XPS15 L502x no stereo mix record or soundmapper

Hi people, I have a brand-new XPS15 with config max... installed my Windows 7 ultimate, installed all the drivers of the resources DVD and now I have a problem that I can not record sound from internal devices. Record from microphone works fine, but the "stereo mix" is silent.

I checked with my desktop PC also with the Realtek HD audio chip on board, and all parameters were similar. It seems that I have missed... the problem is not on the basis of the software, also the Windows audio recorder does not record the sound played.

What should I do to get the sound from my internal sources? So far, I know that it is most likely a software problem.

OK, I found the solution, seems to be symptomatic for Realtek HD Audio

1.) right mouse click on the speaker through the screen symbol, then chose 'sounds '.

(2.) it is the 'stereo mix' missing

3.) right click in the empty box

4.) enable "see the disabled devices.

5.) appears the 'stereo mix', a brand says 'off '.

6.) law of the mouse klick 'enable '.

7.) REBOOT! IMPORTANT! WITHOUT NOT RESTART NO GOOD!

Stereo mix 8.) is now active recording device.

Most of the people think it's plug & play, but in this case, it's magic of Realtec that works this way. But it's easy compared to get the Latitude and other models with their its STM Micro card (requires the pirate ini file)

I have tried downloading drivers latest Tosh site for Realtek sound card, but it has not made a difference.

    Hello

First of all, Toshiba has designed different models Satellite A100. You should put a portable name exactly.
Second, what do you do exactly?
Called the stereo mix is unfortunately not a very expressive information.

As far as I know on some units of the A100, the sound effect Manager realtek HD is installed.
Here you can choose different settings and audio control inputs and outputs.
Toshiba virtual sound is also pre-installed on the A100. Here, you can set the parameters for a surround sound.
By the way; all applications that you can find in the control panel.

  • Re: Why my Satellite P300 "stereo mix" in "recording devices"?

I want to record the internal sounds on my new Satellite P300, but there is no "stereo mix" in "recording devices". I chose "show disabled devices" and "show disconnected" features (see screenshot below), but still nothing. Is there a driver missing from my laptop or it simply not support internal record. I do not have other internal sound recording methods, but for convenience, it would be nice to do it without having to connect loads of extra material.

  • Record stereo mix Inspiron 7559

I've had my Dell Inspiron 7559 since the eve of Christmas 2015 and I touch screen 4K i7 6700HQ 16 GB of Ram GTX 960 M 4 GB VRAM, 128 GB SSD, 1 TB HARD drive and I want to start with the minor problem on some pixels are blurred and the wrong color, I painted a single line shape free white paint on a black background and inspect the pixels close I saw that some pixels are turning green despite being supposed to appear white.

And sometimes automatically screen adapts its lighting according to the color of the pixel range takes more space, for example to resize a window of (dark) steam will affect on the general atmosphere of the screen by slightly changing the color of the other windows, particularly visible with white windows.

My main complaint is the following: I had a lot of trouble with the audio.

I read that there are static pop noises there on many models, I have that too, then I noticed that I couldn't record while headphones/earphones were plugged into the output in January 2016 Jack with stereo mix, I have not tested if I still have the question now, because another problem came made me avoid a recording on your laptop

When recording with stereo mix, even with improvements by maxx audio dell disabled, only the low frequencies are registered, either with Windows recorder or audacity store and I compared the spectra of the record that I did with stereo mix of the laptop 7559 and registration for the 7559 spectrum showed me only the low frequencies being recorded and my other pc , and he could be heard that only low frequencies had been recording, he gave the audio effect deaf when I read the record.

I tried to uninstall the drivers, I do not remember how, but I managed to get it back for some time and I could save with good results until the problem is back for a reason which I am not aware of.

The speakers saturate when there is low frequencies even at low-medium volume, and sometimes bass you hear about with some more complex pieces of audio.

Video with audio recording with Nvidia shadowplay somehow works perfectly fine, despite the static noise pop and the poor quality of stereo mix audio recording

I'm frustrated by the poor quality of the audio related applications, I had related graphics problems causing bsod drivers nvidia in late December and I had someone at Dell guide me through the possible solutions and I was very pleased by the quality of their support to this question, but now I'm afraid that my sound related questions cannot be resolved due to bad quality with drivers control software or devices.

Again, I had indeed managed to restore the good quality recording with stereo mix but somehow after a while and after turning back on the pc as usual he re presented the problem and my recordings would only produce low frequencies.

I'm waiting for answers, and I hope that I am provided with effective solutions, but above all a quality support.

(I also consider ever buy a Dell laptop again)

the guarantee remains valid until December 17th 2016

I think that the best you can hope for is that we will try to help as best we can.

I read that there are static pop noises there on many models.

Solutions that offered owners are summarized in the FAQ Audio Choppy/jump. There are about 10 of them in the section Inspiron 7559. One owner had replaced "components."

I tried to uninstall the drivers, I do not remember how, but I managed to get it back for some time and I could save with good results until the problem is back for a reason which I am not aware of.

I could try all the different audio drivers for the i7559 and see if one of them fixes the problem. If we correct it, but the problem returns, one reason for this is that Windows 10 frequently "updates" of the system. [Don't think you mentioned is what operating system on laptop computer].

Before you try the drivers, get rid of all the files of the Realtek driver on the hard drive.

    1. open Device Manager (found in the Control Panel, or type devmgmt.msc in the search box).
    2. expand the section 'Sound, video & game controllers.
    3. right click on "Realtek High Definition" Audio.
    4. click on "Uninstall".
    5. put a check mark in the option to remove the software driver, click ok.
    6. restart the laptop. Because you deleted the Realtek driver files, Windows will install its native audio driver, named "High definition Audio Device".
7 go back to Device Manager and look for "high definition Audio Device". If you see "Realtek High Definition Audio" once again, this means that there is another version of the Realtek driver on your hard drive and Windows found and installed it. So keep uninstall & reboot until Realtek is no longer appears under his... Controllers and "High definition Audio Device" appears in its place.

At this stage, go to the drivers Inspiron 7559 html page and download a driver for your operating system. Realtek audio drivers are available for the following 64-bit operating systems: Win 7, Win 8.1 (WB64A) and Win10 (WT64A). Start with the oldest one for your operating system, the test, then get the next more old ones. If you switch from the former to the most recent you shouldn't have to remove the files from the driver between the facilities.

If none is satisfactory, you can also try one directly from the Realtek site.

    1. go to the Realtek download selection page. http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/
    2. on the page, click on 'High Definition Audio Codecs.
    3. check "I accept", then "next".
    4. (optional) in the column named "Description" find the file named README and download it. Who has the instructions for the installation or update.
    5. in the column named "Description" select your operating system and if it is 32-bit or 64-bit of 2 choices in the list.
    6. in the column named "Download", click one of the server names to download the driver.

    Snipeinscientist
(I also consider ever buy a Dell laptop again)

It's just. I would say that, regardless of the brand or model of computer, test carefully while remaining within the return period and return if unsatisfactory.

Here's an entry forum from a guy who said it fixed "Missing Stereo Mix" on a Sony machine by editing the registry. It has IDT audio drivers

IDT has of a registration for "Rec.Playback" option, which is the same as the stereo mix, so no need of a tool for editing on these models.

Yours is the first post I've seen that reported no stereo on a Realtek driver mix when turned off and disconnected show are checked.

In regard to older drivers you don't have much to choose from on the Dell site. I worry not so much about to try. If you don't like them just re - install the current. (Before installing an old one first remove the current in the control panel > view by category > uninstall a program.)

    6.0.1.6194, A01

    6.0.1.6240, A02

About the rumor about Dell, I would say that it is more likely a decision made by Realtek if even the direct driver from his site doesn't have stereo mix.

  • How to use stereo mix to record a Skype Conversation?

My friends and I talk on Skype, and he came to the point where I would use a program to save some of these calls, so that we can all come back on them and entertained. The problem is that I can't find a device that you allows me to record what I say in my microphone and sounds that should play. Some research says that the option to use to enable this is stereo Mix. I found, allowed him and turned into the default recording device. However, I'm not about to use it, because it does not seem to pick up sounds no matter what I do.

Can someone help me find a way to make stereo mix function in the way that I need too?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

In this regard, I suggest you use any third party/tools available for this purpose. There is plenty of software available for these purposes.

I suggest you to use your favorite search engine to find a relevant program.

Important: using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

    All the best!

  • No stereo mix with Satellite T110

I bought a Satellite T110 (Win7). There is no option of stereo mix with the recording devices. I scored see the disabled and disconnected devices. I've updated the driver conexant (4.98.16.61). Nothing helps. Still no stereo mix option. I tried to connect a male-male cable from the headphones to the line - gave very poor quality.

    Hello

As I know the audio chip Conexant does not provide this feature.
As far as I know that Stereo Mix is supported by the Realtek chip but the audio chip Conexant lack this feature.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite Pro U400-130 - Conexant and 'Stereo Mix' in question

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro U400-130 (downgraded from Vista to XP) with the Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 "audio card" installed.

Although this seems to support HD audio, I can't find any option to use or activate the "Stereo Mix" option in the Windows console. I tried a few settings to registry and some different drivers, but so far, the option remained absent.

I know this forum and other comments on the net that Conexant audio cards do not support the stereo mix, but I was wondering if someone could confirm that this is certainly the case for SmartAudio 221?

Similarly, anyone know of another method to record the sound 'as heard' on the computer? So Far, the options appear to be a) buy an external sound card, or b) connect the plug headphone mini-jack on the mic with a cable jack.

After using a p3500 old Portege of 8 quite happy with this function (actually pretty basic), it is very disappointing to find that this card cannot support it.

    See you soon,.
    Select this option.

    > I can't find any option to use or activate the "Stereo Mix" option in the Windows mixer
    > I know this forum and other reviews on the net that the Conexant sound cards may not support stereo > Mix, but I was wondering if anyone could confirm this is certainly the case for SmartAudio 221?

I can confirm this because I have a laptop (NOT from Toshiba one) that was equipped with the Conexant audio chip and the other laptop (Toshiba Satellite a series has) that supports the Realtek audio chip.

The machine with Realtek audio chip contains stereo mix and the other non-Toshiba unit that supports the audio chip Conexant does not support the stereo mix

As far as I know the update of the driver won't help you because it looks like a hardware limitation of chip Conexant!

However, thanks for the info about the Virtual Audio Cable tool.
I think I'll try it next time

  • Satellite Pro P300 has NO stereo Mix in Vista with Realtek sound card

    Hello.

I have a P300 with Realtek internal sound card and drivers updated.
I NEED a stereo mixer in the recording devices, but I currently get only a MIC input, even after checking "Show offline and disabled devices."

Yes, I updated the drivers HD Audio of this site Web and Realtek and still nothing.
The only other thing that could affect this, but I don't see how I use ASIO4ALL drivers audio in conjunction with the Realtek drivers.

I'm running Vista 32 bit Edition Home Premium

    Hi mate

I confused m do you know why?
Because you talk about audio driver Realtek and sound chip and my knowledge, that the Satellite Pro P300 was equipped with the audio chip Conexant!

It s NOT the Realtek chip! It s Conexant!

According my Conexant audio chip experience can't stand stereo mixer in the recording devices!

When I bought the phone I got an option for us 'stereo mix' what radio recording using Audacity. When I upgraded to Windows 10 option was always there. A week ago, Microsoft upgraded Windows 10 (without asking me first!) since when the stereo mix option disappeared. I tried the system restore, but dates do not go far enough. I was nervous, but it worked! I am happy!

  • Satellite P500: Audio "what you hear" or "Stereo Mix available?

I am a member of a seniors computer club and they lent me the Toshiba P500 model PSPG8A computer so I can set up events for some meetings, this computer running Windows 7.

One of the characteristics of the P500, I am to research is Audio "what you hear" or "Stereo Mix" as I will need to capture from the speakers.

All I can find for recording is the built-in microphone, no line or other controls, I've never seen so little on a computer before.
This computer has "what you hear" or "Stereo Mix", if so how do you access them?
The audio cards are only Microphone and headphones.

If the computer does not have these characteristics, if someone could suggest what external alternatives I have to allow this computer to record directly to the speakers.

    Hello

I put t know what P500-xxx you have exactly, but P500-10J, which belongs to the series of PSPG8E does not support the Line In, or out of line
The laptop seems to support HDMI out jack and head phone microphone port.

I downloaded the manual for this series of laptop and other audio jacks are not mentioned
It seems therefore that the function that you requested is not available :(
