I am trying to reinstall from the recovery disks, but I get a request a password to... How can I re install from the recovery disks.
Thank you very much...
I guess you mean the BIOS password that occurs at the beginning.
Well, you can not remove this BIOS password by yourself. Only the Toshiba service partner can do.
In this case contact service in your country, and it can remove this password.
I just got a M5 from ebay that has a bios password. I know the password, but I want to get rid of it, so that the laptop is not protected.
I installed the password utility, but all options are grayed out (I'm logged on as administrator in windows xp)
Tried to change password in the bios but just get "Suppression refused" (I see only half of the bios options)
See you soon
> I know the password, but I want to get rid of it, so that the laptop is not protected.
The BIOS password can be removed in the BIOS settings.
I put t understand that it is not possible in your case.
First, you will need to insert the current password.
Then, you will need to insert the new password. If you want to remove the password, press ENTER (leave the new blank password option). Then press again the button ENTER.
Save the changes by pressing F10 and exit the BIOS.
Usually, this should work.

You must understand that the BIOS password is a very important protection and we cannot discuss in the public forum about this.
How to remove the BIOS is not always the same and Tecra, as cell phone business model, is quite complicated procedure of withdrawal of the BIOS and it can be made by Toshiba only service provider.
So I need help for my laptop.
If I forgot my password and I want to remove my bios password
On this forum, we discussed several times on the BIOS password.
Anyway, as you can see BIOS password is very important for the security of the laptop and access to the data stored on the laptop. BIOS password removal is a kind of very secret and may not be posted in public forums like this.
Many laptops in the world are stolen and blocked by BIOS password. It's easy to check some forums like this one and read how to remove BIOS password and unlock the mobile.

I am a technician in a large enterprise COMPUTING and have been presented with a Tecra M3 which took the user/HDD to set passwords.
I need to redistribute the laptop to another employee, but I need to make sure that no game of passwords of the bios.
Now that I know what is the existing password, I have reset / removed the user password, eliminating 'password =' fast before the start.
However, I find no docco to tell me how to remove the HARD drive password. I am always prompted with "password HARD drive integrated =" command prompt.
Can I put it, I change it. I just can't take it off.
It's probably somewhere simple, I'm not quite familiar with this model.
I should note here: I KNOW WHAT IS THE EXISTING PASSWORD, so I'm not a suspect type "how to bypass a password disk HARD unknown?". I just need to know how to, or remove it completely if the new user-to-be is not invited.
You should be able to remove the HARD drive KNOWN password in the BIOS. I put t understand why you aren't able to do.
About your statement, you can set HARD drive password and change the HARD drive password.
I think you should try to remove the HARD drive as the master password BIOS password.
Try to use the Enter key to change the password for the drive HARD and don't anything else type.
In my opinion what one possibility to remove no matter what password and I think he should functions

I think that the Bay is placed at the bottom of the unit.
Remove the screw that is blocking the Bay, and you will have access to the module.

so: I'm a computer technician and I fix a computer for a customer:
laptop: Toshiba satellite C875D-107
problem: he asks a password of bios during start-up of the pc and the password is unknown by my client.
so I would like to remove the password of the bios reset
what I'm trying:
* remove the battery, battery cmos, hard drive, ram, wait 2 days...: no good: the password is still there!
* I see somewhere on the net, for the C875D, I have to short-circuit the JRST2101 or JRST2001 rider: I try but nothing more, the password is still there!
Please don't get me wrong, but as a computer technician, you should know how it works.
BIOS technical removal cannot be discussed in public forum because they are authorized personal only.
The BIOS is very important security feature and many laptop owners using such method to block machines and access to the important data.
If someone here explains how BIOS password can be removed everyone can read and unlock some laptops stolen for example.
What I can say is that there are several different techniques, how BIOS password can be removed and it is not the same on all models of laptops.
What you need to do is to tell your customer or your friend that the BIOS password removal can be made by Toshiba service only so it should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
On this unit there is a password when loading, unless he is blocked access to a computer, and the password is lost. How to reset the password? Maybe there is no service password?
There is no password service but the service method. Contact service partner in your country and they will remove it for you. It costs but not much.
Best solution is to ask the previous owner on correct password.

I just got a new computer yesterday. Only my husband and I will use the computer. I removed the password from the splash screen, but I don't want to be a password on the computer at all. I know that when I "ferment" he made put me the password back in. If the computer goes into "sleep" mode I have to put the password in? We simply don't have the need of a password.
Windows 8 allows you to use a photo as your password or PIN. You must perform three actions on the picture you want to use as your password so you can connect. The way which allows you to retrieve account information is different for a customer who is simply using Microsoft Account to log online to access their Hotmail account.
