• Tips for creating an application with web services please?

  I created a simple application for a client who interacts / monitors a device VISA with LV 2009.  The architecture is essentially a state machine with a timeout for VISA calls that retrieve the current state.

  The client asked that the app will also be controlled via the web and asked me to set up a demo with one or two simple functions.  I have the experience to bring charges against the Server Web LV7 model, but not with web services.

  So here's what I did...

  (1) added a line to my application that would inject actions in the state machine.

  (2) created a simple VI pushes these actions in the queue and plans to use it as the Web Service.

  And then I followed the examples for Web Services, thinking that the Web server is running in the same program as the development environment, such as the version LV7.  This doesn't seem to work.

  Could someone give me a quick overview on how best to do that, or to report an article?  I have simple working WS, but here are a few questions...

  We met this difficulty with our web app (LV 2009) as well.  Because now we feel the solution the easiest way is to activate the VI server in your main application (EXE) VI and place calls to its hierarchy of web services in the open Application > VI Open > call by Ref > close VI > structure to close the Application.

  Although we try to minimize the use of the present in web services, it makes sense for some resources shared and accessible throughout the world as references to database, configuration globals, etc.

  I also note that there seems to be an instability that we have not been able to identify which may (or not) be attributed to the use of this technique.  The symptom is LabVIEW from memory immediately at some point.

  I am currently looking into migration towards 2010 LV, and it seems that the same constraints between instances of the application are in place.  I expect that, but I was expecting some more simplified with the next version of LV interprocess communication methods.

  This is possible since the end of the hosting platform. If you are using Business Catalyst to host your website, you can use events, campaign of subscriptions module, attach the subscriptions etc. of the area.

  You can create events/announcements on end of BC and then add the module in the Muse page which on post will show the modules on the page.

  I have a loop 'for' which can take different number of iterations according to the number of measures that the user wants to do.

  Inside this loop, I'm auto-indexation four different 1 d arrays. This means that the size of the tables will be different in the different phases of the execution of the program (the size will equal the number of measures).

  My question is: the auto-indexation of the tables with different sizes will affect the performance of the program? I think it slows down my Vi...

  My first thought is that the compiler to the LabVIEW actually removes the Matlab node because the outputs are not used.  Once you son upward, LabVIEW must then call Matlab and wait for it to run.  I know from experience, the call of Matlab to run the script is SLOW.  I also recommend to do the math in native LabVIEW.

  While AL32UTF8 is certainly recommended for the Oracle database character set, use only, if your application provider has confirmed that their application will work with a set of characters to multibyte database.

  To create a database US8PC437 (it is rarely a choice, in fact) with DBCA 11.2, select the "character sets" tab, once shown, then select the option 'Choose from the list of character sets' and uncheck 'Show recommended only character sets '. This will add US8PC437 to the "Database character set" drop-down list. Select "US8PC437" from the list and continue the process of creation.

  But first, contact your provider and ask a compatible Unicode version of your application.

  When I draw a line in Illustrator, I can't be able to draw directly from the anchor with another line. He becomes just the line.

  No clue on the keyboard shortcuts, shortcuts, preferences, etc. on the way around?

  See how I turn the line, instead of just shooting from the end of it? I have to work BACKWARDS. Which is quite annoying.

• How to read the data with different XML schemas within the unique connection?

  • I have Oracle database 11g
  • I access it via JDBC: Slim, version 11.2.0.3, same as xdb.
  • I have several tables, each has an XMLType column, all based on patterns.
  • There are three XML schemas different registered in the DB
  • Maybe I need to read the XML data in multiple tables.
  • If all the XMLTypes have the same XML schema, there is no problem,
  • If patterns are different, the second reading will throw BindXMLException.
  • If I reset the connection between the readings of the XMLType column with different schemas, it works.

  The question is: How can I configure the driver, or the connection to be able to read the data with different XML schemas without resetting the connection (which is expensive).

  Code to get data from XMLType is the implementation of case study:

  Then it works. Still, can't get it work with XMLType in resultset. On the customer XML unwrapping explodes trying to pass to another XML schema. JDBC/XDB problem?

• Problems with separation of the results in different lines. Group question?

  It's exploitation forest pallets that is moved to a station and then number of boxes is picked off the coast. (To make it more simple, I only show a palette in above example.)
  
  I would like to introduce the result with one row for each time that the palette were at the station, as:

  Pallet          Picked          Time
  A          3          11:11
  A          5          18:20
  A          ....          .....

  This means that the same palette can be showned on several lines, as happened to the station several times. I tried several different 'GROUP BY', but I can't get it to work.
  For example, I tried to group by time, but this fails if a pallet is moved twice per hour or if the boxes are picket at different times (for example, first box picked 09:59, last box 10:01)
  
  Anyone has a suggestion how to fix this problem?

  Can you explain what defines a group?

  Looks like you say that a group is a subset of a palette. If we organize all the lines for a palette in the order of time, a new group starts whenever we have a line where status = 'MoveIn. In other words, a group consists of a line with status = "MoveIn" and all the lines immediately after, in order by time, up to, but not including, the next row with status =-"MoveIn. Is this fair?

  If so, you can use the function COUNT (or SUM) Analytics to see how many lines with status = "MoveIn" have already taken place, in order by time, like this:

  If you would care to post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for your sample data, and then I could test this.

  This assumes that the combination (palette, time) is unique. Your sample data includes:

  I suppose that you decide to simply not show the full time, and your data is really something like:

  Otherwise, how do you know if these two lines are in you the same group or not? You may need to add a break to the analytical ORDER BY clause. For example, if you say "ORDER BY time, * status *", then, if the above two lines really have exactly the same time, to the second, then one with status = "MoveIn" would be considered as prior to the line with status = 'Choose'. "

  There are a few methods that work. Here is one.

  (1) select your table cells

  (2) open the race Panel

  3) click the blue lines of the proxy image in the Panel of stoke to deselect the lines inside and high and low lines

  (4) 0 the value of the weight of the race (or change the color of the None swatch)

  

  Oh and for the love of your fellow designers or the person that allows you to edit your work in the future... do NOT use a white box to hide the traits of lines and columns in the table.

However it does not seem that I am able to do this without using the lightbox widget and free shape thumbnails. Now, I know that I can create thumbnails of freeeform and position them where I like, but it is, they all change together and remain in the same proportions. This help me I have pictures portrait and landscape. I want the thumbnails to have identical heights but different widths.

• problem of traffic flow with tunnel created the network with a tunnel to a VPN concentrator

  Hi, I worked with Cisco and the seller for 2 weeks on this.II am hoping that what we are witnessing will ring a Bell with someone.

  Some basic information:

  I work at a seller who needs from one site to the other tunnel.  There are currently 1 site to another with the seller using a Juniper SSG, which works without incident in my system.  I'm transitioning to routers Cisco 2811 and put in place a new tunnel with the seller for the 2800 uses a different public ip address in my address range.  So my network has 2 tunnels with the provider that uses a Cisco VPN concentrator.  The hosts behind the tunnel use 20x.x.x.x public IP addresses.

  My Cisco router will create a tunnel, but I can't not to hosts on the network of the provider through the Cisco 2811, but I can't get through the tunnel of Juniper.  The seller sees my packages and provider host meets them and sends them to the tunnel.  They never reach the external interface on my Cisco router.

  I'm from the external interface so that my endpoint and the peers are the same IP address.  (note, I tried to do a static NAT and have an address of tunnel and my different host to the same result.)  Cisco has confirmed that I do have 2 addresses different and this configuration was a success with the creation of another successful tunnels toa different network.)

  I tested this configuration on a network of transit area before moving the router to the production network and my Cisco 2811 has managed to create the tunnel and ping the inside host.  Once we moved the router at camp, we can no longer ping on the host behind the seller tunnel.   The seller assured me that the tunnel setting is exactly the same, and he sees his host to send traffic to the tunnel.  The seller seems well versed with the VPN concentrator and manages connections for many customers successfully.

  The seller has a second VPN concentrator on a separate network and I can connect to this VPN concentrator with success of the Cisco 2811 who is having problems with the hub, which has also a tunnel with Gin.

  Here is what we have done so far:

  (1) confirm the config with the help of Cisco 2811.  The tunnel is up.  SH cyrpto ipa wristwatch tunnel upward.
  (2) turn on Nat - T side of the tunnel VPN landscapers
  (3) confirm that the traffic flows properly a tunnel on another network (which would indicate that the Cisco config is ok)
  (4) successfully, tunnel and reach a different configuration hosting
  (5) to confirm all the settings of tunnel with the seller
  (6) the seller confirmed that his side host has no way and that it points to the default gateway
  (7) to rebuild the tunnel from scratch
  8) confirm with our ISP that no way divert traffic elsewhere.  My gateway lSP sees my directly connected external address.
  (9) confirm that the ACL matches with the seller
  (10) I can't get the Juniper because he is in production and in constant use

  Is there a known issue with the help of a VPN concentrator to connect to 2 tunnels on the same 28 network range?

  Options or ideas are welcome.  I had countless sessions with Cisco webex, but do not have access to the hub of the seller.  I can forward suggestions.

  I need the numbers to be central at the time, if that makes sense? The only way I could do it so far is to write in excel, Center it and then paste it to the Commission in the PS, but due to the size, I work at, I have to resize each month individually, which means they could end up being slightly different and I need them to be perfect. Is it possible that I can do this in PS, I know, I work with the exact sizes on each month?

  It's probably something really simple that I'm missing, but I just can't cope.

  I use CS6 and the font is Century Gothic, if that's any help.
