Hello, I'm quite new to hearing (CC2014), and in my efforts to understand the system of management of the program, I met several puzzles. (I think understand managing files in audio and video programs is crucial, and I'm already off a not-so-good start). I hope someone out there has the patience to give a hand.

1. for experimentation, I created a .wav file, called "Terra Firma" and put it in a folder on the desktop called "project of hearing". I opened the waveform, and then just closed hearing without doing anything else. Now, in my project folder of the hearing, there is another file named Terra Firma, but with the icon of the Green/Black. When I double click the icon of the black green, hearing opens, but does not display the file of Terra Firma. In the hearing Media Explorer, the original .wav file appears. So, what's the purpose of the other file with the same name? Is it important

The second file is called a file 'peak '. It is a record of the hearing, where the symbol and its extension is .pkf. Its purpose is to allow you to open the file you saved more quickly. It contains the Visual data hearing would otherwise have to regenerate when you reopen the file. This is only really useful to save these if you use larger files; short will be open relatively quickly without them. There is an option to activate files peak on and apart from edit > Preferences > media & Disk Cache. Yes, waveform editing is destructive, so you should save the original and work on copies if that's how you are editing. However, it is not the only option; If you do your editing in the multitrack mode, then nothing on your file gets changed at all, like multitrack is nondestructive. Basically, it's a reader of giant file, with many benefits. You can use the same bits over once, add different effects to different parts of it, automate changes of level, change your mind about what you did and do it again without losing anything, etc.. When you are finally done with your editing, then mix you it down and record it as the final version. And if you want to go back and have another go, then as long as you have saved the session file, you can. So, you can save multiple versions if you want.

What file system really wants do you is keep all of your session (aka 'active') into a single place - indeed, you will be encouraged to do so when you save a session file. You can record things where you, - there is no particular restriction, you can do what you want. If you move the files used during a session after you have recorded the session, then they will be marked as 'offline '. If you like in the session, it's easy to recreate a link to files - there is an option to right click to do this.

The file system is not 'bad' as such - well, it is not perfect, but it is not that hard to get your head around once you understand the basics of what it seeks to achieve.

iCloud backups / file management / free space

I have trouble managing the use of space in my icloud account.

I find it very intuitive and difficult to understand exactly what I am to be invited to do everything by managing the settings.

In other words, I find some options very unclear.

As a note on the side of criticism; I really find the iOS any system file management, with its 'fun icon' interface approach, but almost zero - control and utility in terms of management of files, to be very tedious / frustrating / tedious.

Why not give me a "finder" style access to file systems; so I can see clearly what is in place, I can remove, etc.

iCloud.com is not designed to handle files, only the content.

From your iPad itself, go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > iCloud > Storage manage and look in the section of backups . You should see backups that you created and its size, on iCloud for your iPad. Tap on your iPad and there is an option to delete the backup here.

Your applications are not in your backup. They are stored on the App store, where they can be downloaded again if necessary. Toggling off the coast of the backup of the data of the App has questionable value because it is only of data an application creates, not the application itself. If you share an Apple ID with anyone or any other device, their content goes to iCloud as well. 5GB allowance is per Apple ID, not per device.

Sony NW - E507 MP3 File Manager and Windows 7 problem

Until very recently, I was using a custom PC with Windows XP Pro installed to transfer my music on the MP3 player using the "MP3 File Manager" software that connected the MP3 itself.

Now, both my PC under Windows 7 64 bit and I found that I can't transfer music to the player more.

Is there an alternative piece Manager style of files of the software available that will allow me to transfer files to my player?

The player is in perfect condition and I'm reluctant to buy a newer model that my drive works fine except for not be able to transfer music to it. If there is no solution then I guess I might have to invest in a new Sony's MP3 player that has a software that is compatible with Windows 7 64 bit and later.

The Walkman player is not compatible with windows 7 OS. You use Windows Vista, XP, 2000, 98 OS to transfer music to portable player.

Lets say your file called called aaa.as. Create a Flex project in Flash Builder. On the last page of the wizard, replace the record suggested as "test.mxml" with the text "aaa.as". Click Finish.

When the project opens the sheet and drop your real aaa.as in the place of one in the Project Explorer (or whatever the file manager on your platform).

FB should automatically compile and produce an aaa.swf in the bin-debug folder. You will also need to modify the aaa - app.xml and create an icon for the appropriate application. After that, follow the instructions to get started on creating the debug launch for this project configuration.

Lots of advice... start here...

There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

Memory card SD/Media - is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:

Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. Rather, to close an application, press the BBKey and select 'Farm' or 'Quit'... that forces the application to be closed, freeing for your new use the resources it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

Now, to your question about memory management and a reboot Batt-Pull simulated... There is indeed an application for the part... of the latter it is called QuickPull and it is available via AppWorld or directly from Steelhorn. I have the pro version and it works fine - except that he can't perform the reset if the device is locked with a password. But I can work around that. I restart my storm every night and allows me to stay in good shape... full batt-tire is a rare thing now (zero not... just rare).

Recycle and broken Windows Win7HP bin file manager

I broke my Win7HP yesterday...

The Recycle Bin icon is missing. If I open the file manager, I get the indirect approach of the magnifying glass and no results file!

I'm not exactly sure how, but I think that it is removing a file that is uploaded to skydrive. Nevertheless, the net effect on my system is a disaster.

Hidden folder/file settings was the first place, I checked and kept checking each new reboot.

I have copied below my temporary solution I posted in another forum thread.

See point 7. I found a way to make it visible again.

1. I can see all jpg files created before Win10 update AND all the jpgs created by other programs, other than Photoshops after Win 10 update.

2 Photoshop cannot see the newly created Photoshop created jpg files in the file picker at all since Upgrade to Win 10. I've never had a problem of invisibility of file before winning 10 update. My hidden files were always checked to be visible. However, Photoshop can open if listed files in a basic text file search in Windows Explorer in the path of the file "recently used".

3. the files are not visible or clickable at all in Windows Explorer tree or the Photoshop file selector. They become open and visible when listed in a basic text file search in Windows Explorer in the path of the file "recently used".

4 Microsoft Office applications can't see the new Photoshop created Jpg files in file, only pre Win 10 update pickers jpg created by other applications and versions.

5. the problem occurs only with Photoshop jpg created after the Win 10 update.

6. I checked the settings "Show hidden files, folders and files of the operating system", and they remain as they were, which allows all the hidden to visible objects. I kept the visibility settings files in this way since the early 1990s.

Question about how Oracle manages the Redo logs

Assuming a configuration which consists of 2 redo log groups (groups A and B), each group of 2 disks (disks A1 and A2 for Group A) and B1 and B2 disks for Group B. Additionally, assume that each redo log file resides by itself in a disk storage device and that the device is dedicated to her. So in the situation described above, there are 4 discs, one for each redo log file, and each disc contains nothing other than a redo log file. Also, assume that the database is in ARCHIVELOG mode and the files from archive is stored on another different set of devices.

Delete a group of newspapers online redo with the SQL ALTER DATABASE statement with the DROP LOGFILE clause.

The following statement drops redo log group number 3:

ALTER DATABASE, DROP LOGFILE GROUP 3;

When a group of online redo logs is deleted from the database, and you do not use Oracle managed files, operating system files are not removed from the disk. Instead, control of the associated database files are updated to remove members of the Group of the database structure. After deleting a group of online redo logs, make sure the drop completed successfully and then use the command of operating system appropriate to delete the dropped online redo log files.

When you work with files managed by Oracle, the cleaning of operating system files is done automatically for you.
Your database will not be affected as you can work with 2 files, redo log in each group, as the minimum number of redo log in a database file is two because the process LGWR (newspaper writer) writes in the redo log in a circular way. If the process crashes because you have 2 groups only if you want to remove 1 Add a third and make that the current group and remove the one you want to be offline.

is there a good replacement for Finder? (File Manager)

This native file manager makes me crazy with his irritating display of folder trees. I look forward scroll, scroll, scroll before files without end to reach another subfolder. Is it possible to put all the files at the TOP?

Or better yet, it can be replaced by a 3 rd-party file manager good? Advice would be much appreciated!

Apple has blocked 'file manager apps' access directly at the beginning of iOS with iOS 8.3 file system.
