  I installed the e-business suite R12 (12.0.6) with shared configuration appl_top. I would like to know what I need to run preclone in the context of cloning, on which nodes. If APPL_TOP is shared between the AP & CM node.
  My configuration is: AP1, AP2 - Application layer
  CM1, CM2 - level CM
  DB, DB2 DB nodes.
  
  So the cloning which INST_TOP should I use? Knots of AP? or nodes of the CM?

  Prasad,

  You must run preclone on the source DB and nodes CM only, copy the database files and the application of these nodes from two sources to the lymph nodes of the target (the application, you need to copy twice because it is not shared), and then configure the nodes of the target (run postclone on all nodes).

  I've migrated just my iRec-Web, Web - app, app-forms knots admin and ccm of several APP_TOPS on Windows to a single APP_TOP shared on Linux.

  and it says "Error, your session has expired." and shows me the log in page.

  What is the version of the application? DB version? OPERATING SYSTEM?

  You will find all the details on the error in the Apache logs?

  Is the problem with iRec only pages?

  You have implemented SSO implementation?

  On the distributed APPL_TOP, it copies the form "node b: forms and Web" and the report to the 'node A: CM and Admin'.

  On the shared APPL_TOP, copy the two files on the shared drive.

  Change any file under node $APPL_TOP of layer one application, if it becomes visible for other application-level nodes then you shared APPL_TOP implemented.

  You can also check the value of the following variables, if all have the value YES, then you have shared APPL_TOP.

  s_isAdForms

• Custom form sessions shows don't not at Sessions of forms

  Hi all

  EBS: Node R12.1.3 two PCP with shared appl_top

  DB: R11.2.0.2 RAC 2 nodes ASM

  in OAM-> Site map-> surveillance-> forms sessions - here custom form sessions do not display, while I am able to view all other sessions of form.

  What should I do to get all sessions of custom forms in over surveillance.

  We have Oracle EBS R12 Production site as follows:
  
  2-node Oracle RAC 10 g 2
  2-node Application Tier using shared APPL_TOP
  H/W load balancer
  The AD/OID/SSO integration
  
  We configure DR using Oracle Data Guard as follows on the DR Site:
  2-node Oracle RAC 10 g 2
  2-node Application Tier using shared APPL_TOP
  Load balancer of S/W using the Web cache
  The AD/OID/SSO integration
  
  During the failover test env DR, when we start the 2nd layer of Apps services, we get "FRM-92050: unable to connect to the server/FORMS/FORMSERVLET:-1.
  When we stop the applications Tier 2 services forms work correctly.
  
  When we start a single node of level Apps, forms work correctly.
  
  Want to know how to solve this problem.

  Shared APPL_TOP is shared APPL_TOP and COMMON_TOP

  Application shared file system is shared APPL_TOP, COMMON_TOP 8.0.6 ORACLE_HOME, iAS_ORACLE_HOME

  Battery Tech is 8.0.6 ORACLE_HOME and iAS_ORACLE_HOME and you don't have these shared ORACLE_HOMEs.

  A way to determine whether or not it is shared APPL_TOP by context file settings? other than watching the mount points.

  You can simply create a file under $APPL_TOP of any of the nodes and check if you can see other nodes.

  It does not matter, but common practice is to do on the database layer node, and then on the application tier node.

  One of our customer running Oracle Apps 11i (11.5.10.2) on the Sun O/S layer. Application is implemented on a Sun Server and the database layer is implemented on a TWO node Oracle 10 g RAC.
  
  Now the client wants to know if it is possible to CFP implemented in the current env. If I understand correctly + how to Set Up parallel concurrent processing (CFP) in 11i applications? [388495.1 ID] + at least two nodes of the Application layer are required to implement the CFP. Please confirm.

  Client is willing to provide the additional server to the 2nd Application layer node to configure the CFP.

  Depends on your response above.

  I read it is recommended to use Shared Application Tier file system Shared APPL_TOP for nodes of level Application Multi node for ease of maintenance, patching etc. Don't know how (Local Apps Tier, shared shared Appl or APPL_TOP level file system) to implement.

  If you plan to have a shared file system, use the shared file system.

  But if the requirement is only to PCP then Shared Application Tie File System Shared Appl high maybe not necessary, I guess.

  Edit the files and fix/add entry and then run AutoConfig (you can take a backup of the files before you can change).

  You should be able to use it. However, according to the Oracle docs support is to clone the main node and add more nodes by cloning the context files.
