Saving objects (tables, views, etc.) db

Hello
After connecting with a liability of the developer, I see a submenu of "Database", containing the menu entries "Tables", "Views", "Sequences"...
When these functions are used...? To set/register custom tables, views, sequences with the libraries of Application objects...?
If so, it takes to... in what circumstances... .and?
Someone developed some modules/reports to custom form using the custom db objects that were not saved...!

Note: I use EBS 11.5.10.2

Thank you very much
SIM

Registration is not necessary for your developments tailored to work. However, if you plan to use some standard features (i.e. the flexfields, attachments) on your custom objects, you will need to save certain information.

  • How to get the line object table View

    Hello

  • How can we copy the tables, views, etc in one database to another?

    I do not have a solid DBA experience, but was put in charge of the update and the migration of a number of tables and views across several databases.

    I need a workflow better than export and import of tables from files .csv and copy and paste the code SQL of each individual view for the future.

    Can someone point me in the right direction? I am happy to be reading, but have no idea where to look.

    What you need is Tools - Database Export or copy of the database, but if there is a lot of data, the Data Pump will be so much faster. 1 command line for export, to import 1. DP works better for selected drawing or export complete (so also ideal for backups). The export of the database of Sqldev is nice to review, add, or remove the generated script, so more for small interventions and scripting.

  • Watch not the tables, views,... in vs2010

    Hello

    I installed ODP.net + ODT (11i) for use with vs2010 & oracle 10.02.0010 (upgrade to oracle 11).
    The product is installed correctly, I can connect to the database using ODBC and PACO.
    However, when connecting with the ODP in vs2010 I do not see the tables, views, or stored procedures (can not see anything really). When you use ODBC, everything works: I see all the tables, views, etc. which are in the database, and I can ask questions them.
    I also tried to run a query by using the ODP.net and it gave me: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.

    I did a search on the forums, but none of the planned solutions, nothing changed for me.

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Hello

    First of all, make sure that you see "ODP.NET" in the connection to Server Explorer dialog box.

    Then, check the tab "Filters" of the connection dialog box. By default, we block public synonyms and schema objects that you do not own.

    If you still do not see objects, then most likely your DBA not gave you enough privileges to use these tools.

    Try looking the advice I gave in the following thread explaining how to enable tracing ODP.NET. First glance to see that the SQL involved in the ORA-942.
    Then look at the other SQL we deliver and see why you are not able to get all the lines of the.

  • Saved objects in financial reports

    When these r reports imported to the prod. enveroment these related objects keep the link... or we take to re-import objects on the reports again.

    How we can retain the links to the saved objects so that when reports r moved frm dev to prod. EnEV. the links r preserved.

    Just a note, import the saved FIRST objects, otherwise reports cannot find the links and will not appear them.

  • Whether the object is a table, view, or synonym

    In our database, there are a lot of tables/views which have similar fields. I get confused about which is which. In addition, there a lot of synonyms. Are there sql commands to check where an object is a table, view, or synonym for a table/view? If it's a view created from a view, I would like to trace through the hierarchy and find root tables which provide the data.

    Thank you very much.

    Check DBA_OBJECTS to the name of the object type. For synonyms, you can check DBA_SYNONYMS and point of view, you can see DBA_VIEWS.

  • table/view that lists the system tables

    Hi all

    I had no chance for this search the web. What is the name of the table or view in Oracle which contains the list of all tables (object, USER_OBJECTS, USER_INDEXES etc) system?  I used a long time ago and couldn't remember his name. Sorry for this question.

  • Table/view permissions

    I have a dilemma. I was put in place with a database account limited to query an oracle 11 database, it's actually the database backend behind product oracle eBusiness suite. I still find tables/views, I need to question him, but when I query them i.e. Select * from table, it returns 0 results.

    However, I have proven that they do sometimes return no results because the limited account I has limited permissions, then it's not back 0 results that there is no data in the table/view, its because my account is unable to interview him because of permissions. If we execute the query even with an account like applications it returns results.

    Is there a query to list all the tables/views can query my database account. And what is required to run such a query, i.e. APPS etc.

    Or, if I use the table/view as a parameter, if there any question, so that I can run for say A table/view, these accounts have these permissions on the table to display the data?

    Thank you

    Yes, WiZ made reference to ALL_TAB_PRIVS and USER_TAB_PRIVS to get the tables for which the current user has access to, or belonging to the current user.
    But we cannot check for other objects of the user if the current user does not have access to this table in the other schema.

    I hope this helps.

  • Not able to show tables/views to the SQL Developer

    I am a new user of SQL Developer with a new facility. When, in the nav of connections window, I see my db name and a list of items below - tables, views, indexes, etc. Problem is that when I click on "tables", for example, it does not show me a list of tables, even if she acts like he is looking for them. Also, when I use the "Search the database object" function on the Connections tab, nothing is returned, even though I know that I'm looking for a table that exists.

    I thought that perhaps it was not conclusive tnsnames, so I put its location in preferences/base data/advanced.

    I'm sure its something simple...?

  • Relationship between the objects in view with bind variable executed by program

    Hello

    I am trying to create a view link between two objects in view that are query based something like this:

    firstVO

    1. Select P1 in XXX_Table where P2 =: BindVariable1 and

    P3 =: BindVariable2;

    secondVO

    2. Select B1, B2, B3, B4, 1 m env in YYY_Table where B5 =: BindVariable1 and

    B6 =: BindVariable2 and

    B7 =: BindVariable3;

    concatenation of a string of the query above in AMImpl as 'and B8 in ('P1.a', 'P1.b', 'P3.c')' in the AMImpl

    I will execute queries above, based on the variable bind entered by the user in the AMImpl.

    I need to create a link to firstVO.P1 and secondVO.P1 with a 1-based view to * cardinality.

    the problem is when I try to drop the secondVO which is an accessor to the firstVO as a master-child relationship with master table form and as a child, I don't see the details of the child when I iterate the master shape.

    I got my problem solved, the problem was that the master and the children were not in the sink, we can define the child VO by substituting preparerowsetforquery... explained clearly in the post below.

  • To access the tables/views outside of the APEX

    According to the request of Andrew as a separate and somewhat more extensive thread here:

    We have several tables/views created under some schemes; all equipped with grants and public synonyms.

    These tables is visible and accessible by all users-ORACLE (via forms and States - as it has recently used)

    Now, I started with APEX a few days ago - OK, seems to work - but with objects such only created inside of this APEX workspace.

    This kind of things outside OF THE SUMMIT is not visible.

    Why? What is missing? It was one of my questions 1.

    How do these objects visible in the APEX? Of course, we do not want all that stuff again, and existing in bulk.

    I guess that as a very common problem.

    (One solution I found already: creating views inside the APEX to access objects outside.) "It is not comfortable).

    Thank you

    Wolfgang

    Object browser is rudimentary, but behaves in the same way that developer SQL will report on these objects.

    Notice the 'Plan' selection list at the top right.

    If you have tried ' select * from abcxyz "SQL commands, you should have success - in the same way, you should have success in the creation of form/report on abcxyz via the synonym.

  • How to copy all the tables, triggers, etc, from a schema from one user to another

    Hello everyone!

    I'm looking for a QUERY or a stored procedure to copy the tables of a schema of the user to a different schema.

    Should resemble the kind of: copy (select * from object where owner = 'UserIwantToCopyFrom') user = "UserIwantToCopyTO".

    I'm sure that my example is rubbish, but I tried to explain what I want to do.

    Then there is a chance to do in sql code? I have to build a model of a schema of the user with hundreds of tables, triggers, etc. and copy it into several other user patterns.

    Thanks for your advice!

    Jan

    There are many examples available.
    What you generally want to do is:

    For the export, use the job_mode-online option "SCHEMA".
    Example of export

    http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/10g/OracleDataPump10g.php

    DECLARE
      l_dp_handle       NUMBER;
      l_last_job_state  VARCHAR2(30) := 'UNDEFINED';
      l_job_state       VARCHAR2(30) := 'UNDEFINED';
      l_sts             KU$_STATUS;
    BEGIN
      l_dp_handle := DBMS_DATAPUMP.open(
        operation   => 'EXPORT',
        job_mode    => 'SCHEMA',
        remote_link => NULL,
        job_name    => 'EMP_EXPORT',
        version     => 'LATEST');

      DBMS_DATAPUMP.add_file(
        handle    => l_dp_handle,
        filename  => 'SCOTT.dmp',
        directory => 'TEST_DIR');

      DBMS_DATAPUMP.add_file(
        handle    => l_dp_handle,
        filename  => 'SCOTT.log',
        directory => 'TEST_DIR',
        filetype  => DBMS_DATAPUMP.KU$_FILE_TYPE_LOG_FILE);

      DBMS_DATAPUMP.metadata_filter(
        handle => l_dp_handle,
        name   => 'SCHEMA_EXPR',
        value  => '= ''SCOTT''');

      DBMS_DATAPUMP.start_job(l_dp_handle);

      DBMS_DATAPUMP.detach(l_dp_handle);
    END;
    /

    for import, you can use the remap_schema option with:

    DBMS_DATAPUMP.METADATA_REMAP (
       handle      IN NUMBER,
       name        IN VARCHAR2,
       old_value   IN VARCHAR2,
       value       IN VARCHAR2,
       object_type IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL);

  • [OBIEE 11 g] Create customized to group columns in a table view column header

    Hello world

    I got a requirement to group certain columns in the table view with a custom column header name (for example to create a two-level header).

    The layout I have now:

    [Jan]     [February]     [Mar]     [Apr]     [May]     [June]     [Jul]     [August]     [Total sales]

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1          2          3            4          5           6           7          8           36

    The layout I want to achieve:

    [                  Q1                    ] [                   Q2                   ]

    [Jan]     [February]     [Mar]     [Apr]     [May]     [June]     [Jul]     [August]     [Total sales]

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1          2          3            4          5           6           7          8           36

    I use Table View, is it possible to get the above provision? Any comments appreciated. Thank you.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

    It is a simple parameter, it is unpacking already...

    The property "of the topic folder" of your columns allows you to enter the required text.

    PS: Do you really have columns in your field with the name of the month? Is it not something better managed with a hierarchy of real time and using a pivot to display the month columns? In this case the grouping of quarters is already there...
