Value set with the table type

Hi all
I use R12.1.3 EBS. I want to create a value set with the posting type "Table". But I must specify what application will be set and the table to use. I want to refer to an another diet/no apps. Is this possible? I have the link of database between this regime to receivables / via SQL Developer, I'm able to query or manipulate the data.

Thanks in advance,

Create a custom view in the schema of APPS that points to the table in the remote database, and you should be able to create a validated set of values from table based on the custom view. This will require you to create a link of database on the remote database (or a private database link in the APPS schema)

    Using forms 6i how a list item field type DATE data which may contain names of days?

    Set your date as a hidden field (not shown) column. Create your item list with the names of day of varchar2. Create the list item as a base table field that accepts the values of text in the names of the days. On this area, create a when-validate-item trigger that translated the text into an actual date that it then uses to set the value of the real object of the base table.

  • When I print a table (multiple pages) the text box under the table seems to be moving under the table and prints with the table of this overlap. My only solution is to push the text box further down the page before printing... Any advice?

    Im having problems shaped a text box so that my table does not print right on top of it. I want it inside of my table (it's 'tems and conditions' budget)

    Any advice would be great.

    I face the same problem as well. Would like to know if there is a better way to get the text box to move with the table instead of the effect that overlap. Have to manually adjust the layout, whenever I want to get a reasonable print of a document (or export it to PDF) seems counterintuitive, especially when it causes the document seem ill-disposed on screen.

    I am running version 3.6.2 of the numbers in the case where that matters.

  • CVI suggested help update on 'programming with the Table controls.

    Hello

    May I suggest adding a sentence to the chapter 'Programming with the Table controls', 'Creation and deletion of cells' section help of CVI.

    After the sentence "use the following functions to control the number of rows in a table control...". "I would like to add a suspicion that the number of lines is also affected by (programmatically) adjustment of the height of the table.

    Now that I've discovered, it's obvious ;-)

    Hi Wolfgang,.

    I think you might be misunderstanding this sentence in aid. It does not refer to the size of the table, in regard to the number of lines go in the table. It is in fact the number of real lines exist in the table. And the total number of rows in the table is absolutely not affected by the height of the table.

  • How to retrieve the XML values in a plsql table type

    Hello

    I have an XML doc as below which is a Web Service response message.

    < / GetOrgInput >
    < / SOAP - ENV:Body >
    < / SOAP - ENV:Envelope >

    The doc above, you could see that I have several occurrences of the element "Ent". I usually use the .extract and. getSTringVal() to retrieve the values as below.

    l_string_variable: = p_response.doc.extract ('/ /'| p_name |) ' /Child::Text()',p_namespace).getStringVal();

    But in this case if I do that, I get value as 92311631103. I need to get them in a table of the number type. Pls advice me on how to do this.

    Thank you

    I'm guessing it's a bug fixed when Oracle 10.2 is released. I can reproduce your lack of results on 10.1.0.4 and as shown in my post above, it works correctly on 10.2.0.4.

    Here is a modification of the script that shows what is happening that I have that debugging. (It took me a bit to realize the difference that it wasn't what I was expecting)

    declare
       p_response_doc XMLTYPE;
       l_new_doc      XMLTYPE;
    begin
       p_response_doc := XMLTYPE('

    1163
    1103

    ');
       SELECT p_response_doc.extract('/*/*/*/CompliantOrgs','xmlns="http://www.example.org/ComplianceServices"')
         INTO l_new_doc
          FROM dual;
       dbms_output.put_line(l_new_doc.getStringVal());
       dbms_output.put_line('before loop');
       FOR r_rec IN (SELECT value(t) val
    --   FOR r_rec IN (SELECT extractvalue(value(t)
    --      , '/CompliantOrgs'
    --      , 'xmlns="http://www.example.org/ComplianceServices"' ) val
          -- BULK COLLECT INTO l_nm_array
          FROM TABLE(
            XMLSequence(
              p_response_doc.extract('/*/*/*/CompliantOrgs','xmlns="http://www.example.org/ComplianceServices"')
              )
            ) t
       ) LOOP
          dbms_output.put_line(r_rec.val.getStringVal());
    --      dbms_output.put_line(r_rec.val);
       END LOOP;
       dbms_output.put_line('After output');
    end;

    10.2.0.4 on this product

    1163
    1103

    before loop
    1163
    1103
    After output

    It produces on 10.1.0.4

    1163
    1103

    before loop
    1163

    1103

    After output

    As you can see, Oracle is to detach (well technically not add) the space of default names to the nodes retrieved. To compensate, you need to change your loop to look like

       FOR r_rec IN (SELECT extractvalue(value(t)
          , '/CompliantOrgs') val
    --      , 'xmlns="http://www.example.org/ComplianceServices"' ) val
          -- BULK COLLECT INTO l_nm_array
          FROM TABLE(
            XMLSequence(
              p_response_doc.extract('//CompliantOrgs','xmlns="http://www.example.org/ComplianceServices"')
              )
            ) t
       ) LOOP

    so extractValue does not expect the namespaces associated with the nodes.

    I would suggest you document it so that you know why things break if you upgrade to 10.2 or later at some point in the future.

  • How to create a grid with the tables and Boolean values?

    As part of a larger project, I'm trying to create a Subvi, which will allow me to spend a "cursor" in a 3 x 3 matrix.

    It should be 2 Boolean inputs, one for move them down in the table and the other to move them to the right. Once reached the edge of the table, the "cursor" will start back at the beginning.

    I have a vague idea of a table to 2 dimensions with LED. Once 'down' has been selected, the corresponding light to (0,0), light (0.1). Goes the same for the button 'right '. When 'down' is pressed (0.2), the LED should turn off, and LED (0,0) must light up.

    I'm sure it has something to do with the initialization of the tables, but I can't seem to find the right way to do it.

    Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

    Your array is always empty.  Look at the detailed help for the function page replace table subset.  He says that the function has no effect if the specified index refers to a location outside the table.

    What you see on the Panel is only a view and has nothing to do with what is in the table.

    The ABC schema owner has table T2001_WRITEOFF. The SYSDBAs given SIUD Some_Update_Role and granted this role to developer user IJK. IJK user then created a private synonym T2001_WRITEOFF for ABC. T2001_WRITEOFF. It worked with the usual SQL DML commands.

    When I try to create a simple procedure, it throws PLS-00201 identifier "T2001_WRITEOFF" must be declared and the points of the 2nd line.

    create or replace procedure woof1(
      fooname
    in T2001_WRITEOFF.territory%TYPE,  <=== error points here
      bardesc
    IN T2001_WRITEOFF.ind_batch_submit%TYPE) IS
    BEGIN

    INSERT into T2001_WRITEOFF

    VALUES ( fooname, bardesc);
    END woof1;
    /

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    JimR

  • DatabaseProcedure with the return type preceded of the schema name

    Salvation (Paco)

    I have a question on the DatabaseProcedure class. We use proxy Oracle users to our database connections.
    Everything is accessible via a role of database that are granted to the user. All of our database objects, tables, etc. are protected by this database role.
    When I want to call a function/procedure of database, I need to add the name of the schema as a prefix to the custom database object that uses us for parameters and return types.

    So far so good. I can also define a parameter prefixed by the name of schema via the DatabaseProcedure.registerArrayType...
    But when I try to set a function call that uses this parameter I get an error saying "the statement is not valid.
    The problem is the regular pattern of PROCEDURE_DEFINITION:
    private static final Pattern PROCEDURE_DEFINITION = Pattern.compile("\\s* (FUNCTION|PROCEDURE) \\s+ ([\\w.$]+) \\s* (?:\\((.*?)\\))? \\s* (?:RETURN\\s+(\\w+))? \\s* ;? \\s*", CASE_INSENSITIVE | COMMENTS | DOTALL);
    The return type cannot be prefixed by the name of schema.

    Any good suggestions or workarounds?

    I have actually change the duration of reflection model to make it work-, but I really don't like this solution over the long term.

    Hi Torben,

    I think that I have a work around for the problem which might work for you. If you look at the source of DatabaseProcedure.registerArrayType you will find that it is actually called DatabaseProcedure.registerCustomParamType.

    public static void registerArrayType(String name)
    {
      registerCustomParamType(name, Types.ARRAY, Array.getORADataFactory(), name);
    }

    A solution you can replace calls to DatabaseProcedure.registerArrayType with calls to DatabaseProcedure.registerCustomParamType as follows.

    // Instead of DatabaseProcedure.registerArrayType("NAME.WITH.DOTS") call:
    DatabaseProcedure.registerCustomParamType("anyNameWithoutDots", Types.ARRAY, Array.getORADataFactory(), "NAME.WITH.DOTS"); // Don't forget to use uppercase here.

    DatabaseProcedure dp = DatabaseProcedure.define("procedure my.procedure(param1 in out anyNameWithoutDots)");

    DatabaseProcedure.ParamType type = dp.getParamDef(0).getType();
    System.out.println(type.getName() + " is " + type.getTypeName()); // ANYNAMEWITHOUTDOTS is NAME.WITH.DOTS

    In this way, that you don't have to use the 'illegal' name in the definition of DatabaseProcedure.

    Kind regards

  • Test a SP with the object type

    Hi, I have a MS in which I created an object of TYPE and through multiple values as param.

    TYPE typ_clint_id_rec AS OBJECT
    ( CLIENT_ID VARCHAR2(20);

    TYPE typ_clinet_id_tab AS TABLE OF  typ_clint_id_rec;
    SP signature
    PROCEDURE test( in_username IN char
                              in_client_name IN   typ_clinet_id_tab,
                              in_out_cur IN OUT out_cursor)
    ;
    Now, I'm testing the PC like this:
    declare

    ref_cursor sys_refcursor;
    in_client_name typ_clinet_id_tab := typ_clinet_id_tab ();
    begin

    in_client_name := typ_clinet_id_tab ('AAA','BBB');
    test(in_username=> 'test' , in_client_name=>in_client_name ,in_out_cur => ref_cursor);
    end;
    But it gives wrong number or types of arguments in the call to typ_clinet_id_tab?

    Can someone tell me what is wrong with that?

    Aashish

    Each attribute of your object to table table must consist of the typ_clint_id_rec object.

    So the data must be wrapped as follows;

    typ_clinet_id_tab (typ_clint_id_rec'AAA'),typ_clint_id_rec('BBB'));
