  Have you tried clicking on the icon in the Mac App Store to see what is happening? In the past, the Mac App Store will say that version will not run on your operating system & offer to download the latest compatible version. I don't think this has changed, but I don't have a Mac in El Capitan to try.

  Basically you would build the string representing the path that you want to create, for example if you had c:\testfile and wanted to create c:\testfile\abc\newfolder
  It would be new File ("file:///C:/testfile/abc/newfolder");

  What app you have installed? Was it an extension? If you try to turn it off, your problem goes away?

  It is a nonsense. Lightroom has no trouble to perform all actions on ares photos stored on external hard drives.

  I do not like to plead ignorance but don't know how to do this.
