Weird flashing Action with SWF file

Hi guys.

I would like to know why the menu nav, I just do it in the catalyst makes a weird flashing action when I hover over the buttons, because it does not occur when you hover over the Start button on the monitor I did a few weeks - http://www.dylricho.com/

Here is the link - http://backup.site40.net/Nav%20Menu/Menu.swf

Thank you

Dylan

Hi Dylan,.

There is a good chance that this is due to differences between your button above States.  Remember, the 'mouse sensitive' area is determined by the graphics are actually visible.  You could get a flicker if a work of art that is visible in the up State is hidden in the over State:

  1. Imagine a rectangle "dyed background" is visible in the high State.  Mousing over this rectangle of course puts you in the over State.
  2. Now imagine this background rectangle is not visible in the over State and neither are all the other charts to this position.  So, as soon as you arrive at the over State, you are in fact no longer at the top of the button.
  3. Since you are not on the button, return you to a high State.  But now you 're (on the button given that the rectangle has reappeared), so you go back to the over... State but now you're not on the button, then... etc.

(You may have noticed this same problem on some HTML sites where the links change font style and then resizing, in response to the overthrow).

If you can just twist your work to solve this problem, there is a sneaky workaround solution: draw a large rectangle (or other shape) over your all button to define the area that is sensitive to the mouse.  Now to set the opacity of the rectangle to zero – but leave the eyeball on in the layers panel.  Because the rectangle is always technically visible (eyeball is on), it will always be 'catch' mouse on behalf of key events.  (Just be sure that you share the rectangle in all the States of the button and do the same size across all States).

  • SWF file will not play

    Hi all!

I need help. I created several SWFs for the new my business site and 3 of 4 play without any problems at all. One is a bit more complicated (for my minimal knowledge of Flash) and will not run and I just can't understand it. Help, please! The test page I place is http://wwwstaging.proclivitysystems.com/overview.html and you will see that nothing loads here. Other (assessment, how it works and console) pages with swf files load very well.

Help, please! I need to get the site launched today

Thank you very much in advance!

  • DWMX2004 - I can't seem to recognize a SWF file

I try Flash CS3 with my trusty ol ' Dreamweaver MX2004 on Mac OS 10.4.9. I had another DW site active for four years; This is the first time I tried Flash.

The swf file plays as expected (I posted it for the reference to www.somethinghappeninghere.com/happeningintro.swf), but I can't get to DW to recognize in my index.html (www.somethinghappeninghere.com). I tried to insert my .swf in accordance with the instructions in ch. 17 book H.O.T. CS3 Todd Perkins, in aid of Dreamweaver Insert > Flash menu command. I found another tutorial who spoke of 'skins' (huh?) in DW CS3, but I can't find used them to my MX2004.

I also have the file "happeningintro.html" corresponding to when I published the swf - but I can't find anything that refers to the instructions, it.

Please send suggestions and details to [email protected]. I am entirely willing to give me a dope slap when Iearn whatever detail I have neglected. Thank you.

Alan, thank you for the offering.

To clarify: that another copy is originally so that I could at least watch to a friend a little (I don't have yet to the lesson on creating a projector). In DW, it was inserted correctly.

Second, however, a return and more attentive to my client FTP showed an even more awkward explanation: I don't download the *' swf file. Four years with Dreamweaver and again this is just my stupid carelessness. Oh!

During this time, however, thank you for taking the time to offer assistance. Sorry for the trouble. Very much appreciated.

  • white box flashes before the SWF load

I am embedding my swf using SWFobject file but I get a white box, flashing until the swf file is loaded. I tried all the suggestions, but I still have the problem.

The Flash file and the browser background color is the same. Any new idea on how to solve this problem.  I'm a casual AS3 programmer, I'm just learning to be able to do my own Web site.

You can take a look at a problem in www.carlosNmolina.com

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Yes, the famous "white lightning" is caused by SWFObject, but is more or less a bug; Just to set the bgcolor parameter, otherwise it's default white:

    var params = {bgcolor: '#000000'};
    swfobject.embedSWF ("my.swf", "flash", "100%", "100%", "10.0.0", false, {}, params");

    Easily attaches.

(Here it is SWFObject 2.2. It's the 8th budget in the declaration of swfobject, and of course, the color is the color of your choice.)

    Update:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/designing-MULTIDEVICE-MULTIRESOLUTION.html

They will start you on the pursuit of a fluid mobile interface. The general idea is that mentioned kglad, you have code depending on your application to intelligently move things on your environment.

You never want to code "for a specific device. Rather just learn the rules to be really smooth and independent of resolution. This may mean parts of your interface are shown or hidden based on circumstances. It is not easy.

Android is very fragmented experience. The different resolutions, IPR, and capacity means there is no miracle cure for you to develop something once and deploy everywhere without calculating anything. The market is developing so great for Android it's too big to ignore (meaning US, Android is already widely dominant on iOS where unit prices are not subsidized by carriers, which is mainly outside the United States). Learn to think on some construction projects with fluidity is an evil necessary.

For that you must have a web server if you are using Windows you can have IIS or you can choose a free like Apache

You start the Web server and place the swf file in the wwwroot directory, then you will be able to access using

  • Problem with FLVPlayer in Flash CS3 (you need to register on Actionscript 3.0 SWf file)

I use Flash CS3 and I'm trying to publish a SWF file that makes use of the "FLVPlayback" component I need this SWF file that will be published in an Actionscript 3.0 file, I then put my publication of Flash Player 9.0 and Actionscript 3.0 settings, but get an error as follows:

    "WARNING: the"FLVPlayback"component requires ActionScript 2.0."

If someone has encountered this? I'm doing something wrong? I'm quite comfortable in Actionscript/Flash 2.0, but I'm only my first not in the relam CS3 and AS3.

Gotcha. You have started the document in AS2, and then changed the
publication settings. Each language version has its own version of the
(Written in the language concerned) FLVPlayback component. Start over and
compare two compleley new FLA documents: make one for AS3 and AS2.
Open the components Panel and note the differences between the two. He
are a different set of components according to the language chosen for the
document. Drag the FLVPlayback components Panel in a
AS3 document and you have the AS3 version.

  • The problem "your current security settings do not allow this action" when I want to open the swf file in Windows Media Player.

How to solve the problem when I want to open the swf file in windows media player? There, half year, when I click on a swf file, it could automatically play in Windows Media Player.

Now when I want to open a SWF with Windows Media Player, it pops up a window "your current security settings do not allow this action".

How to use watch the video in Windows Media Player swf?

    Hello

SWF is a file format for multimedia, vector graphics and Action Script in the Adobe Flash environment. Origin with future Wave Software, then transferred to Macromedia and then coming under the control of Adobe, SWF files can contain animations or applets of varying degrees of interactivity and function.

SWF functions as the dominant vector "animation" on the Web for graphics display format. It can also be used for programs, games by browser commonly, using ActionScript.

    Method 1:

I suggest open he file in Internet Explorer and check to see if you encounter the same problem.

    Method 2:

    Step 1:

You can also try reinstalling Flash Player on the system to fix the problem.

To uninstall a program in Windows 7 refer to the link below

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Step 2:

Once you uninstall Flash Player reinstall rear and check to see if you encounter the same issue.
To download the latest version of Flash player refer to the link below

    http://get.Adobe.com/flashplayer/

Once you download Flash Player see the link below to install a program downloaded in Windows 7.

  • Flash increases the size of the Captivate SWF file

I have a Captivate project that I export to Flash. Flash increases the final size of the SWF file with no items or perform any other edition. For example, the Captivate published SWF is 617KO and the Flash SWF published 1 599 Ko without adding anything. In addition, the JPG settings are of the same quality in both programs.

I have to make some changes to the code AS that is beyond the capabilities of advanced Actions of Captivate.

Any ideas that I could do to stop the inflation of file size?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Tom

Having Flash generates a report of size when you publish the swf file so that you might be able to see whence the weight.

You should post in the forum of Captivate in the case where there are people have similar experiences that can help shed some light on this.

  • SWF files that can evolve with the browser

I downloaded a file with dreamweaver as a stand-alone window swf and it works fine.  How can I get the SWF to a scale large or small that the user must adapt to their browser window, large and small?  I would get the swf file as well as the browser window.  I posted this in dreamweaver, but I was told that it is a problem of action script.

I found a simple solution, and I think that's what you're looking for.

    1. in Flash, go to file > publishing settings

    2. click on the HTML tab

    3. where is says Dimensions, select percentage

    4. Although it is probably by default, make sure that the width and height are both set to 100.

    5. click OK, then go to file > publish

Now your film must evolve with the browser window.

If you do not have Flash, you can simple work with this sample code below:

    align = "middle" allowScriptAccess = "sameDomain" allowFullScreen = "false" type = "application/x-shockwave-flash".
    pluginspage ="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" / > "

Notice how the width and height are set to "100%"? That's all you need.
