  I use Jdev 11.1.1.6.
  
  I have a workspace Jdev containing the business component (entity objects, view and application module objects exposing the your). This workspace is deployed to a library of the ADF. This library is packed with DB connection details.
  
  I have a different workspace Jdev which needs to consume this library of ADF data model. This workspace is actually just the layer view (no business at all components).
  I added the data library ADF model to his draft opinion and it is showing application module and your sub of the data controls.
  
  My question is: how will this project view to connect to DB when running?
  It allows the connection of packaged data model ADF Libabry? If so, how?
  or should I create a business under this workspace view, just the purpose of connection project? If Yes, then what is the use of connections, including creating the library of the ADF?

  Hello

  It uses the connection in the library of the ADF. However, I recommend that not save you the database connect information in the library of the ADF. Instead:

  -set the ADF BC model to use JDBC data sources
  -In the library of the ADF, configure it to contain only the name of data source
  -In the view project (the workspace) set up the database connection that is exposed by the library

  When the library is imported, verify the Application resources--> connections and right click on the name of the connection that is imported to configure

• Model quick question

  Hey guys, I am an intern in a non-profit and they put me on day of their Web site. I've been designing Web sites for a while, but I have a question which I stem, probably because I haven't used Dreamweaver templates have long before. My boss wants to be able to update the header/footer and put her updated on the entire site, which would be no big deal normally except that it uses also a model that has 6 different layouts to choose from, which is a home, contact, blog, page etc, everything she is planning on using.

  My original plan was to make 6 different pages based on the template of original house I did, copy and paste the code of 5 other patterns to make them identical to the 6 page layouts that came with the model, and then just duplication regardless of the provision was necessary for each individual page. However, I discovered that a duplicate of a page based on a template does not automatically update as the page it is the replica would be. Is there a simple way to get around this? My boss is adamant about only having 1 header/footer to change, not 6, so I really need to get this figured out. Thank you very much!

  DW templates (.dwt files) have very specific and child uses Pages created must be created by using the appropriate method. Be sure to completely familiarize yourself with models DW here: https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/topics.html#dynamicpod_reference_11 before attempting to use them. They can jump into your face fairly quickly.

• VCenter datastore model card question

  It is perhaps more a matter of functionality of feature. I've deployed a device vCenter and 3 physical hosts connected. vMotion has not been activated yet so that the servers are autonomous.

  I created a template on server 2 to deploy virtual machines. There was a file name and network boot / iso associated with the model. The model has been used to deploy the VM to the Server 3. There are a few complaints from the wizard on the iso and the different not available due to the physical host network. The model deploys very well and the virtual machine is then updated with the correct DVD and network information. The warehouses of data on both servers are local to that time.

  My question is, although he seems to have absolutely no connection with the data store, the plan stresses the relationship between the data store on server 2 with the VM on the Server 3. Is it correct to say that this is due to the original still on server 2? All disks, DVD, network, etc. on the deployed vm are local to the Server 3.

  The problem came from snapshots, which contained references to the old host. Once those that have been deleted, the map display correctly.

• Add another style to my library of graphic styles

  Hello!  I have a nice graphic Style "Functional Classification" defined.  My needs have changed, and I need to add extra fillings to this graphic Style defined by the user.  I can't understand how to add an element - is - it possible or should I create a new palette of graphical Style?

  Then you will need to copy and paste objects with the new graphic Styles in the new Document profile that allows you to create a file of file > new or file model if you use one. Open the file you need in the file > open and navigate to the file. Paste items into the file and then drag each to the graphic Styles Panel and name correctly. Remove the pasted objects and save the file. If you use a template file, then use Save as and replace the original with the new version. New Graphic Styles are now avialable when you do a File > New.

• BI Publisher data model / query question

  I'm designing a report of BI Publisher where I need to show negative numbers in red. I'm perfectly fine with the help of the conditional formatting to do this (just using the default value is conditional formatting in the add-in in MS Word, that generates code like this:)

  I have columns returning who sometimes have a NULL value in them, and when they have the value NULL, it causes the foregoing to the pipe upwards. So I thought, 'I'll just add IfNull() in queries defined in the model data, and who will take care of the problem... "
  
  that works - a little. Now, my problem is if I have to go back and change the query for some reason, I get an error "query cannot be parsed, please modify the query manually. I really don't want to do that, I wish that other developers do NOT have to manually change the queries.
  
  So my question is - is it possible to add in the IfNull() directly in the query designer, so it should not be changed manually from that moment?
  
  p.s. using IfNull OBIEE server as our data source.

  I don't think there is a way to add the ifnull condition in the query designer. So, you will need to manually change the query...

  In your model so you can add additional control like this:
  <0?>...

• Loading library question in FCPX

  Thank you very much for taking the time to look at this post.
  The prospects are much appreciated.

  A library where I worked on last month has suddenly stopped working and does not allow me to access, causing FCPX beachball constantly.

  The library has worked fine until this morning.

  It is stored on an external hard drive that is around the age of 3 months.

  This is what happened:

  • Opens the library "AYA sound Film.
    • Went to make a change with a fade on one of the clips.
    • Received this message:

  

  • I checked the hard drive
    • The permissions are all the same and are very well
    • Finder said that there was still 1.9 TB of disk space.
      • Disk utility, says that the disk is full - although it seems not to be when I copied the big files on it to see if it is full.
      • Other libraries on this disc opens without problems and can be used.
  • I stopped and started again.
    • Tried to open the "AYA sound Film" library and could not.  FCPX said that it is opening, then constantly beach balls.  He doesn't even get as much as the jpg above.
  • Visited my backups FCPX.  None of the backups for this project work.
    • Backups for other work projects.
  • FCPX refused to open.
    • Stop down and started again.
  • Preferences FCPX deleted.  -FCPX again, but there is no difference when trying to access the library, it's just the balloons of beach on the opening of the library.
  • Library of copied on another drive - once again no difference.
    • Files copied to a new library - package has failed.
  • Tried on another computer - same problem.

  I don't know what is happening.  I made this library in exactly the same way as other libraries I knew in FCPX, and I have never encountered this before.  All media source are fine, so I could go and rebuild it from scratch, but I would really prefer not if there was another way to do it, because that would be the loss of work several weeks of!

  How did the external hard drive formatted and connected? How much free space is on the system drive.

  This sounds boring. Suppose you have trashed preferences and restarted.

• HP Photosmart Premium c309a MODEL. Questions of fault. Cannot print

  The questions got a little worse. with the days there is printing OK. Although the scan not OK. showed through software as any link if there was a connection and the unknown state of the cartridge. and showed with software could not click the scanning control.

  Today cannot be printed. Although Wi - Fi paper printing test page which is OK

  Ethernet connection indicated via this software (HP print and Scan Doctor) as being OK

• Photos library question: when I click on the library, it is no longer updated my photos.

  I went through many of the solutions found here:

  • Try to restore default libraries that does not resolve the issue
  • Created a new optimized photos library and he met the same problem, not to display images once clicked on

  In addition, if I go directly to my folder my pictures, I can't arrange the folder by month.  When I select the month, the system just sits there like I never made this choice.

• Upgrade application/library question

  I have a library (let's call it lib.cod) that is used by a set of applications (app1.cod, app2.cod,... appN.cod etc.).

  If I make changes to lib.cod, at some point, I have to update the various appN.cod files. Clearly if appN.cod calls a function that no longer exists in lib.cod I'll have to update, and I think that purely internal changes to lib.cod do not update files appN.cod.

  Is there a general statement of what changes in lib.cod require appN.cod update?

  If you introduce new methods and retain the name of cod-module library old applications should work ok.

  In my experience, it's ok and it works perfectly.

• Media Player Library question after the drive letters changed - Solution found

  I wanted to share a solution to a problem that I found and after searching on Google, I found no answer.  But after some perseverance I managed to fix it myself.

  I installed Win 7 & got to read all of my media files in WMP12, no problem.  However, I changed the drive letters on drives where my video, music and photo files were required, then lost all the details of the library.

  I thought I could rebuild the media player library by updating the files included in the relevant libraries, but it did not work.  I tried various other corrections posted (mainly by deleting all files in WMP library so he could rebuild), but without success.  What I found worked was:

  Close WMP and Media Center
  Remove all the libraries (music, pictures, video) file paths, so no files have been included.
  Run Regedit
  Search for all references to the old drive letter paths & modify registry data show new car path (for example, my music was on E:\My music, after assigning new drive letter, as it's on the music of H:\My, so I searched for all instances of music E:\My replace E) : by: :)
  Restarted
  A run WMP
  Added the new path of the folder in the library
  Hey presto, he began to rebuild the music library!

  Hope this helps someone else that I spent several hours of frustration of trying to understand this one!

  Thank you. A few trips to REGEDIT and I finally found him. There were two places «...» Of the Shell folders' and '... User Shell Folders ". After making sure that both had updated letters my multimedia files are fluid in. Thanks again!
