  I use the Hyperion Version 9.3.1. I installed Essbase, Planning and Shared Services. At the time of configuration, created a Data Source for the planning application. I can able to create the planning using AppWizard.jsp application. Again, I need to create another application, it says no data Source is configured. Is it need to create the source of individual data for each application of planning through the configuration utility. It's another way to create the data source rather than navigate to the configuration utility. Please notify.

  I helped you other questions the other day on the forum of essbase, but does not mark the questions useful or correct so I don't know if you want to help.
  You will need a schema/database separate for each planning application, you will need to use the configuration utility to create each data source that it updates all the information in the system planning tables.
  Yes, it is possible to update the tables yourself but much cleaner just to use the configuration utility.

• Financial reporting for Hyperion Planning Application error

  I get this error when you try to run a HFR report in the workspace, which connects to a planning application:

  My question is: where I put the last time period in the planning application?
  
  I googled like crazy, but I can't seem to find anything like that, but the period start and end parameters. When I go in the settings of SDRS to the planning application, there is no option to set the 'last period of time."

  Seems that you won't put perspective preview so you can not choose a period, in the workspace, go to file > Preferences > Financial Reporting, set an excerpt to it.

  the copy option is hidden out for the purposes of planning, but very well with other applications.

  It is 11.1.2.3, does not see this previous version.

  I have a planning Application of EPM (on version 11.1.1.2) on a development server.
  I have the same migrate to the production server.
  
  I have following way:
  
  Planning the Migration of the Application:
  1. take an export ads EPM Planning application dev server
  2. create an empty EMP planning application in prod Server
  3. load ads in vacuum application to the prod Server
  
  Please comment if I'm wrong or I have another way...
  
  Also, I have no idea how can I migrate the planning Web Forms, Web analysis and reports of EN Dev of Prod...
  
  Please help me with this...

• EPM 11.1.2.1 - error of creation of the Planning application system

  I'm having a strange problem when creating a planning application.
  
  In the workspace, I created a new source of data and after a planning application. After I pressed the finish, I received the following message:
  
  There is no such thing as X the admin user for this application
  
  Congratulations!
  You have created a new planning application.
  
  The application is created in Essbase. Admin has security defined in the application is created automatically.
  
  The application does not appear in any application group to Shared Services.
  
  I can't remove the application in the workspace. It says Application cannot be deleted, check the logs for more details.
  
  I'll post the logs later today, probably see them that someone can point me in a good sense.

  and look at the 'Filter to limit the users' property, you can include a filter that exclude certain AD user as admin.

  I already create an empty application in planning using epma. I have load the essbase application in the console of shared services and I can see the essbase application in epma. My problem is how can I use the essbase application to load dimension in planning?

  Hi Hanson,

  One Option would be to be extracted the essbase outline in the text (preferably in Parent child format) through outline Extractor (available on internet) format and then use this file extracts to create the dimension of epma and then load in the planning application.

  We are migrating Production applications to dev. We have a planning EPMA and Essbase application in both environments.
  We migrated artifacts in the file system in PROD (Shared services, EPMA, planning, Essbase) and Reporting. We have copied and pasted into the folder what in DEV.
  Then, we try to migrate objects in DEV file system applications. First of all we did successfully EPMA artifacts in the migration status report, and then we deployed the application in the planning without any error. (msg showing as synchronized deployment). After that we had shared services, it is not

  I recently installed all EMP 11.1.1.2 components into a single system on windows XP system.
  Installation and Configuration succeeded. But when I login in the workspace I do not get an option to create a new planning application.
  IAM opening a session with the default admin user name and password.
  
  Any suggestion on this subject?

  Try going to http://servername:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp

  Also, make sure that you put in service the admin with the user with HSS from the creator of the Application and the Dimension Editor roles.

• Use of the provision of a user as a user of view wrt a planning application

  Hi all
  
  I use EMP 11.1.1.1.0 and you have created a planning application. I'm trying to set up users and groups now. I gave a user the proviison of 'User Mode' under my planning coz application, the user is supposed to be a leader who would just be able to see the data forms and not do much thing on the app.
  
  But I am not able to connect to the planning application with just the provision of 'User Mode' and I get the following error:
  
  "Cannot synchronize with the Provisioning of users. Check the logs for more details".
  
  Can some body plesae help me with this?
