• 'Attach source file' does not work in Acrobat PDFMaker XI of the word 2013?

  I'm used to define the parameters of PDFMaker Conversion from Word to attach source file to the PDF output. It makes it much easier to open the Word document source and modify it if necessary.

  However, in Acrobat Pro XI & Word 2013, I can't make it work. I move to the word-> Acrobat tab, click on create an Adobe PDF file-> Preferences, then check that the "Attach a source file" is checked. but the PDF output does not seem to meet up with the source of attached file. I realize that I can attach it manually after the conversion, but with Acrobat 9 and Word 2007 it attaches automatically during the conversion (as far as I had put the option).

  Am I missing something? Or has something broken in the combination of Word 2013 + Acrobat XI?

  Once I got my PDF output I clicked on the 'trombone' in the left Navigation pane to open the attachments Panel and the Word DOCX source file was present.

  I need Acrobat to perform tasks are theoretically very simple (open a file, a page to replace and save/close the file).  This should be extremely easy to do once I learned the vocabulary of Acrobat JavaScript.  To this end, I read up on how to script Acrobat.  Unfortunately, it seems not anywhere that simple scripting InDesign and Illustrator.

  On the one hand, the ExtendScript Toolkit is now unnecessary since Acrobat has an integrated "Javascript Console".  It would be perfectly fine, except my console seems to be completely broken.  I IX Acrobat and Acrobat X on the Mac, and both exhibit the same behavior.  Once I started it (and it was enough just trying to figure out how to turn on and start the console in Acrobat X hard!), I type in a simple "3 + 4" in the console and press command + entry (since I don't have a keyboard extended fancy Mac with a keypad), as indicated in the guide of Thom Parker on AcrobatUsers.

  Nothing happens.

  I tried other things, for example by selecting the line of code in the first place, by pressing CTRL + ENTER instead, with another line of code, such as "console.println("Hello.");", etc..  Nothing that I seems to work.  What I am doing wrong?

  Are the fields from_date and to_date Date fields?  If they are then the rawValue will be in the yyyy-mm-dd.  Using the Date constructor to parse a date has always been inconsistent between the environments.  I think that CD player (which has JavaScript 2.8) manages the yyyy-mm-dd, but earlier versions don't (waiting for the dd mmm yyyy format).  This can depend on the locale used as well.  You might be better using the util.scand () method which is more reliable, Yes;

  I get the message "an error has occurred while printing" when I try to print to PDF from my Firefox browser.  When I try to browsers Chrome or Microsoft Edge, nothing happen period.

  I got this error since the update to Windows 10 in Windows 7.  All my browsers and Acrobat XI are up-to-date.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?  Thank you

  After the update to Acrobat DC our dynamic personalized stamps no longer work. Pop ups to enter the data of the user are not more. When you open the PDF stamp if they work, but on the stamping stamp is affixed just without asking for user input via javascript.

  You should place as the custom calculation of one of the fields script and modify the code to check the stampName property.

  Search for information on dynamic PDF badges. There are many examples and code snippets out there in how to do it properly.

  There is even a whole book dedicated to this topic by Thom Parker.
