished but just stops playing the list as if there where no more podcasts. But it is a. lot.

Especially the two named bugs make a pain using podcasts. To be honest, it feels like not on the app developers use the application for more than to play half of the first test podcast they use. In addition, this behavior was intrduced with the new Podcasts app. The old version which has been replaced by a new version of IOS have the means to play the oldest to newest. and he was reliable playing. Compered to the old, the new version will be as of the first prototypes. It would have been okay, if the application would have improved over time. Maybe he has. I can only see it. I consider bugs because these great so they need to be fixed first to improve acceptance and satisfaction.

Are there plans to fix these bugs or any tips that would help me to bypass?

@mgollmick, I have no solutions to your questions but I wanted to add on your frustration about the application of Podcasts.  I started regularly using the Podcast app 6 months ago, and it has always been glitch in a multitude of ways:

    1. when I select a podcast, it won't often begin play immediately, regardless of whether I'm listening to a podcast already downloaded or via wifi.  Sometimes it will take 30 seconds to 1 minute before the podcast begins to play.  At other times, he won't play at all, and I have to close the app and re - manually open it (sometimes several times) until I can play a podcast.  I noticed that I do not suffer the same problem during access to downloaded podcasts offline (for example, during a hike).  This leads to believe that it is a problem of wifi, but I never experience lag issues when you access a music video Youtube or iCloud on my iPhone.

    2. when the list of "Unplayed Épisodes", I'm often impossible to remove (or there is a significant shift to delete) of podcast episodes in which I'm not interested.  I drag an individual podcast episode or click the 'Edit' button to remove podcast episodes, but more often that otherwise, I am unable to do.  Once again, I have to close the application and reopen it manually a couple of times before that I can delete episodes.

    3. the application of Podcast will often suddenly crash within 30 seconds of play an episode.   Sometimes it will crash after playing for an hour, even if I do not have set the sleep timer.   I have to open the app manually and click the 'Play '.

    4. There is often a long latency when trying manually updated list of "Unplayed Episodes.  Why I immediately see new videos for subscribed Youtube channels so I manually update the Youtube app, but it takes a minute or more to see a current list of new episodes of the podcast through Apple app?

    5. the iOS app also does not sync with iTunes on my Macbook or iMac:

    (a) iTunes does not reflect my order of podcasts that appear in "My Podcasts" on iOS.  I have manually re-ordered podcasts on iOS so that I can quickly access my favorite podcasts, but this reorganization does not appear in iTunes even after that I have to sync my phone with my iMac.  In addition, the left column of iTunes (with photos of each subscribed podcast nail) does not list podcast subscriptions in order alphabetical or any other rational means of organization.  It takes time to find a specific podcast under "My Podcasts) to access the episodes.  Why no iCloud synchronize?

    (b) "Unplayed Épisodes" iTunes version does not reflect the most recent episodes that appear on the Podcast app on my phone.   iTunes is about 24 hours of delay in the updates, and when I try to update iTunes manually, it does not work.  Also, I get a message that iTunes stopped updating a podcast special because I have not listened episodes recently.  Why iTunes does not recognize that I regularly listen to this podcast especially through the iOS app? Why this information is not automatically synchronize iTunes via iCloud?

I've always been a fan of Apple products, and I understand when there are software problems from time to time, but to have so many important issues that impact, use of an application is beyond frustrating.   I understand now better Walt Mossberg recent Re / Code article criticizing Apple for not fixing not important issues with their own applications.  Although his article does not mention issues with Podcasts app, its purpose is also applicable.

    A very frustrated iPhone user.

  • Podcasts app not updated

Podcasts app appears in my updates on hold, but it will not be updated. The message I get is "Podcasts is available on iOS. However, in my iPhone and iPad, there is no update needed. The application does not appear as an update waiting.

    What can I do?

Ignore it, the update does not apply to iOS devices 9 (on iOS 9 is an integrated application, it cannot be updated except by updating the iOS version).   (It's show due to: remove the built-in apps from the home screen on your device with 10 beta - Apple Support iOS iOS.)

If you have not all iOS devices 8 or below you could remove the application from the section of my Apps of your Mac iTunes library, so that it is no longer present in the tab updated

  • I can't download the podcast app on my iphone

When I go to the app store to download the podcast on my iPhone apple app it says I already downloaded it, but when I press open it wont let me open it. How can I get this app on my phone?

Podcasts app is installed as part of the iOS. It cannot be downloaded separately in iOS 9.

If you do not see on your screens home or inside files, check the settings > general > restrictions.

If you try to update based on a command prompt in iTunes, it is a mistake. Ignore the message or delete Podcasts to iTunes app to stop messages.

  • Podcasts is available on iOS - error message?

Every time I make a synchronization of the iPhone or iPad, this message appears. Podcasts app will appear in the list of applications to update

Of course there is no way to download Podcasts on the apple store, as it is a pre-installed app.

What can I do to fix this?

    Thank you

Podcasts and find my friends were stand alone apps at the same time. They are now embedded in iOS. Remove applications from the iTunes library on your computer.

  • How can I update Podcasts app for iOS?

Hello. I own an iPhone 5 9.3.2 running IOS.

I also have a Mini Mac running 10.11.5

iTunes on my Mac shows that the application of Podcasts iOS has a new version. However, I'm unable to update the application on my Mac, which is what I usually do when the update iOS apps. Instead, I see a message saying that I need to update on my iPhone via the App Store.

So I ran the App Store app on my iPhone and tried to Podcasts app. However there is no button to update the Podcasts app. On the results screen on the app from the App Store, I see the Podcasts icon and when I click it, it opens the app. But I don't see a way to upgrade the application.

So I was wondering if anyone can give me more detailed instructions on how to update the Podcasts app. I use the Podcasts app a lot, so I definitely want to update it. I don't know why Apple made so complicated update.

    Thank you.

This message is an error. You should not be seen. Apple blew it.

    Just ignore it.

  • can't update Podcasts or find friends in iTunes sync

A synchronization tonight there were six applications update in iTunes. Two applications (find My Friends and Podcasts) would update not give the message "(uniquement disponible sur iOS-faire une recherche sur appareil iOS). box"

No app showed up to date on the iPhone since the end of May. A search on the iPhone displays Podcasts. If I click on the app in the app store it will open Podcasts without updating. The search to find my friends brings to the top of any Apple application in the store.

    He just showed tonight.

I got it exactly the same problem until I tried the solution discussed here:

  • the apple podcast app keeps a story?

I use the app to apple podcast and listen to several types of podcasts.  I'll put up a podcast before going to bed and put my iPhone stop in half an hour, before his term.  In the morning, I'll listen to a different podcast on my way to work.  Tonight I might want to finish listening to one of the previous night.  But if I have listed several different on a long drive during the day, I don't always know that I listened to the day before.  I hope that there is some history listen in the podcast app that I'm missing.  Can someone help me?

If this isn't an option for the apple podcast, are there any recommendations podcast reader applications for iphones/iPads that have a history of listening?

    Thank you

    Michelle

Select the option "Unplayed" in the background toolbar in Podcasts about episodes that have not at all been played are indicated by an icon of point blue (circle). The ones you started listening to, but has not finished playing, are marked with a blue dot half full. Which makes them very easy to spot.

Otherwise, if you synchronize your podcasts with iTunes on your computer, select the last column has played. You will see the dates, the episodes were played on it and can sort before that date.
