• Can not 'Manage' my temporary sites, push live

  I have three temporary sites, developed by Muse, I now need to push live, and uses 3 of 5 accommodations of free site that accompanies my creative cloud membership.  When I go to the main portal of creative cloud, I see these three sites in the right column, under temporary Sites. But when I click on 'Manage', nothing happens. I can click on 'View' and see, welcomed with BC.

  (I also have another site hosted with BC, but this one is a customer-paid site. Although this Web site is fine and running and working, when I click on the button 'manage' under 'Other Sites paid' in this Panel, which also opens nothing.)

  I think that's where I'm going to push the live sites. When I try to do it via the Muse, choose me a plan, compensation, etc.?

  Also, I'm in the middle of transferring the URL of my property and the very last step where I put in the authorization of Contact Admin and choose name servers. Can I use the nameservers for my field company (bluehost) or BC nameservers being used? I can't use BC nameservers until I do it live, right?  Which comes first? It's all a bit scary and new for me.  I am a complete newbie to BC/CC.

  Try to use this direct link to the Administator login page: http://www.businesscatalyst.com/admin/Index.aspx. Just enter your login information from creative cloud. Unfortunately, I don't have an immediate solution for the 'Manage' link apparently broken. You can try using a different browser, or if you continue to have problems with the link manage, you can contact customer service: http://helpx.adobe.com/contact/creative-cloud.html

  There is a named tab killer extension that allows you to do this. The official source has not been updated for a while, so I posted a updated version. The background is in this thread: How can I completely disable tabs?

  You can copy / paste in the Bookmark Manager (Shift + Ctrl + B) to create a copy of a bookmark.

  You can also drag favicon of website on the left end of the address bar to a folder in Favorites menu drop down list, or in a folder of bookmarks on the bookmarks toolbar or side bar (Ctrl + B).

  In the sidebar, you must click to the left of the icon to prevent opening the Firefox bookmark.

  Title sums it up! Start page basically sits there and need to open a second tab to see the 'Top Sites' buttons for quick access. Seems to be an unnecessary step without reason.

  It can be difficult to determine the cause of this kind of question. It might be something seemingly insignificant. There are so many potential variables, including 3rd party software.  I stopped using Diladele Web security, precisely because he blocked too much legitimate web content (in all browsers).

  Ironically 3rd party browsers may have less problems display web content than precisely because they are inherently less secure. I see that in my Firefox, I've added a number of script and modules of blocking pop up. Now, the net effect of this is that my Firefox blocks a lot more web content than my IE does. However, the major difference between the two is that security in Firefox modules tend to reveal the individual elements their block (or allow)... sometimes dozens of them on a single page and allow me better control.

  Example - FF with NoScript on Lowes.ca website: everything in blue is blocked, but I can allow/block them individually as required.

  When you create the layout of the site using Adobe Muse, you actually create a file of Muse that you may have saved locally in your computer. To perform updates on the hosted site on BusinessCatalyst, you can open the same file of muse, apply your changes and download their business using catalyst publish button.

  However, if by chance you missed to save the Muse in the case, or it has been lost or deleted, I fear that this is not not possible to make updates via Adobe Muse then. You must design the same layout in Muse again or you can update the site using IBE or through HTML Code.

  For 2 days I get the message "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server...". "This happens with any web site, and it's frustrating.

  Internet Explorer works on this computer, but I do not like.

  One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

  Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  You shouldn't have to do something with Flash Player - both programs are not bound together like that.  Flash Player needs to be very well.

  Try to use the McAffee removal tool: http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?id=TS100507 through this link. It is not uncommon that products McAffee do not uninstall correctly or completely, and this tool is often the case.

  If this does not work and it is always on your system, download and install Revo Uninstaller: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html. Use the Advanced mode if Mcafee Site Advisor is on the list and who should do the trick.

  It's the web standards. A backslash is considered a valid character (fumble that 5% c) in a name and is not the same as the slash delimiter. Windows is the only platform that uses a backslash. Linux and Mac (both based on Unix/Linux) use a slash for the names of path on the hard drive.
