  Once again, when this has completed, restart the laptop.

  5. start in Safe Mode and run the application. Still errors.

  The fact that all of the applications above raise the same error message someone gives a clue as to what needs to be done to solve this problem? I am stuck and don't know what else to try.

  Recently, I did a fresh install of Win XP 32 bit to Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  The first time I tried to install it, I had everything set up how I wanted it, restarted and received the ntldr error after the post screen.  Still other clean installed on HDD #2 (a PITA to get the key code to activate a second time, had to call microsoft). Now, I get this "glitch".
  So far, the programs that I hit are Firefox and Spybot.  I uninstalled and reinstalled it, no help.
  Core i7 920, gigabyte ga-ex58-ud3r-mobo, nvidia 9800gt.
