2 k 3 to 2 k 8 VM VM
Were asked to convert a VM of Windows 2003 (with DNS/DHCP/WINS domain controller) to Windows 2008 VM. I guess I can't just v2v this I'll probably create a new virtual machine with Windows 2008 and then migrate to DHCP/DNS and WINS. But, I was wondering if there was a "best" way to do?

Uh, you're more thinking about it. Put a CD of Windows 2008 in virtual Windows 2003 machine, a Windows upgrade. I missed something? You do not need to convert v2v, just do an inplace upgrade. First snapshot to make you feel better, but it's the best way.
