Print batch output file location

Hi all

We have a current implementation of Oracle Documaker for our BUSINESS. What we do is run a. BAT file that runs the brothers GEN * (gentnw32, gendaw32 and genptw32). Then, this example uses the XML defined in the DATA of the INI fsisys file segment. This displays on several PDF documents for us according to the content of the XML file.

This workspace is a hand and works as is, but with new requirements I need direct PDF files in a specific directory. Currently, he places them in the folder root/PRINT. This configuration is not on any line in the files fsisys or fsiuser. Is there a configuration I can do for Documaker placed somewhere else? Thank you!

We use Documaker Studio Version 12.2.0.21451 Build 8 August 2013. The workspace, however, was created with an earlier version (use a file instead of an ODBC connection MRL)

Your question about scripts was the following:

Can someone give me a brief explanation of what the lines: 'SetGVM ("PrtName001", file_name, "C", 254)', "HaveGVM ("PRTName001")" and 'GVM ("PRTName001")' make? I am confused since a DAL script named PDF_NAME is executed when I run GenData, but it is not called in any line in the INI file (where it is called). It defines the GVM seen above, but it does not immediately when the script GV1 GV2 script are called in GenPrint. However, they are reflected in operating GV1 after POSTTRANSDAL for Batch1. Sorry for what is confusing. These three lines are found in the separate DAL scripts.

First of all, when you want a basic explanation for most of the DAL functions, I would like to help. If the script is opened in Script/triggers Manager in DMStudio and click on the name of the function, you should see the help Panel reflect the function that you click. You can also simply press F1 and find all the DAL help and go through it at your leisure.

GVM means Member Global Variable (or something like that). Here are the variables created and used during the process of server - GenTrn, GenData and GenPrint. Each program is responsible for creating the GVMs it will be used and only live in this program. The only way for GVMs get "passed" to the next program is if these were written in a file that is loaded later by the next programme. For example, Gendata stage creates the files Batch (BCH), mentioned in the other post. The content written to each recipient record to the BCH file (in general) comes GVMs. Then when GenPrint loads a particular batch folder, these column values are again transformed into GVMs. You may not have needed this lesson, but I thought it might be useful to explain the rules of the DAL that you responded.

HAVEGVM() is used to query if there really is a GVM. If it does not exist, then there is certainly no way you can get value from it.

( SETGVM() is used for 1) assign a value to an existing GVM. and (2) possibly create a new PTC if it does not already exist. In your case, the les parametres parameters of the SetGVM seems to be allowing the creation of variable identifier that it held character content ('C') with a maximum length of 254 bytes.

GVM() is a function that returns the value currently assigned to the named GVM.

So you see that your DAL script is able to create a GVM, if it does not already exist. What information you have, I don't know whether that is necessary. It really depends on your implementation.

Your PORT = define instructions to run an associated script and that eventually must return the starting real name to use for this output. Assuming it is a part of the GVM values, it is not enough information here to say they came. These could be taken into a column defined in your BCH files; or can be determined by a hidden field value (or otherwise contained) in your transaction data; or may be questioned or created by another method of script.

Three things are bad on c:/Users/username/documents / /.

    1. these slashes must be the backslashes (change the / to------).

    2. replace the double backslash reverse after the c: with a single slash.

    3. you are him giving a folder name, not a file name. You need
    something like c:\users\myname\documents\myfile.prn give some
the name of file you want.

You can name what you want and place it where you want. There

And let me ask you why want to do this. If you want to take this to

  • Just a simple print request gives me the impression of file and application name of output file.

I am trying to set up a wireless printer samsung on a Linksys router for a Dell with Vista laptop.  When I send a test page it will go not to the printer... He's trying to "print to a file" asking and "Output File Name".  Why?

    Nelia,

You may find that when you set up the printer first place it has been accidentally manually installed as a "print to file" rather than a printer real itself.

My suggestion would be to uninstall all samsung software, remove the printer (start, devices and printers, right click on the printer-> remove) and then start again from scratch. Let us know how you go!

  • The batch of files in a folder?

Can I set up a folder all the output files to?

I don't want to not use spyware files, just to power a bunch of files in a batch record, currently I have to configure separately each output path.

    No option for this?

In this case, you can simply select all jobs in the queue you want to encode in the same location.  Click on one of the paths to the destination selected in the "Output files" column  Then select a destination path.  This should change the paths of all selected jobs.  It should work with the CC of SOUL to SOUL CC 2014.  CS6 SOUL does not support this, unfortunately.

  • "Extraction failure: cannot open output file" error message when installing new drivers

Hello, I am trying to install new drivers for my HP Photosmart C4385 printer.  I downloaded the complete drivers of features for Windows XP 32-bit, and when I start to install (extract), I get the error message:

    Extraction failed

    Cannot open output file

And the process ends.  He arrived at about 85% extraction every time.

No idea why?  I called HP, but no longer under warranty they wanted money, which I think as absolutely ridiculous - not even give me basic support?  Poor, poor customer service.

    Hi GIJeff12,

    Temporarily disable any AntiVirus/Antispyware software.

Cut the installer on your desktop then click on the Start Menu, click computer, double-click on the C: drive and paste the installler here.  Now try a right click on the installer for your printer, choose 7-Zip and choose Extract the files, and then click Ok.  If the installation program extracts now correctly, follow these steps.  If it does not extract, let me know.

Disconnect your printer from the PC.  Restart your PC.

Open the newly extracted folder and double-click the setup application to start the installation (the installation application will probably have the same icon as the original installation software that you downloaded).  Connect the printer to your computer when you are asked.

If it was a success, re - enable your security software.

    Best wishes

  • Cannot install some programs-can't create the output file in the AppData\Local\Temp user account

When I try to install a program (.exe) it works winzip Self-extractor, which attempts to create a file in the directory Users\ (myusername) \AppData\Local\Temp\setup.exe

I just installed windows 7 and had to happen one or two times before that, I think, but I re-uploaded the file and I tried again and it ended up working. Now when I try to install this program (Hava), he says that it is unable to create the output file.

When I try to go to this place it doesn't even have the AppData folder I have to first create this path or is it a problem with the program? Any help is appreciated. Touch Pro

Well, that's possible. As WinZip SFX has a small option to overwrite without confirmation box.

You can move forward with delete the file setup.exe from the Temp folder in the sound is no longer used by any program (where its in the Temp folder)

You can also try now is, since its opening a WinZIP Self Extracting Archive, you can try manually, and manually specify where to extract the files before you click ok.

Once you do this, just run setup.exe from the specified location.

  • Cannot open output file

Sorry, I continue to post, but I tried to compile a large enough project for the playbook. There is only one problem left, and it doesn't make much sense.

When compiling, I get this error: C:\bbndk-1.0\host\win32\x86\usr\bin\ntoarm-ld: could not open the output file [ProjectName]: Permission denied

It is just a normal file. No extension. The thing is that I tried to restart my computer, I tried to locate the file (I guess that's the construction state file since it is the only one like that without extension) and delete, but it does not work. There is nothing with the project, so I don't see why it's happening.

Any ideas? Thanks and sorry again.

Well I got it working. I just changed the name to build artifact generation slot C / C++-> settings-> artifact to build.
