3 sheets of column space hybrid on top in Firefox, but not IE

Hi-
Everything started working in Dreamweaver CS3 (have used previous versions). Starting a new site and the 3 column hybrid design, it comes with, it's exactly what I want (well, close enough in any case). Unlike other new provisions, it leaves a space of all 10pixels at the top of the page with the page background color when seen in Firefox. Works fine in IE 7. Does anyone else have this problem? I have not yet started to put content in yet, so no links to show.
Thank you
SL

Yes. What you see is.

I'm glad sidebar1″

Note that the content of the page is a

tag, which has a
inherent upper margin. IE it collapses. FF and all the other browsers are not.

If you add this rule to the page-

#sidebar1 > h3, #sidebar2 > h3, #mainContent > h1 {margin-top: 0 ;}}

He should take care of things.

Thøis said to do the first h3 and the first h1 in the divs have a top
margin of zero.

The attached page is explicit. This is installation 2-Chronicles regular: content principal, right sidebar, header and footer. Right sidebar is floating div element. The answer is in your code. You have:

This condition adds a top if you're in a browser IE filling in the sidebar. This may have been a hack for correct rendering of earlier versions.

Get out the conditional style (or modify) to see if it's what causes gout 30 px.

  • Problem with 1 pixel lifting an image at the top in IE but not in FF.

If you go to my site here:

    http://metalwolf92.zymichost.com/

Then look at the image of the businessman on the homepage it. View it in Firefox and notice that it is perfectly aligned with the bottom footer bar. Now display the same image in Internet Explorer, and then note that the image has been raised only 1 pixel drop the footer bar.

If you try to Zoom In (text only) in FireFox or Google Chrome, etc, the image detaches from the footer bar. Is it possible to fix this, so it is always locked at the foot of page even when you zoom in on the text, etc?

In addition, this problem will not occur in Google Chrome. It only occurs in Internet Explorer.

How can I solve this problem in Internet Explorer so it seems in the same way in FF?

    1. I would like to delete the empty tablecell above the copyright notice (see below). What is he doing when you have nothing in it?

    2. to make your image of the man stay down you need to apply it as a background image to thecell.

Give thean 'id' as below: (alignBottom)

Then use some css to apply the image as a background:

    {#alignBottom}

    background-image: url {images/professionalimage1.png};

    background-position: left, down.

    background-repeat: no-repeat;

  • How can I reduce the space between the headlines in Firefox by DW?

    Hi all

I have a Web site up and ongoing delivery, I can send the URL to anyone who believes he or she will be able to help me.

Look great in Internet Explorer Web pages.  However, in Firefox, there are a lot of gaps unslight between the main title, subtitle, etc.  And I tried to know why it is like that, in scrutinizing the coding part of DW, but I can't see the code that influence it.  Does anyone have an idea?

I have to add that I use a template for all these Web pages, and I put in place boxes within this model.  I feel that the way I implemented the editable regions may be part of the problem, so I'll go and test this idea.

In the meantime, if anyone of you have experienced this problem in Firefox (but not employment insurance) and have suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

    Alexy

    Hello Sandra,.

Thanks for providing the link. Actually, I was right the first time. Your problem is actually compatibilties browser. Firefox has another way to interpret the paragraph-

    ...

Tags. By default, it adds some more space.

I insert a screenshot here when I edited your page in Dreamweaver:

    Directions for use:

    1. Highlight the Group of text that has a problem - "you need... products? * ».
    2. Go to the Inspector of tags (lower part) grid where you can see blurry tags like, ,... and "BOLD" tags .
    3. Click right on the tag, then choose to remove the tag. In other words, that it is a paragraph tag using the class 'blurb '.
    4. After that, you will see that the formatting for the text highlighted group has been deleted.
    5. While the texts are always highlighted, go to the menu Insert > layout objects > Div tag
    6. In the class of input text box, type the word text of presentation and click OK.
    7. Save the page and preview it in Firefox again.

Feel free to reply to this post for updates.

Thank you and have a nice day.

    Hi all:

I'm trying my first hybrid liquid layout help "column 2 hybrid columns, header and footer to the left" of DW. layout and it's fine, but... I can't get rid of the black line just below the top box that contains two charts of the samle. In my view, there can be a lag between the div "topcontainer" and "container" div below. • The firefox button used to be on the left, with tabs lined up next to her to reach the top of the screen. The firefox button is now on its own, with tabs on the line below. It wastes a lot of space at the top of my screen, I can put it back how it was?

Previously, the firefox button was upstairs on the left and tabs lined up beside him, so that reached the top of the tabs just to the top of the screen. Close/minimize etc. were at the top right.

Two days ago it so that the firefox button is at the top left, close/minimize etc. are always in the top left, but now the tabs are on a line located underneath, leaving a space at the top where I can see through to the desktop. There is also a wider border than before, around the window of Firefox all, more space wasted.

I have windows 7 on top of my desk quick links bar, now that firefox has left a void that is located above the tabs, it means that it is easier to accidentally hovering over the bar when changing tabs, it's awkward because it brings forward and disrupts the ability to quickly change tabs.

You see the difference between a magnified window and a window "restored down." Click on the middle button in the upper right of the Firefox window, so that when you place the pointer over the button, it says 'Restore down' and a show of boxes double overlap.

  • Why don't I have a space between the top of the footer and my work?

Why don't I have a space between the top of the footer and my work?

Thank you for wanting to help, but I thought about it. The space was due to the fact that the top of the footer does not begin until the end of the height of the page pointed to technical. I thought that the foot has been included in the height of the page.

  • remove white space at the top of page

    Hi people

Just created a test in the Muse of the site for a client and noticed that a bunch of white space has appeared at the top of each page when it is tested on an iPad and iphone6 - but not on the desktop? Check the solutions, the foot takes off as suggested, no difference. Removed the filling of the page on the top on the site and on every page - no difference. Downloaded again the site to the server after which the home page now isn't the white band, but the other pages (Offshore and onshore Rigs - BOP and well - Cyber Rig - HSE control) do? The only change I made to the homepage before downloading has been to place the video widget full width, which appears twice on the page of images of posters and other video files?

The site is www.rig-inspection-adc.com - suggestions gratefully received...

    Greetings - Peter

    Peter,

Nice problem. It took some time locate the problem, but I found it. Here's the problem:

There is a small overflow "A key station" located on the rectangles and this is causing the problem.

    Steps to fix:

To get at the top of the page "key position" rectangles visible for editing, I stretched first image upward. Then, I brought the rectangle to the right size.

We now have the indicator "key position" visible and ready to be changed.

I've then re-released the site. Here are the before and after screenshots of my mobile.

Let me know if you have any problems.

    See you soon,.

Hi guys, I wonder if maybe someone can see what I did wrong please...  I use Dreamwweaver CC and worked on a few test pages to create a new site, and in some way, I changed without knowing something in the css which means there are now a few inches of white space at the top of the site, above my logo - while the original model fits comfortably up to near the top of the page.    (Problem page - http://www.baseballhypnosis.com/running/mental-training-articles/index.php / Original model - http://www.baseballhypnosis.com/new/running/index.php ).    Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you, Craig T

  • How to avoid white space at the top left?

I'm creating an application 1024 x 768, I want to show (the content) to x = 0, y = 0, but I'm getting little space above and left to the place where the content is presented.

I tried horizontalAlign = "left" verticalAlign = "top" on the < mx:application tag, but I always get like 20 pixels or if white space left and top.

Someone knows how to fix this?

    Thank you

    V_K_K,

I solved the problem. I have the application than the vertical. I changed it to absolute and now it works fine.

  • V13 Firefox is not consistent with the WC3 CSS columns

I use to be able to see multiple columns in v12 but is no longer in v13. Chrome and Opera display several columns but not FF v13.

Hello, the Date of issue for firefox 13 only could say that the support for the fill column property has been added - you give a link to a page where the problems occur?

Edit: apparently there is a problem with the height of a block of several column property. that will be solved by a release of the correction of a bug in firefox 13, which will be deployed in the coming days.

I can't 'click' on the top inch of any screen in the case of firefox. It won't let me sign in and out of some Web pages. If I reduce the screen that disappears not or the other. This happens not when I'm on my desk or using IE. I like firefox, but it's frustrating! Help!

Try Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open the Firefox 4, 5, 6, 7 SafeMode pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

Do not choose anything at the moment, just use 'continue in safe mode.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

If it's good in Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

    Hello

First of all, you should test the portable DVB - T with Toshiba s card preinstalled Vista.
Everything has been set up and should work fine

I think that it s not Analog/DVB-T Hybrid card problem.

Maybe the DVB - T signal is too weak and therefore you do not find the TV channels using this card.

In my country and the region, the DVB - T signal is really weak and I need a DVB - T antenna to receive the signal and the channels!
