Tip action does not follow the direction 'else '.

Hello

I use 8 Captivate and trying to create a tip action putting in question a matter of access point.

Currently I have:

If (all conditions are met):

If cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice [is to] 0 ((literal - as generated by Captivate)

Then:

Run the Javascript: window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValue ("cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice", "OK");

Another thing:

Run the Javascript: window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValue ("cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice", "Invalid");

(FWIW, I am confident in the "then" Javascript, have used this script in similar advanced conditional actions.)

However, regardless of whether cpQuizInfoAnswerChoice is 0 (that is, correct) or appears empty (that is, incorrect), advanced action always returns the If condition (if the parameters are respected).

I suppose one way to solve this would be to understand what is generated by Captivate for cpQuizInfoAnswer when the question is incorrect, but can't seem to find. Another way would be to create an advanced conditional action based on the question if the question has been marked as Correct or Incorrect, but this doesn't seem to be an easy option.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to work around this problem!

I haven't tried the custom hotspots, but will be for future projects - it's more trouble than it was worth.

I end up creating multiple points of access, with the first (= 0) being a "dummy" and the second (= 1) being the right answer. Then, I created my conditional Action advanced to return "Incorrect" If the answer is 0 or null (because the system identifies equivalents) and "correct" If the answer is 1.

Thanks for all your help in this, Lilybiri!

    But if I use modified the query, the edition/search/default propagation sheet / buttons disappeared.

    These can be copied or moved to the new report area.

    So, there is no work around in apex 2.0? and this problem is solved in the apex 4.0?

    There is no workaround in 2.x, nor is there a solution to 4.0 because there is no problem: APEX works as expected.

    Yes.

  • Tip action does not work when I add a second block of decision

    I'm writing an advanced action 8 Captivate. In response to a question about the points, the user types a number in a text entry area. When they support, the fast action will assess the number. If it is 10, the program should jump to a slide that shows that 10 is the right answer. (When I do just that in a single block of decision, it works.)

    However, the full tip action must assess if the value is higher or lower than 10, then return the user to the question slide and displays an appropriate message. When I add the part in a second decision block, advanced action performs as expected if an incorrect value is entered, but does not work if the correct value is entered. It does is display the question slide once again.

    Here is the code:

    Captivate advanced actions code_01.jpg

    Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Should there be an ELSE statement in the first block of decision? I tried to continue, but that did not help.

    -Stuart

    The logic of your advanced action is not correct. All decisions are always evaluated. What is happening here is the following:

    1. First decision check if var is equal to 10; If this is the case, it will change to slide 2
    2. Second decision check if var is greater than 10, if it is accurate, it will move on to slide 1. I guess the capPoints1High is ON slide 1?
    3. BUT here's the logic bug: If If is not greater than 10, which is also the case when it is equal to 10, it will change to slide 1, although already, he jumped to slide 2 first with the first decisioin

    Two possible solutions:

    1. decision of the switch 1 and 2 (one easier)
    2. remove the ELSE part of decision 2 and create a decision 3 to check if var is less than 10
  • OATS: script entering does not in the if-else statements

    I created a functional test using Oracle's Web. My database file (.csv) contains a number of numbers that are used to browse through the script with different values. now in my loop for, I have included an if-else with action statements in these (Actions like) by clicking on the different tabs. Now, when I run my script, is to not enter the if-else statement and jumping directly to the next step.

    Here are my script:

    beginStep ("search page", 5)

    {page opening}

    String Var1 = (string) 'value from the .csv data bank ";

    for (int i = 1; i < = 2; i ++)

    {

    beginstep("/ASC",0)

    {

    if(var1=="ABC")

    {

    Task1;

    Task2;

    }

    ElseIf (Var1 == "efg")

    {

    Task1;

    Task2 ;}

    }

    }

    endStep();

    beginStep("/asc",0)

    {

    Task3;

    Task4;

    }

    endStep();

    }

    According to my above script, the script is to jump directly to TAsk3 and 4, instead of going to task if-else performing 1 and 2.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Tip action DOES not work in the Flash output

    Hello

    I created a module in line with Captivate 9 using an advanced conditional action to display the button at the end of 2 sections.

    The trigger works well in the release of HTML5, but it does not work in the Flash output: users need to go back to the slide with the action advanced a second time in order to show the next button.

    It is the created tip action:

    advanced_action.png

    Help, please. Thank you

    Lisa

    Change the order in the updated standard measure jump to slide as last order, or at least after the command of the increment.  The actions are executed in sequence, if you jump first to this slide, where the on enter event is executed, the variable has not yet been incremented. Try to see if it solves the problem. HTML is different from SWF to react (it is converted to JS so that SWF to ACE).

    You post the screenshot of the timeline.

    Moreover, as I have indicated already, I would add continue to the part of the TIME as well as the ELSE part. I learned that, in certain circumstances, a conditional action with that one decision, and no ELSE part does not work well. It is not a problem if you have several decisions.

  • Tip action: a conditional action does not execute the final decision

    Hello

    I'm working on a program of Captivate (7). We have a tip action that runs when entering the program or the first screen.

    The program transmits the data of Captivate to a database via Javascript to a .NET application.

    After each of us the registration form that the user saw the screen and assign it to a user variable: v_lastmod = 1, 2, etc. On the way to the next screen, it passes the data to the database via Javascript to a .NET application and .NET passes a redirect response. So it basically loads the program again. Entering the first screen where I have a display "Loading" (just a screen with loading as text), according to your v_lastmod, it climbs to a particular slide. The tip action uses "If" and "else", "if" v_lastmod = 1, jump to "4 slide 4" etc. ".

    We are able to do it for all the decisions that are in advanced actions, until we get to the lastmod = 19 (which is where we stop registration for this variable).

    So, say for example v_lastmod = 19, rather than jumping to the appropriate slide, it goes to the screen first and then stops on the second slide.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

    If all goes well, this didn't seem to be confused because I am not developer but program file Captivate .NET.

  • When I scroll through the mask of image sequence does not follow the layer of the timeline?

    Another problem. I simply scroll the image sequence and you can see on the screenshot that the mask remains where it was in the beginning. I applied red tinted effect (just to show you), and it does not stick to the station when scroller is at the end of the timeline which is say that the mask is not to follow. But it should, because the mask is the image sequence. Why? Please take a look. Maybe there is something wrong with the Ctrl c and Ctrl v method - it's how I inserted my BW mask in the layer mask?

  • Wallpaper does not follow the model of VD

    Hello

    I've got models put in place and working properly, and I got the persistent work and pools set up.  But the office - administrator - on the model is replaced by the default XP landscape image when people log on the VDs.

    I am running XP SP3 and the 'Documents and administrator' is empty.  The "All Users" have all the icons, but not the bottom and not the graphics settings.  If I copy the Administrator profile to all users, I lose all icons and settings and still do not have the background or the graphics settings.

    How can I get the settings in the default - or the profiles of all users so that anyone who connects to one of my VDs will get the default information and enhanced graphics settings?

    Tom and Christoph trying to say here is that you need to copy the profile to the default user profile, and not to some other profile.

    For example, get your vdiuser1 as you like it with your paper painted, etc.

    close the session

    Newspaper with the local administrator or something else that vdiuser1

    Do right click my computer > properties > Advanced tab > user profiles settings > select vdiuser1 > click Copy To > go to c:\docs and settings > click on default user (if you do not see, you must display hidden files/folders > click Ok > click ok to the warning > click ok or close, etc.)

    now, go to documents and settings, and delete vdiuser1

    disconnect from the local administrator

    Log in as vdiuser1. your wallpaper settings / should be there.

    I see what you mean. There is 1 template in the Optional default 15 ('Label') theme with help that is missing the tag 'label' and 'for' attribute you need. I would like our theme / template that developers. Thanks for reporting this.
