Review the content in LMS, Captivate jumps to the last slide

I have a course with multiple files in the tree. Captivate times as its content only to fines, and it triggers the following file, after studying all the slides view (s). However, if the student wants to go back and review the documents, Captivate flash the first slide, then jump to the last slide.

I escape Version and the unchecked Session ID.

Pass/fail check

SCORM 2004 checked

Report to the LMS as a Score

Slide views only - completion 100 slide view (the number of slides or? the percentage of slides)

Level Reporting = Interatction and partitions

I also have the SendTrackingDataAtEnd value model

Is it possible to have a CP just stay on the first slide?

Thank you.

Kind regards

Kevin

Hello

Maybe turned on bookmarking and LMS works this way in this case. Check Quiz preferences, the LMS customization settings. Try to check the option "never send RESUME data" and publish again.

  • jumps to the last slide

Whenever I run my file captivate published since the html page, he created, it begins on the first slide... and jumps to the last slide in the film. I can use the table of contents to return to the first slide again... but I don't want to have to do, of course. This could be because she jumps to the last slide just as it starts?

I need to present this today... help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

Try clicking project > Table of contents, then settings... button. My guess is that you have enabled the 'Self Paced Learning' and you must delete it.

After you make this change, publish again and test.

  • a way to designate the last slide for LMS know course is over?

    Hi all

I think that someone else has asked the same question here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/432385?tstart=0 but they are not all the answers. I thought I'd try just in case where I ask something different from what the user meant.

I need to find a way to Captivate designate a slide as the end of the project/chapter for the LMS to know that the user has completed the course. In my case, it will always be the second last slide in a project wants to have that information sent to the LMS (the last slide in the chapter is really just a "thank you" slide with no apprenticeship information) I thought that maybe I can add some sort of script for the 'next' button (run Javascript), but of course I'm a complete n00b and have no idea on the scripts.

I think that the LMS KNOW that chapter is completed when the user receives the last slide, but maybe I'm expecting too much out of the LMS!

    Thoughts, suggestions, solutions?

    Thank you!

  • Audio to jump to the last slide

Using Captivate 3 (but also have the same question in 2). Imported files wav separated for each slide. Audio plays perfectly edit mode, however, once published, only the first few blades works, and then all of the following slides play audio from the last slide. I read message boards but do not see a problem like that. Even tried audio export, the removal of each slide and re-import audio to all the slides, but nothing helped. Also, how can I program slides forward only when the user clicks on?

I will address the problem of an audio file playing on the wrong slide or by repeating the same audio on a number of slides when the project is published. This happened a lot to me and the solution was:

DO NOT USE WAV FILES! The only way I got the audio working properly was to convert all my WAV files to MP3 (at a constant bit rate of 112 kps), delete all WAV files I had previously imported into my project file, and then import the MP3 versions. Who stopped the problems of audio file. If you convert the WAV files in a binary variable rate MP3 with high throughput, you run the risk of the audio being slowed down by 1/2 or more, women make expresses its male, when you publish to Flash.

I know that Captivate converts MP3 files to WAV files when they are imported, and then converts that their return to MP3 when they are published, but for some reason any using WAV files directly caused nothing but problems.

Publishing for Flash in Captivate 2 (and it seems that Captivate 3 has not improved) is so buggy that I never know what my SWF files will look and act like despite everything works well in the project file.

    Good luck!

Is there a tip action that will allow me to erase the State flag on the table of contents, when the user reaches the last slide? Customer needs "to self-paced learing." You can't erase it by Captivate or a variable, but it is possible to erase it with a Widget.

I have a widget that worked in Captivate 5 so it should work for 5.5 as well. Get in touch through my site and I'll send you the widget so you can test it.

  • stop on the last slide with active buttons

    Hello world

Am still a beginner with Captivate... Please help:

I have 4 buttons set in place on the last slide of Film1, functioning as a simple menu, sort of.

First button goes to Movie 2, second button jumps to 5 film, third button jumps to 8 film, with a last button SHOWS ALL from 2 film as well. All these movies are related to each other (ie. 3 movie begins when ends the movie 2).

How can I get the Film1 stop on the last slide, with all 4 buttons remaining active?

In my published exe, the buttons work if and only if I click on them, until the project stops.

Thank you in advance for expenses!

    Hello

Please make sure that the buttons have activated pause. (It is possible to disable)

Assuming that they have activated pause, they should pause and wait for the user to click on them before you continue. If a break has been disabled, probably made in the box Inactive playhead of the button and it no longer works.

  • Completion of the SCORM trigger on the last slide?

    captivate-settings.png

Basically, there are only 2 options of AutoComplete in Captivate (attached).

When I test it in ScormCloud with the option of radio user access the call completion is sent immediately. If there is a way to have a bit more granularity and trigger completion of SCORM manually when they reach the last slide without using one of these Captivate settings?

  • Exit possible skin & free jump to the last slide?

    Hello.

Anyone know if there is a way to maintain the ability to "Resume data" without using the skins for the navigation?

    This is the problem...

I never liked using skins in Captivate to manage navigation for a number of reasons - for the most part, I like being able to manage navigation myself, screen by screen, because I use the branching in a number of ways. (And I hate the progress bar).

So what I have always done all this time (v1 - 3) is to create my own Exit button on every page that jumps to the learner on the last page, which is of course the page blanche.2 seconds. And the project is set to "Close to the end," so at the end of this seconde.2, the lesson closes just as it should.

So, here's something frustrating...  And I can't believe that I have NEVER run into this problem before... Of course, when the project is defined in this way, and settings of 'Customization of LMS' DO NOT show never 'send resume data', the user can never run SCO a second time through a LMS System. What is happening is that, when a user clicks the exit time the first they visit the SCO, they are taken to the last page, and at the end of this page, the SCO closes as it should. However, when they try to go back in the OCS, their last known page has "" (because 'send resume data' is selected) a bookmark it so that they are passed to the end, and then the lesson closes automatically.

Anyone knows how I can (1) avoid the skin and (2) allow an output which is not access to the end?

Your guidance is appreciated, as always.

    Hello

    1. you don't need the progress bar? Here's how you can get rid of it. Go to project > Skin Editor. Under the tab "Playback control", uncheck "progress bar". If you do not need the 'playback control' itself, clear the check box 'Show playback control '.

    2. I see another way to release of the film. Using scripts. This is how you can do it.

-Open dialog box Actions of project > actions.

-Create a new action to give a name to your script. Lets call it exitProj.

-Your script will have just a single line: rdcmndExit: = 1

-Click on save, and then close

-Double click on your Exit button to open its properties.

-Choose 'Advanced Actions' for its action on success.

-Choose the script that you created that is to say exitProj.

    -Click OK.

Now, by clicking on the button must come out of your project.

Let me know if you have any questions in this regard.

  • Return to the last slide

Hi guys. My project has 2 blades help and we can navigate between them, (they are 2 and 3 of the slides). Slide 3 is accessible from any of the other blades, and from there, the user can decide what kind of assistance they need. My problem is I want the user to be able to return to the slide, where they accessed assistance. Of course, a simple button with a "return to the next slide" action is useless, as if they access the two slides help and then try to return that they are in the loop 'help '. So my question is "How do I do that?

As always, any help greatly appreciated.

  • Print the last slide (certificate) in published .exe

    Hi Captivate-guru,

I'm looking for a way to give a touch of "impression" on my last slide. This slide contains a certificate (not a widget, just a .jpg file with a textfield variable to the name of the student). The button should work in a .exe published this project. In my view, java-script just do not cut it... :(

Please tell us how to do this.

    Thank you!

Hey, everyone out there.  I know that a slide in print seems to be a huge problem for everyone. All I want to do is allow my end user print a certificate template that I imported into a powerpoint slide. I built in variables and it works very well.

The problem is easily printing without print reading or the printer icon bar or buttons... just the landscape of certificate on 8 1/2 by 11 paper.  I tried the widgets that are loaded in Adobe Captivate 4. The print.swf file shows the icons. The fact of the Printslides.swf. I was not able to find anything that do the trick.

I hope that anyone who reads this has been able to solve this problem.  Anyone know a technique that actually works in Captivate 4?

  • Accessing the last slide visited

    HI have everything,

I wonder if anyone can help.

I have a number of templates that I'm referencing throughout a project.

I wish I had a slide with a button for each model - when you click the button, it will open the file to a shared file or intranet site.

I would like to you access this slide at different times throughout the project and have a 'return' that affects (when hit) will then sail back to the previous slide, the user did (which varies).

    For example:

Slide 4, 9, 11 and 23 includes a button to navigate to the slide of models.

If a user accesses the slide of the slide template 9, then click on the back button, I would like the project to return to slide 9.

If a user accesses the master slide 23 slide, then click on the back button, I want the project to return to slide 23. etc.

Is it possible to do this?

    Thank you!

You can place a button on the slide of models and define its action on the success of go to last visited slide.

  • Captivate 4 replay output SWF will slide to the last visited

Hi, I have a Captivate 4 course published; full screen SWF, Flash 10, AS2, includes quiz questions optional not followed, unmarked, KNOCK, branch, no LMS reports, a certificate with the variable name widget. Everything works absolutely perfect when you first play the SWF file. But if read you again the SWF file, it loads the first slide, then quickly advances to the last slide visited, if it was the slide or if you leave anywhere in the middle. It occurs in all conditions: whatever the browser (IE, Firefox...), regardless of the method of opening a SWF file by restarting browser, 'open with', etc.  It's as if there is a bookmark to the flag and continue where the viewer was off.  But I can't find any setting for this?  I have published many, and this is the first time I met this. What I'm missing from the gurus? Thank you in advance for your help!

You can check the settings of the table of contents: may individual learning is turned on? Which will store a cookie on the PC and will return to the slide where the user left, kind of bookmark indeed.

  • How to get an overview of Captivate 4 to begin with the first slide to look at a second?

I created a slide show-125 in Captivate 4. Some slides are in short (1 s <) video capture, but most of them are simple slides with audio narration.

The presentation plays very well the first time that somebody is watching. Then, on the viewings, the presentation (that they are placed in the context of the html file or by opening the .swf directly) jumps to the position it was in during the previous display. Seen online, people notice a slight delay, so that it plays the first half second of the first slide, then jumps. For people who watched the video completely through, the presentation seems to spend the first half of the second ('welcome... ") to the last slide ("Thank you for watching,"etc.). This proved confusing for our customers.

Is there a way to get the presentation to forget that this timestamp and just start from the beginning each time someone opens? I looked in Edit > Preferences and the help documentation and have found no setting for it.

As stated in the FAQ, I'll try to break the presentation into three smaller, then string those together. However, I would be surprised if this has solved the problem, given that the presentation does not seem to suffer from amnesia, but rather too good a memory.

  • Why the last audio slide ppt project in Captivate 8 does not play?

I created a project using Captivate 8 import a presentation power point and then save on each slide. Everything was very except the last slide, will play the audio.

I tried to redo it and playing with several different settings. Any ideas I could try next?

Thank you BDuckWorks and Lilybiri for your answers.  I did several searches on 8 Captivate and apparently is to know that there are problems with the import of ppt

The solution, with that I went had to copy my content from my ppt to the content of the Captivate theme Builder, and then I had to put my audio from my first project that had the TPP t worked.

I don't be imported from ppt Captivate more.
