Show/hide actions according to percentage result CP5 quiz button

Hello

I read the various messages on the display to a file in case of success of a quiz, and how to create actions combined with a new slide with buttons to go to another slide.

However, none of these options has solved my problem.

I need a certificate to display (currently on a slide, but could be an external PDF I guess) if the user gets a passing grade.

I have a slide with two buttons (because I can not add a button on a quiz results slide)

"one for ' Get certificate ' happening to the slide with the certificate (the button Get_cert item name)

a single button for "quiz Retry" (element name retry_quiz) which refers the user to the slide corresponding to the first random question slide

So I have written/built advanced actions:

If cpQuizInfoPassFail is equal to 1

See the Get_cert

Hide retry_quiz

If cpQuizInfoPassFail equals 0

See the retry_quiz

Hide Get_cert

But when I run the project in Premiere, when I'm on the pass mark, the two continue buttons to display. (and even when I do not see)

I could have missed something obvious realllllly, so please put me right!  Amybe that's to do with AS3?

See you soon,.

Hello

I don't want to not pop, because I suspect other issues? Can I ask you a few questions?

  1. What is the default status of these two buttons on the additional slide? It must be configured for both at the Invisible in the properties panel.
  2. This action must be triggered by entering the slide with the buttons, as suggested. But I am a little confused by you the description of the action, would have preferred that you posted a screenshot of the action. You define two decisions? Normally you might have solved that with a single decision (see the screenshots)
  3. Did you allow that several attempts in Quiz preferences? Don't forget to delete the revision Quiz, so that the user does not use this button to return to review his answers.
  4. It's probably superfluous, you have configured the two buttons to access the right slide?

I just tried the workflow in a small example and it worked perfectly. Here are the screenshots of the tip action I started entering the slide with the two buttons.

I'm sorry that my current connection does not allow me to download the screenshots. It is my Advanced action ' Passed):

IF

cpQuizInfoPassFail is equal to 1

THEN

See the Get_cert Get_cert = label of the first button, initially hidden; button = certificate text

hide retry_quiz retry_quiz= the second button, initially hidden label; button text = Retry

ON THE OTHER

See retry_quiz

hide Get_cert

  • Advanced to show/hide actions using an object that is set to show the project on another slide?

    I'm working on a piece of senario based e-Learning and I have built a few things with the help of advanced on a slide Actions that must be available in the rest of the project.

    But the idea falls off when I need to copy objects to another slide, give to each new instance and modify the script.

    In this spirit, I have configured the objects on the screen during the rest of the project property, but I am unable to get them to show or hide a different slide when clicking on a button on the slide.

    Is there anyway to make this work? Or am I aiming too high?

    It depends on the version you are using:

    In version 5: you can only hide objects, the value to display for the rest of the project, on leaves where the object is not 'really', where he has his script (http://lilybiri.posterous.com/playing-hide-and-seek-with-captivate-objects)

    Since version 5.5, you can hide AND show this kind of objects perfectly. My blog has a lot of examples of these workflows.

    In version 6, you can even display the buttons in form for the rest of the project, hide and show their. In previous versions, this kind of schedule is impossible for interactive objects.

  • Show/Hide Action on Master Slide

    Is it possible to use an action to show or hide an object, particularly a smart form converted to a button that is placed on a slide Master? I'm building a custom in my course navigation. There are five bars along the bottom of the screen, each representing a chapter in the course. Once they complete a section, the color of the bar should change to indicate completion (effectively a badge integrated than the NAV), and they can then go back and check these sections later by clicking on them.

    I don't see any way to name my smart shapes on slides model, nor is there a way to hide them.

    Thanks in advance!

    Instead to put forms on the master slide, put on the first slide of the project, change their "timing" to the rest of the project and check "Always on top. You will have them on all the slides, and each object has a single identifier. This means that you can solve with a tip action, in any place of the project to change its appearance.

    In this article, I have explained the difference between the two streams of work, either on leaves masters or timed for the rest of the project.

  • show/hide fields with percentages

    I'm trying to find a script to show/hide a field as a percentage that is located in one of the fields. The script that I usually use to base numbers is:

    var r1 = this.getField ("V1");
    var r2 = this.getField ("V2");

    R1. Hidden = true;
    R2. Hidden = true;

    If (event.value < = "100")
    {
    event.willCommit = true;
    {

    R1. Hidden = false;
    }
    }

    If (event.value > = "101")

    {

    event.willCommit = true;

    {

    R2. Hidden = false;

    }

    }

    So I need basically the same thing again but I need to be field appears if "38.00%" or above is entered. If anything lower then it is entered, I need 2 field is displayed... I can't make it work once the decimals are here.

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    The percentage format is just for display and rounds the value of the current field, the value of the actual field is the decimal number created by the division or entered by the user.

    100% is entered as 1.00 but if the result of a calculation, it could be 99, 5 - 1.4. If you want to compare the calculated value, you may need to round the value of the fields for the same number of decimal places that display area. You should be aware that using the Math.round of JavaScript method may cause an error with numbers rounding floating-point. You can use the util.printf method in Acrobat JavaScript to properly round a field value.

    I also wouldn't quotes on numeric constants.

    var r1 = this.getField ("V1");
    var r2 = this.getField ("V2");
    R1. Hidden = true;
    R2. Hidden = true;

    If (util.printf ("% 1 .2f", event.value))<= 1.00)="">
    R1. Hidden = false;
    }

    If (util.printf ("% 1 .2f", event.value) > = 1.01) {}
    R2. Hidden = false;
    }

    Hello

    One way:

    Create an advanced dynamic action.
    Name: Region to hide
    Event: change
    Selection type: item (s)
    Items (s): P200_KOD
    Condition: Expression of JavaScript
    Value:

    $(this.triggeringElement).children("option:selected").html().substring(0,1) !== "V"

    Action: hide
    Fire on the Page loading: true
    Hide all items on the page on the same line: No.
    Action of false: show
    Fire on the Page loading: true
    Display all items in the page on the same line: No.
    Selection type: region
    Region: TEST_REGION

  • Show/Hide - advanced action buttons and images

    So, I thought I had a handle on usage shares advanced to show/hide, but apparently not.

    Here's the scenario:

    -Screen where the user must select one of the 6 options

    -When the user clicks on one of the 'boxes' of the option a check should appear and audio should play

    -All other "cases" should be disabled to avoid audio duplication

    Here's what I did to try to get this working:

    -' Boxes' are buttons, click on success:

    * Success box contains audio that plays (this works)

    Success of the button execute advanced action:

    > hide all other buttons on the slide (it does not)

    > display an image of a check mark in the "checkbox" which has been clicked (does not work)

    > go to the next slide (works, audio from the success box once completed)

    Thoughts? Help! Thanks in advance!

    Hello, unknown fan

    Overlay buttons will not work, so let this idea alone.

    I really want to finish this blog post on audio and widgets. Just an idea and will try to be at the time where I found the time to try something. Why don't you attach audio to an initially invisible object that you show with the same advanced action? This object can be a shape with no stroke and a fill alpha of 0% so that it is invisible to the user. You will have time before the sound can play completely before going to the next slide.

  • Make a field of text/hide according to the results of a drop-down list box

    Hello

    I wonder if someone could help me with this. I want to show/hide some text boxes in my form according to the choice made by the person filling in. For example, there is a dropdown list containing a selection of numbers 1-4. If 1 was selected, the text boxes below 1 would be visible and obligatory, if the 2 have been chosen, 2 text boxes below would be visible and required etc...

    I'm new to FormCalc (only started using it this morning), so simple a possible explanation would be fantastic.

    Thanks for reading!

    Of course, you can have javascript and formcalc in the form. Not only the two in the same field, same event; D

    Okey, let's try some things:

    (1) check if the "binding" from the drop-down list is the same as the values that you choose. In the script you are referring to the bound values.

    (2) other names for the Textfields would be better, because it is more difficult to refer to "Textfield1 [1]" then to for example: 'New '. I was just to lazy to give them names. (If it's on another page or subform, you refer to the fields correctly: as MyForm.FirstSubform.FirstTextfield... this name lies in the specific script field.)

    (3) check your script once more... want to make invisible mandatory fields?

    (4) check if your form is dynamic. (If it isn't you will not see the changes...)

    You should probably do it in small steps, such as:

    (1) first of all, you refer to areas such as:

    This.rawValue = Firstfield.rawValue;

    If the changed value fields got you its name and to be sure that the event you put is the right one.

    (2) try the different parts of the script and look at how it works. Problems can be more easily found and then

  • [SOLVED] Show/hide options in af:navigationPane

    Hello.

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.0

    I followed this tutorial http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E18941_01/tutorials/jdtut_11r2_43/jdtut_11r2_43.html to create a menu of left of base and clear in my request.

    This tutorial shows moving to other topics, but I have created a simple menu on the left, with a list.

    I haved created one unlimited workflow, drag and drop a wildcard character, then the views, then the control flow... It works perfectly

    In the JSF model, in the left side, I have this code:

    <af:navigationPane id="pt_np1" hint="list" value="#{supervision_menu}" var="supervisionInfo">
                        <f:facet name="nodeStamp">
                          <af:commandNavigationItem text="#{supervisionInfo.label}" id="pt_cni1"
                                                    destination="#{supervisionInfo.destination}"
                                                    action="#{supervisionInfo.doAction}"/>
                        </f:facet>
                      </af:navigationPane>

    I need an advanced feature, and I want to show/hide some options, based on a parameter.

    I need to run a display with this parameter object, process the results, in order to get to know the options that could be shown or hidden.

    So, my questions are:

    • How can I force to run this control as the first step of this flow?
    • In menu.xml and af:commandNavigationItem, we're visible attribute. Where should I put the condition?

    Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

    Hi user,

    I was about to give you this http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/learnmore/48-sitemenu-protection-169190.pdf talk here about what you need to do. However, since you are not allowed to change the approach, you need access somehow to the UserID and ExecuteWithParams your 2 viewObjects with the previously created and applied ViewCriterias based on the user ID. After that, I don't know how you can use the visible property of the menu.xml, but if you can get your hands on your ViewObject attributes then you will need to make the comparison to show/hide according to the role.

  • Show/hide fields based on T/F control - only showing or hiding, not both.

    Hi Forum,

    I'm looking to show/hide fields address based on a T/F control (or a single entry check box).

    My online form has a number of business address fields, a T/F control and a number of postal address fields. I want the mailing address fields to hidden when a user clicks on the box 'As Above' (and demonstrated once again if they click this box once more).

    I used the sample code (https://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/process_gs/CPRCW/GUID-F3BD3386-F333-45C6-AA56-C77136D169E5.htm) as a starting point for my Web form rule and it works as expected the first time that a user clicks area T/F (i.e. He's hiding the post fields) but it does not work the second time they until it clicks (where I assumed that fields would still be visible).

    The T/F box has the following options:

    true = as above

    false = No

    And my web rule looks like this:

    If (AsAbove.value = true) {}

    PostalAddress.visible = true;

    PostalState.visible = true;

    PostalPostCode.visible = true;

    } else {}

    PostalAddress.visible = false;

    PostalState.visible = false;

    PostalPostCode.visible = false;

    }

    I tried the same thing (with similar results) using a Checkbox control with a single option (according to the example code)

    If (PostalAddressCheckbox [0] .value == 'As Above') {}

    PostalAddress.visible = true;

    PostalState.visible = true;

    PostalPostCode.visible = true;

    } else {}

    PostalAddress.visible = false;

    PostalState.visible = false;

    PostalPostCode.visible = false;

    }

    As verified does not seem to be supported, is there another way to accomplish what I'm after, or I missed something somewhere simple (and y at - it documentation on the T/F control)?

    See you soon,.

    James.

    Hello

    Web Forms address these true-false as the boxes and, as such, in the form of tables.

    You can see if you try to print the TrueFalse value. You should get something like java object lang @XXXXXX

    Try to put the code as follows (in bold and underlined):

    If (AsAbove[0].value = true """""") {}

    PostalAddress.visible = true;

    PostalState.visible = true;

    PostalPostCode.visible = true;

    } else {}

    PostalAddress.visible = false;

    PostalState.visible = false;

    PostalPostCode.visible = false;

    }

    This should do the trick

  • Show/hide region when the drop-down list is changed

    Hello

    But the region has still shown!

    Also, I used a JS function (in the dynamic action of the place) but I met the same result.

  • Creating conditional actions based on the results of the quiz

    I have a quiz at the end of my captivate file and I try to get to show different based on images if you have passed the quiz, or if you failed. For example if you pass, I want to show an image of the tick, and if you do not have an image of the cross, on the results slide.

    I tried to create this by implementing a conditional action. I put the two images on the slide and they hid. Then I have a conditional action value:

    IF
    cpQuizInfoPointsscored greater than or equal to 70

    ACTION

    See the Image_tick

    ON THE OTHER

    See the Image_cross

    When I play the quiz or image shows that I have success or failure (the quiz is set to a 70% pass - there are 10 questions, and all are worth 10 points)
    I am new to Captivate so that any help would be appreciated!
    Thank you

    Each action must be triggered by 'something', which is an event. You must attach to an event, I suspect that the event on enter score slide is one that suits. Select the slide of score, look in the properties panel, tab Actions, perform actions on enter, choose the action.

    In addition, there is a difference between the system variable cpQuizInfoPointsscored and cpInfoPercentage. Personally, I would use the simpler cpQuizInfoPassFail:

    IF cpQuizInfoPassFail is equal to 1

    See the tick

    On the other

    See the cross

  • Show/hide the buttons of different page

    Hi all

    I was responsible for creating an interactive PDF of several page which is basically a questionnaire. Each page will have one question with the results of all issues gathered in a table at the end. Ideally, I would like to answer each question to send to a cell in a table but I can't find a way to get there, so my solution was to use radio buttons to select the buttons for results and responses. I had planned to assign an action show/hide radio buttons to reveal the answer on another page. During testing I ran into a problem when you configure the action show/hide, it allows me to select a show/hide button, unless its on the same page as the option button! Does anyone know if there is a solution to this? If someone can not advice me how I build such a feature?

    Thanks in advance,

    JS

    In Indesign, you will need to install the buttons in response to the same page as the radio buttons for the construction of all hide / display the activations. It's the only way you will be able to set these properties. Once you have completed and tested, you can now move the buttons in response to another page. Option buttons to activate hide/show buttons to answer to a different page. I have a test file that shows, if you want, I can send it to you.
