32-bit Java

I am running ubuntu on an AMD 64 bit system. I installed firefox as part of the distribution. I need to run a 32-bit java application with the 32-bit jre plugin. When I install the 32-bit jre by http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/manual-plugin-install-linux-136395.html plugin, the java plugin is not found (I don't see listed in the modules and http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp Manager cannot be verified) but when I install the 64-bit jre plugin is located and working properly. Is there a way to install the 32-bit jre given my current setup of the sysem plugin?

Thank you

Thanks for the reply, it seems that the solution is to use update-alternatives.

  • How you specify eclipse to use 32-bit java

    Hi all

I am fairly new to the development of java application development and I can't pretend to be an expert on java, but I'd really like to start on this. I searched the forums but I can't seem to find a definitive solution to my problem.

I understand that blackberry currently supports only 32-bit java and eclipse 32 bits. I'm running a 64-bit Windows 7 machine and I am trying to get this set-up.

I know that the easiest way is to install these two on my machine, but as much as I always would also have java 64 bit on my machine. I currently have the 32-bit JDK and 64-bit JDK in different directories in my machine.

Is it possible for me to specify what java to use when I develop my apps in Eclipse?

Or I'll just get out of the track and there is actually a much simpler solution for this?

IV tried to use a real operating system 32-bit, but it really worked for me because the default virtual gfx drivers cannot support simulators.

    Please advise!

    See you soon,.

    Ian

You must specify the virtual machine in the eclipse.ini.

Take a look at my one. I have the joint as a .txt (forum dislike the .ini files)

  • Last Dev Firefox 64 bit @ Win8 doesn't detect 64-bit Java 8u51

Java 8u45 worked OK in Firefox 64 bit Dev.
This week, I uninstalled Java 8u45 and installed new Java 8u51 in "C:\Java".
Now the plugin is not listed in the Plugins to the subject: addons.

for the moment, it's a list hardcoded into firefox so I don't think possible to circumvent it. There may be a form any whitelist controlled by the user at a later stage, but the strategy that has been proposed for win64 around plugins is a "clean slate": https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/win64/meetingarchive#Clean_Slate_Approach

  • Can you tell me if I have a 64-bit Java update operating system do I download

Please can someone advise me on how Java Update, I download a Windows 7 64-bit operating system. My Firefox tells me that I need urgently update my Java but when I click on update all that is that there is a page of confusing information about 32-bit and 64-bit systems thanks to. He asks what version I'm using 64-bit or 32-bit Firefox. I didn't know that there were two, I thought speaking of 64-bit and 32-bit, this meant the operating system of my computer. Can anyone clear this up for me. Thank you.

Hello, you must install the version of the java plugin which corresponds to your Web browser. Firefox is available only in 32-bit version for now (it will run on windows 7 64 bit in any case) - so for java to work in firefox, you will also need to install the 32-bit plugin: http://java.com/download/windows_xpi.jsp

  • 1.7.0_21 Java WebStart 64-bit does not take applications based on 32-bit Java 1.5.0_22.

We distribute a java application that has been developed based on Java 32 bit with Java WebStart technology 1.5.0_22.

In difference to this very old version of Java, our customers have installed a newer JRE as 32-bit 1.7.0_21. As long as everything is 32-bit, each application could be launched via WebStart. WebStart itself starts (32-bit) 1.7.0_21-based and does the jar with the server synchronization. After making sure that client honeypots are up-to-date, it starts a new process based on the JRE 1.5.0_22 desired and launches the application.

Unfortunately more and more of our customers receive their updates of Java for the 64-bit platform many customers switch to 64-bit operating systems.

If we install a 64-bit version of Java 1.7.0_21 we are not able to launch one of our applications 32-bit 1.5.0_22 more. It seems that WebStart 64-bit is not able to pass respectively to start a 32-bit application to Java 1.5.

In this case, none of our applications will start. Instead of the request, we receive the following StackTrace:

Resolution: We were still not able to solve this problem! The only way out of this is to install the JRE1.5 as the x 64 version. In this case, any passage of the 64 bit to 32 bit is necessary and everything is on the right track again.

But it's still strange and inexplicable :-(

  • Can (you must) use Java 64 bit with Firefox 32 bit?

I have Firefox 32 bit & 32-bit Java and Flash Player 32-bit, but there are 64-bit versions. I'm under win 8.1 with all the latest updates installed (except internet exlorer for which I ignore updates).

You need Plugins 32-bit with 32-bit Firefox just as you need the 64-bit with 64-bit Firefox Plugins.

There is no Firefox Win64 for release yet however the Win64 on beta channel is finally being supported from Firefox 38.0 b # so does that mean 38.0 Firefox can be probably earlier for a Win64 version.

Nope - you need the 32-bit Java to go with the 32-bit Firefox, if you want that Java run

  • Java for Windows 7 (64-bit)

How can I download (64-bit) Java for my Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)?

    Thank you.

No, the 256 Bit is not architecture, it's just the encryption used by the browser to keep your transactions on the web private and safe. So when you buy a property for a Web site, it cannot be compromised. I know it can be confusing.

I recommend using the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer 9 since most Add ons works with this version. To make sure you are using the 32-bit version, follow these steps:

Click Start > all programs > click Internet Explorer (one who is not listed as 64-bit)

    Hi Suresh,

In fact, the first client does not generate wrf files. Customer of the tile, client0, generates the wrf files. The first customer runs the harness and brings together the results of each client in the results file.

The program which ensures the pings is located on client0, and he struggles to leave because of the bad number of bit Java on client0. This program writes to standby0.wrf. Your VMS Eve is probably fine.

  • I'm trying to update Java 8U45 in Firefox 39.0 for windows 8.1. The udpdate did not finish. I get an error 1603. What should I do?

I have Firefox 39.0. The next generation Java plug-in 11.45.2 for Mozilla browsers shows that it is vulnerable. When I try to update my plugin on Firefox for the Java 8 51 version update, it downloads and try to install it, but will not complete the installation. I get the error message 1603. I try to use the online version of 32-bit.

Try to uninstall Java and download and install Java 8u51 full offline Setup.

You can find the last 32 bit Java versions on the Oracle's Web site.

See the Platform Java > Java SE 8u51 (download of JRE; 32-bit for Windows)

  • Failed to install Java plugin after a clean install of Java7 or java8

    Hello
recently, I saw my plugin Java was vulnerable and outdated so I uninstalled the old completely and downloaded the latest 8u45 of Java.
Now, after the installation, I don't see any mention to the new Java plugin on the plugins screen in Firefox. In java Control Panel the ability to "enable Java content on my browser" was already checked, but still Java not enabled on my browser anything.
I even tried to install the package SDK or earlier version like Java 7u80 the two gave the same result.

Here's my proposal: you have installed the 64-bit Java, but not 32-bit. Since Firefox is a 32-bit application, to get the dll works with all applications, you also need to install JRE 32 bit. See:

I downloaded the update of Java 6 37, but Firefox does recognize it not as a plug-in and so not even give me the option to activate it. There is no work around for this?

Firefox is a 32-bit application, so make sure that you have installed the 32-bit Java program and that Firefox can find its plugins.
