• Weird symbols in my tabs?

  The problem: it has weird symbols in my tabs I don't know how to get rid of. They are highlighted in pink, that tells me they are a font not recognized or a symbol. I can't figure how to get rid of them and return my tabs in normal view.

  It is not a 'symbol' in itself, but rather a Unicode character text marker direction - that actually * should * be invisible. Maybe insert into the field on the tab Leader was a rather unexpected action for InDesign to make it show.

  As you insert this character somehow in the field of driving, wouldn't make more sense to call your game again tab and delete the same?

  The publication does not mean that you'll end up with one package. But if you download everything in an LMS or a Web server, CP can detect the device that is used when access to the course and will show the appropriate version (SWF or HTML5).

• Cannot convert flv to mp4 when I publish on html5

  I have a project as incorpporates FLV files which where successfully imported.  When I publish on HTML5, flv files do not convert to Mp4.  Ironically, if I publish the entire project in mp4 it works?

  Solved

  I have been using a third-party program to generate FLV files.  Although captivate 7 accept these files & publishes these files in certain formats (mp4), Adobe media encoder fails to convert these files into mp4 format, if you want to publish as html5.  To resolve this problem, I had to put the files in captivate as AVI or MP4 files. Adobe media encoder and then converts it to an acceptable FLV for captivate.  If I can post on HTML 5, the media encoder converts successfully.

  A quick test, I tried to convert the third generated FLV files directly using the adobe F4v files Media Converter and then import them into captivate, however Adobe media encoder does not recognize flv format.

  Therefore, if you come with a similar problem, I highly recommend that you bring in your video files in avi or mp4 and let Adobe media encoder to do its job.

• Can I add GIFs animated to my project and publish as HTML5?

  I have created several projects with Adobe Captivate 7 and added GIFs animated in my project. When I publish, GIF animations are animated only when changing SWF. When I play the HTML5 the GIF version only shows the first image.

  Is it possible for me to publish my Adobe Captivate project for GIFs animated when viewing the output of the HTML5?

  I think I found the solution and want to update in case someone else runs into this.

  I have posted successfully to HTML5 until I DELETED all the GIFs that were currently in my library and then reinserted them. Once I deleted the GIFs from my Captivate library and then reinserted by clicking the Insert-> Animation menu option, I published that HTML5 and my GIFs were intact.

  Please note that I had completely replaced all my GIFs with the Insert-> menu option before Animation (instead of drag / drop) and this has not fixed the problem. It worked only once I deleted all the GIFs first.

• I want to add tab stops to the cross-reference format to make my OCD, a solution of a single click, but the format never comes out right and using the tab key in the window of the dialog box to move the cursor to the next window.

  When you try to format my references I would add tab stops so that the format for the TOC works with the cross reference.  For example my format on the pages of reference is

  < $chapnum > - < $paranumonly > < $paratext > < $chapnum > - < $pagenum >

  With tab stops before the chapnum, between paranumonly and paratext and the next chapnum.  If the final result should look like

  4-16 speed vertical digital - primary Mode... 4-28

  Help?

  In the reference page, add a \t where you want a tab to be, i.e. \t<$chapnum>-<$paranumonly><$paratext>\t \t<$chapnum>-<$pagenum>

  Then, make sure that the format of paratag has the tabs tab placed at the correct locations.

  When you re - generate the table of contents, you should get the desired effect.

  Hi there, click paragraph, and then you will see the tabs button to set tab stops (for that paragraph, or for all of them, according to what has been highlighted / selected before you clicked on it).

  I tried to check the details about the alignment of the content that you have placed in accordion, best suggestion is already mentioned in the forum topic that you set with the message that in this way, you can set the alignment of the placement of the content.

  In case you don't want to go with this option, there are a few ideas I can think as divided into categories and then use composition and then place to accordion inside the composition for details.

  Another way may be to use blocks of text with rectangle and all group, but this would make the page length long.

  I tried to change the tab stop on a 0.5 "W, went into the designer of paragraph, under the direction of tab stops, changed the value, you click on continue.

  I had almost the same problem (also FM 13.03.495) a few weeks ago. I tried to change a tab stop from left to right, aligned. If I remember correctly, I clicked on apply in the paragraph Designer, and then the tab stop setting is returned to its original state.

  I have not noticed that in a single file. Since I couldn't reproduce this with other files, I ignored this problem. I think I've changed this tab stop in another file and copy the paragraph format in the problematic file.
