Rectangles, replacing text in PDF files

Recently, I started having a problem with vertical rectangles replace text in my PDF files.  I always see when I try to combine PDF files.  The files seem to be fine, but after I complete the merge, the pages now have vertical rectangles.  The problem was reported a couple of weeks, when my users have reported what seemed like PDFs "corrupt".  I have now discovered thaqt the problem is much more common that I suspected.  I thought I could just replace the corrupted pages, but when I replace the corrupted pages (or remove and then insert), new pages will be rectangles.

I tried several versions of Adobe Reader and on a variety of devices.

PDF sample.jpgAny help would be greatly appreciated.

Example above.

This happens sometimes when you don't have the original embedded fonts. In the file that shows rectangles, is there a list of fonts under file > properties > tab fonts that are not embedded?

(I hate these books in this way, I also prefer to work with a PDF file. Some people really feel it's better for their users, but I think it's people who don't actually use books).

  • Help me! All my text in PDF files are Magenta and it drives me crazy!

    My printer ran out of black ink, so I somehow a way to change the black to 100% magenta text in order to print. Apparently, Adobe has retained this setting, and now every time I open a PDF file, all text is magenta. I do not remember for the life of me how I changed it in the first place, and I can't figure out how to restore it. I went in ' Advanced > Print Production > convert colors "and tried many combinations to try to recover it, but it did not work. I have a feeling that's not what I did in first place (also given that printing does not always work after the change), so I think I did something in all options 'View '. Someone knows how to fix this? It drives me crazy. Thank you!

  • How can I prevent text in pdf files web crash?

    When I view a doc't PDF web-based, it happens OK but then immediately crushes with the same text in a different font, which makes it almost unreadable.

    This does not happen on PDFs stored locally.

    1. Why is this happening?

    2. How should I do?

    You can view the PDF with the built-in browser (not ready for prime time hours) PDF viewer to view a PDF file on the web (not downloaded-saved-then open with Adobe Reader) while using a browser.

    Most of the default browser of today to their own built in PDF Viewer.

    Without the exact same font family on your system there is noting you can do when, in this scenario.

  • Problems with showing all text in pdf file

    Hi all
    I have this problem. When I download a pdf file on the Web site of our company as a link and then when I open the link, most of the text in the file is as symbols. The pdf file is a brochure and is exported from CorelDraw. The brochure consists of photos and text. For me, very important is to solve the problem, because most of our customers use Mozilla firefox and they must be able to see everything on the brochure.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best wishes

    Hello again, yes the development version of the pdf viewer addon is a snapshot at the beginning of what will go into future versions of firefox. so when the display problem is not obvious in the version of the pdf viewer dev, this means that no bug must be filed and the solution is already underway to enter in the next update of firefox.

    I can't give you an exact date on what will be your problem in firefox, because without a real pdf taste it is not possible to know what bug caused the problem. However, according to the pdf.js developers a difficulty which is already present in the current version of the developer at least will make in firefox (scheduled for the end of April) 29.

    you could test yourself if the problem is still present in firefox (beta) 28 or 29 (aurora) firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/

  • How to reset or remove (corrupt) rendered text in PDF file?

    Running the last DC Pro Acrobat on OSX 10.11.1.

    I would like to raise the OCR from scratch.

    But refuses to Acrobat as the pages already have rendered text.

    But this text became gibberish when I added a new page to the document in the preview.

    Hi Stephen Pollak,

    If we already performed OCR on a PDF file, so it is not possible to re - run OCR on the same file. To rerun OCR, you must flatten the PDF.

  • How would I have Adobe Reader allows you to edit text in PDF files on Android phone messages, and then print on a HP PRINTER?

    New to this and need to do it right now (ASAP). How do I change text in PDFs and print them on a HP printer!

    Hi Shortperson1,

    You will not be able to make changes to the PDF using Reader App., you will need Acrobat application installed on your computer to edit PDF files.

    Using Reader App you can only add comments to the PDF, not more possible editing.

    Kind regards

  • Editing text in PDF files - only the numbers lack police

    When you change the text in a PDF file (created in InDesign), I can change all text with the exception of all numbers. When I try to enter a number, I get the message "the police XXXX is not available or cannot be used in the original edition. Acrobat uses the Arial font in its place. " He then places other characters in his place - do not know what they are, but they are not numbers. Someone has an idea what is the cause?

    Sorry, I found my answer here:

    https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1582291?q=Arabic%20numbers

    Apparently, the NUMBERS HINDI under Preferences\Languages checkbox is checked default. This ridiculous default resulted in Arabic numerals when editing of the PDF in Acrobat. Editing text was fine, but every time I type a number, it would seem that the Arabic characters.

  • replace text in PDFs by sript

    Hello

    I have a lot of pdf files.

    There is a phone number that needs to be changed.

    Is it possible to do that using a script or another type of automation?

    It can probably be done in Acrobat Pro using an Action and a script, but a large number of files in Acrobat to treatment is problematic.

    You would probably need a stand-alone tool to do.

  • How to replace text in a file

    Hello world

    I have a txt file and it has some data. Specifically, I want to replace a character in the text file. Data will be like this.

    TT = 15
    S1ST = 21601
    S1EN = 50400
    S2ST = 50401
    S2EN = 72000
    S3ST = 72001
    S3EN = 21600
    GNST = 00000
    GNEN = 00000
    S1B1S = 22800
    S1B1E = 23400
    S1B2S = 28800
    S1B2E = 30600
    S1B3S = 36000
    S1B3E = 36600
    S1B4S = 45000
    S1B4E = 46800

    In the 2nd line e.g. S1ST = 21601, I want to replace 36000 instead of 21601.

    After replacing the specificity, data should replace in the file, or add the file will also be ok for me.

    Give me a suggestion. I use LV 8.2. So please post your code in ver 8.2

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Vijay

  • Link attached Image can not file in a text inside PDF file

    Hello friends, I have a problem, I played all day and couldn't solve it (can't believe that Acrobat DC can fill or fix this task).

    So my problem is: (I'll describe what I want to do).

    I created a PDF (just for testing purposes) with texts of the sample inside "Text 1, text 2, text 3"

    Then set 3 images 'Image 1, Image 2, Image 3' and a ' Test PDF Board of seizure, while page is OK, but started here my problem. "

    I couldn't make link for these attached image files (there is neither option nor choice).

    I needed to link the picture 1 of the attachment to a 'text 1', but it is impossible... (I can link the PDF from attachments without any problem)

    While playing, I found something like solution (but is not a solution), I found comments and it tool, I managed to attach an image...

    While do how can I link a picture files to a text in the PDF document (as it does with PDFs).

    Is this Bug Acrobat or just doesn't have this feature?

    Thank you in advanced!

    In fact, it can be done, but it is unnecessarily complicated. You must use a JavaScript to do it, like this:

    this.exportDataObject ({cName: "NameOfImage.jpg", nLaunch: 2});

    Simply adjust the name of the image used in your document file and it should work.

  • replacement of a PDF file

    Can anyone advise on the best way to replace a PDF that has already been packaged and added to a Distributor?

    My first thought was to simply delete the resource completely and repackage the new item, which will generate a new UUID ACS4 that I can use during the execution of the commands to create a new CMHA for the completely new element.  (NOTE: possibly related, another post about a mistake when you remove a resource here: ) http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/762836 )

    It is a reasonable approach, or is there something better that I'm missing?

    Sorry just noticed this in your XML file.

    http://ns.Adobe.com/adept" action ="replace">
        ...
    ... rest of demand...

    should be

    http://ns.Adobe.com/adept">

    replace
        ...
    ... rest of demand...

    If you add a - verbose in your command-line UploadTest, you will notice the difference in the query.

  • Acrobat SDK & Adobe Acrobat - search/highlighting of text on PDF file

    Hello

    I would like to ask how to implement text search and highlight it in a PDF using the Acrobat SDK in c# .net.

    If you have code examples, please share.

    Please also indicate the required version of Adobe acrobat / sdk that can do this.

    Another question, is - this kit SDK Acrobat works not that Adobe Acrobat is not installed on the computer?

    Thank you.

    The Acrobat SDK kit requires Acrobat on the machine in order to work.

    Is the minimum version for using c#, which supports Adobe Acrobat 8, but you should always consider working with the latest version, which is Acrobat X.

    The SDK SDK documentation should show you how to search - search for "search".
