11.4 ITunes on my MacBook 10.6.8 won't talk to my running 9.3.3 Ipad2

I have a MacBook 7.1 running the version OS x 10.6.8 with Itunes 11.4. When I connect my IPad 2 model No. MC707X/A running 9.3.3 onmy Itunes Mac comes up with the message (the Ipad cannot be used because it requires a newer version of Itunes, go to Itunes down load the latest version) the two devices are updated to the latest versions. I think maybe it's because my my Macbook can't be upgraded more than 11.4 Itunes that can't talk to 9.3.3 on my Ipad, only guess. Any ideas on how I can connect.

Another issue is that I forgot my restriction password so I'll try to make a backup so I can reset the password but I do not want to load the same password when I download a reset to the default values for Ipad.

12.4 is the last.

You must update your Mac OS, if possible, and then to update iTunes.

I have a song that shows as being in my library on my MacBook, but it is not. Some time ago I downloaded and then deleted. It disappeared from all my other devices but still present in iTunes on my MacBook. When I try to delete nothing happens, when I try to play nothing happens. When I opened the box of info song that States that it is always stored in iCloud, but it does not appear on any of my other peripheral iCloud library or is available from me to re-download cloud icon there.

I tried to restart my MacBook & iTunes and also tried to turn my library iCloud off & back on, even running that a repair on my drive does not resolve the issue.

Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hi rangers29,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. Based on what you said, it seems that there is a song that is just listed in iTunes and does not react to reading or deleting.

One thing that can cause this is wrong with the iTunes library file. We can try to restore the file and see if the library updates and removes the song in the list because it is not downloaded.

I cancelled iTunes on a Macbook Air, issued by the school.  All my music is stored/saved on my iMac at home.  If I delete the playlists and songs of the Macbook it will affect my master library?

Unless you're 'home sharing', which he does not seem like you are, two libraries (macbook and iMac) are distinct, so a change does not affect the other.  Best way to test would be to remove a few songs you can download easily and see if it changes.  But I don't think it will be a problem.

iOS9 on a mobile device requires iTunes 12.3 or higher, which in turn requires a computer running OSX 10.8.5 or higher.  Update of the system only checks the updates for the current version of the system you run, but that itself can be updated.  It may or may not be possible to upgrade your computer to the system requirements:

You can either buy a download for Apple OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion code online, or you can try to install the free El Capitan OSX 10.11.  El Capitan can run slower on older machines and require the additional purchase of RAM.  Making a big jump in versions of system is also more likely to affect the old software.

  • Uninstall iTunes from my macbook 2015 pro forever

I would like to uninstall iTunes on my macbook pro 2015 and there is not installed for the rest of my life or that of my computer, apply.  However, given that iTunes is a apparently a virus, it continues to display upward no matter what I do.  Suggestions?  I would have preferred the comments involving the removal of this software from my computer, rather than the kind telling me what a fool I am not love iTunes.  Thanks in advance.

iTunes is now considered to be part of the operating system of the computer and in this respect is considered (by Apple) key to the operation of the computer as the code to draw the image on your monitor.  This is just to tell you that it's not like 10 years ago, when iTunes was an optional installation.  It's kind like ask Ford to you make a car without a radio.  I am not questioning your reason for wanting to remove it, but if you let us know what you hope to achieve this doing, we may be able to make suggestions. You won't save a lot of disk space.  If it exasperates you by the presence of a music file opens automatically with iTunes when you click on it there are easy ways to prevent this.

I use the Mavericks. I have not deleted iTunes, but I prefer iTunes 7.5. I copied the app from my old computer to this one and compressed the 11.4 that the installer had put on this computer. So far no problem.  Realize, however, the software updates seem to come in large packages these days, so even if you delete iTunes it can reappear as part of an update software General do you in the future.  I disabled automatic software updates and try to analyze the content of each of them before as I do, but it is becoming harder and harder to find those who are the true component system updates and those who are what I consider more general software such as iTunes or Safari.  In this regard, you can not reach your desire for ever unless you remove once and never in your life update your software.

    Hello

I hope the music in your iTunes library and is not in the cloud, you should be able to sync with the iPod nano, which remains compatible with iTunes iOS.

    Hello.

I have recently (April 2016) bought an iPhone SE. At the time, I used iCloud to back up what I had on my iPhone 4S for I can have my music, etc., photos on my new SE. However, since my 4S lacked storage space, a lot of my music was not stored on it, so he has not also transferred to my new SE.

Now I have plugged my SE (iOS 9.3.3) in my MacBook (OS X 10.7.5) and iTunes (v 12.2.2.25) does not recognize my iPhone. I can't add another my music from my iPhone iTunes SE and it is super hang me!

When I plug my phone into my MacBook and open iTunes (I already said "Approve this computer" on the phone), I get this message: "the iPhone"iPhone"cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes. " Goaaaaal... you don't go to itunes.com and download to iPhone... So I'm stuck with a tiny part of my music on my iPhone and no way I can find to get more to transfer.

    Help, please! Thank you!

    Lucy

The message refers to requiring a version update of iTunes on your computer, not on the phone - you need to an updated version of Mac OS X on your Mac (10.8.5 +) and iTunes installed 12.4 above, to be able to sync it to your phone.
