• Shared not appearing application files is not in iTunes

  Hello!

  I am new to Apple and iTunes, and I come to me a new iPad 2 Air which I will put in place. So far, it's all very nice, but...

  I'm having a problem with the "shared files" apps - where some applications allow you to transfer files directly to them in iTunes. I have a few applications that support this installed, includes VLC and Adobe Reader, but in iTunes, none of these applications appear in the box "Apps". Sync seems generally very well - I have everything syncs OK and I can see the home screen of my camera in this same window Apps:

  

  That I have never seen anything that it is in the list, I tried to reconnect, restart, reset settings, all I can think about, but nothing is displayed. All of the software, under installed everything, probably are the latest versions, and I use iTunes on Windows 10 (32 bit).

  I missed a step somewhere? Is there something I can try to get these shared files to appear so that I can transfer to and from my iPad? Is it another non-iTunes software that can do this?

  As part of the screen is not related to file sharing, which lists the applications that you have in the section My Apps from the iTunes library and allows you to install applications from the computer to the iPad, install app updates from the computer to the iPad and you can delete apps from the iPad - as it is empty, that I guess you have not your apps in your computer's iTunes library.

  If you scroll further down that the screen (for example drag the scroll bar on the right of your screen) you will arrive at the section below file sharing

• ATV 4 Home sharing not showing upward after 10.11.14 / iTunes 12.3.3

  I don't know which update borked... my home iTunes 12.3.3 or El Cap 10.11.14 sharing capabilities. House share used to work before each update. I've tried everything. Does not appear in iTunes, my ATV4 or one of my iDevices. Sharing used to be an option on my iOS devices, but even this is no longer an option because it does not have access.

  Can anyone help? I can't look at one of my home movies, etc..

  You can listen to music, movies, TV shows, photos, and other iTunes content from a computer or device to your Apple TV iOS. The device and the Apple TV must be configured to use the same iTunes account.

  Set up a computer. In iTunes, go to file > home sharing and select turn on home sharing. Enter your Apple ID and password, and then click Activate home sharing.

  Win XP home edition:

  I have some folders that are shared, but if some files have been added after the folder has been shared, I am unable to access it from another PC in the House, unless I go back to the original pc where the records are, cancel the shares and then re-enable records.

  It is very annoying. Is this normal behavior and the limitation of the shared folder on a family Win XP Edition machine, or is this something that needs correcting. Of course, these files are not added directly by a user, but rather by a sharing of program files that stores these files on such predetermined files, once the file is completely downloaded.

  When you "move" a file on the same drive from one place to the other, the permissions of files in this folder are not changed by default.  So if you create a file in a folder where you have only access permission, this permission then follows the file when moved to your share folder.  Perhaps the simplest solution to this problem is to 'copy' the file in the folder share instead of "move".  When you copy, the newly copied file takes the permissions of the folder that contains.  These default values can be changed if you wish.  You can read more here:

• iTunes home sharing not recognized in windows 8

  Have windows 8:

  When I turn on Itunes home sharing on my mac, I can see my PC Itunes library. When I turn on itunes home sharing on my PC I can't see the Mac library. Check the Windows Firewall and Itunes app is allowed.

  Have another PC with Windows XP and there is no problem.

  Can you help me?

  In your help document, they propose to close the router, then restart. It worked I finally got my link with the library in home sharing on both. This problem is solved.

  In the older version of Itunes, we had a 'show menu' at the bottom and we can select "Items not in my library" and import. Neither on my PC or my MAC I see this menu downstairs.  Spin the latest version on the two which is 11.0.2

• Social sharing not appearing is not in the App

  Social sharing is a reason any is not available inside our app.  I went through all project settings to make sure that everything was allowed...

  any ideas on how this can be corrected? I am very close to submit it to google, apple for approval...

  Test yourself on a preflight application? If so, create a new application control upstream, and it should work.

• Worksheet not shared: not cleanup after the tab close / disconnect

  I just did a little test with 4.0.2 1521 - especially w / shared spreadsheets. As it seems, when closing a tab (or even disconnection) on the DB sessions are not cleaned.

  Martin/Gary,

  After having had a look at it and see your diagnosis, you are right in saying that we leave a session hanging out whenever we close a non shared spreadsheet.  A non-shared spreadsheet is exactly that, a spreadsheet with a dedicated connection.  It cannot be shared with another sheet of calculation etc.  Therefore, leaving a session hanging out is a bug, I've referenced in Bug 18853662 - forum: close not shared sheet does not close the connection not shared.

  I just fixed the narrow part on this on our main line and our branch as well so the next version of patch will have this fix.

• Sharing notes iCloud, do not sync on devices of my wife

  My wife and I have an iPhone, iPad and Mac.  My account main iCloud is JeffCloud@iCloud and I use it as my account real iCloud on my 3 devices and Notes turned on.

  His main iCloud is [email protected] and it's what it uses as its real iCloud account but she OFF verified Notes.  Then she has my account [email protected] added as an email account with only verified Notes IT.

  It was our syncing notes to the top.  He worked for a while, but it seems about 1.5 months ago he stopped.  Which is weird, that is, if it adds a note on this account it syncs to his 3 devices, but not to mine.  And if I add a note that it syncs to my 3 devices and on iCloud.com but not hers.  Even if it's all the same account of [email protected] .

  (those who are not in fact the account names, I wanted to just explain the question)

  Here is what I tried

  1. everything was already wise software up-to-date. These are all features of 2015 so that they are on the latest version of iOS 9 and El Capitan

  2. I rebooted everything

  3. I removed and added the iCloud account, both by simply unchecking and rechecking the box and more by signing in fact and come back in.  Also tried to disconnect, restart, then signing back in.

  It if my wife use an account and I use another.  But we are both using the same account iCloud and make these two changes or addition of new tickets in the iCloud section (no local/on my phone)

  What do you see to iCloud.com for these ID.

• Windows 7 can not find the driver for shared printer hp LaserJet 3380

  When I try to add a shared printer on my laptop Windows 7, as a network printer, Windows 7 it locates on the network successfully, but I get the following error messages:
  Windows cannot find a driver for hp LaserJet 3380 PCL 6.
  The file ' *. INF' (unknown) is needed.

  The printer is connected to a desktop pc XP on my home network.

  I tried to attach the printer locally via USB to the Windows 7 laptop and loaded correctly the printer drivers and I printed it. But when I reconnected it the printer on the XP computer I got the error again.

  It is shared, not a network, printer, in order to put up with the TCP - IP option does not work.

  This printer successfully under Vista. I did a clean install of Windows 7.

  The name of the 32-bit driver is different from the name of 64-bit driver.  You create a Local Port which will basically copy the formatted print data from the part of xpmachine.

  I am currently moving all my data from my old MacBook Air to my new year Pro, and it's all gone very smooth and has been a success. With one exception, my notes.

  I have hundreds of notes in the application notes on my MacBook Air. The notes are all "on my Mac", not in the cloud, so I thought I just move to the cloud and get like that on my new MacBook.

  My new MacBook is connected to the cloud and happily sharing notes with my iPhone and the iPad, everything works perfectly.

  But when I tried now activate the notes in iCloud on my old MacBook Air, the problem starts. It does not show the structure for the notes to iCloud and on my Mac, but it's not download/synchronize notes with the cloud. When I add a note to the iCloud on the MacBook Air, it does not appear on another device. When I add a note on my new MacBook, iPhone, or iPad appears on two other devices. Looks like there are has two parallel clouds, which uses the old MacBook Air and the other utilizing the new MacBook and my mobile devices, even if they are all connected to the same account.

  I guess this might have something to do with the different versions, as the old MacBook uses notes 3.3, while the other uses 4.2. Is 3.3 may not work with the cloud? I have not found a way both to update the application notes to a later version.

  With the help of Yosemite 10.10.5

  Any ideas / suggestions?

  Is it maybe possible to copy the notes manually on the new mac? Not by copy / paste it in the application notes, but using the actual files?

  On the MacBook Air, open System Preferences > iCloud.

  Clear the check box next to Notes then select re. Give iCloud minutes re sync your Notes.

• Sharing photos between apps?

  Many third party apps, to import photos, can only look for them within the app Photos (because no file on iOS system). So, to get them in the Photos from another application, you must export them from this application.

  Unfortunately, I'm looking in the menu share standard integrated iOS (share icon), and I do not see a part of option of Photos! I see no email, Pocket, Evernote, Apple Notes, reminders, etc. but not pictures!

  I looked at more... option and no pictures here. I even tried sharing notes of Apple and then trying to share photos from there, but who took me to Safari and there is still no share option Photos here!

  I just put new iPhone 5 s my son for family sharing.  I want to him to have access to the music, apps and images.  So far, there is no evidence for him.  We have different iCloud accounts that I don't want him to have access to everything I do but some things.  How can ensure me that these items are available.   Microsoft does not support to protect files or folders with a password.  Instead, access to the files is regulated by authenticate as a user when you connect, and once authenticated, you will have access to all the files and folders to which the user or group has permissions.

  So even that work, "Simple file sharing" must be disabled. This means that you can do this with XP Home (like service machine). Simple file sharing requires all external connections to authenticate the 'Guest' user no matter what--no real authentication is therefore possible.

  Assuming you have XP Pro and disable Simple file sharing, then the network authentication works something like this:
  If the same user name and password of a user exists on the service machines and the Client, the authentication is automatic (it won't request user name and password - you will be simply authenticated)
  Otherwise, if the same user name exists on both machines but the passwords are different, the connection is automatically rejected
  Otherwise, if the guest user is enabled on the service computer, then the user is automatically authenticated as a "Guest"
  Otherwise, if the guest user is not enabled on the service computer, then it will ask you a user name and password (which I think is what you want).

  In summary, if you still want to request a username and password when someone connects, then you must disable Simple file on your server XP Pro machine sharing, not have the same usernames on both machines and disable the account invited on the service machine (note that "turn off" the account invited in the user Panel do not "neutralizes" it).  To disable the guest account, open a command prompt window (start-> Run-> "cmd") and then, in the command window, enter the command:
  NET user guest / active: No.
  Note that this didn't matter that will prevent to authenticate as the user invited on this machine.
  Even if turn away you from KB307874, is actually the closest you can come with Windows.
