  Okay, so I what I * think * is an Equium U-400 - it definitely says Equium on top, so I can be pretty certain about it. I turned it upside down (not while it was turned on, you will be pleased to know) and unfortunately the useful the label on the bottom with all the information used, probably because of three years to sit with her on my lap. But I think I remember seeing the little U-400 about it at some point. I bought it in June 2006, if this is any use (probably not).

I moved to the United States permanently in two weeks, so it is more logical for me to buy an adapter US so I won't have one of these things to plug converter use all the time. I had a noodle on the Toshiba site autour us and it seems they do not even have the Equium series out there, and obviously all AC adapters on the European site are oriented towards UK and IT usage.

  Can anyone help? Anyone know what adapter, if any, could be compatible? I would be very very grateful.

  Thanks for all the info.  Here's what I found out from Verizon.  To unlock the phone, you must call the global group of Services (888-844-0395) and tell them you want to unlock your phone.  To unlock it, you must have a SIM card.  Interestingly, they'll send me a free, after that I was told that it will cost $30 in my local store.  When you call, they will give you an unlock code.  Here's how to use it:

  1 turn off all wireless connections (manage connections - disable all connections)
  2. go to Options
  3. Select Advanced Options
  4. Select SIM card
  5. tap on menu select show keybord
  6. Enter mepd (you will not be able to see the typed info)
  7. type mep2
  8. now it will say enter network mep code
  9. Enter the code given to you by Verizon

  10. turn off the power and remove the battery to reset

  11 re - enable wireless connections

  I should have my SIM on Thursday and I will he give a try.
