4 GB memory for vCenter

Hello

I have a 2 cluster hosts with a vCenter Aplliance. By default, it take 8 GB memory for the device. I have 16 + 8 GB in total, then could I set it up with 4 GB of memory?

Could I have any problem?

Thank you and best regards.

Depending on the size of your environment, you could get serious problems because the minimum supported memory size is 8 GB, see: vCenter Server Appliance hardware required

And another possible problem, is that if you get the problem, VMware can refuse your vCenter management if they do not meet the minimum hardware requirements,

  • How to change the memory allocated for VCenter server, which is a virtual machine

I'm trying reclassification of 3.5 to Vsphere 4.1 and I improved VCenter first, making it a virtual machine.  However, when I created the server I did not allocate enough memory for it and I'm getting errors.  How can I allocate more memory for the virtual machine while it is stopped?  I can not allocate more memory, except if it is closed, but with it being the VCenter server if I stopped him so that I can access with the Vi client.  Is there a service console command?  I searched for a few hours and found nothing.

    Thank you!!

I found the suggestion to check the ESX memory for problems.

I found the information that ESX 3.0 was ramcheck service which could check the memory, but there is no such service in future versions of ESX.

Could someone help me find how to check the memory without stopping the ESX Server (I could not migrate virtual machines per host)?

The only way you will get a true test of the memory of the HOST must stop it and run the test directly. Any tool running in the ESX console will only have indirect access RAM. The vmkernel controls access to physical RAM.

  • Adjustable memory for NB550D resources

So after upgrading the memory in my NB550D to a module of 4 GB (3 GB usable) steals the netbook, but I noticed the HD 6250 graphics uses 1 GB of memory for himself, obviously such a graphic of a budget entry has not even need half of this sum, especially that the screen is only 1024 x 600 , so if an admin is to check this, I wondered if in a future BIOS, an option could be added to adjust the amount of GPU memory?

I'd rather have the GPU using approximately 256MB and rest in the direction of memory system, it does not require as much memory.

    Hey,.

Who knows if Toshiba released a BIOS where you can adjust the graphics memory but such a function isn't known to me and I doubt it will happen.
The memory of the graphics card will always be controlled automatically and there is no value that you can change.

I mean that even 3 GB of RAM is really enough for performance netbook and I doubt you need more RAM and even some programs need more RAM you can use the virtual memory on the HARD drive.

  • Question about the upgrade memory for my Satellite M40-307

Sorry for the newbie question. But if I have 512 MB of memory for the time being, what are my upgrade options?

Do I have to buy pairs of memory? So I can or buy 2 x 1 GB = 2 GB, or 2 x 512 MB = 1 GB + 512 existing. Or can I say just buy a single 512 MB or 1 GB chip?

Since no one wants to answer:
    1. check if your laptop supports Dual Channel Ram (it should be, but just see the manual to be sure)
    2. knowledge of what type of RAM you have. This will add or remove a possibility of upgrade

The thing with Dual Channel is, that you have the best performance if you use 2 RAM of the same type (really of the same type: company, size...)
    you could:
    3. Add a 512 MB of RAM of the same type you have
3 b. buy 2 pieces of new RAM of the same type (1 GB + 1 GB, or 2 + 2 GB) and do not forget that your laptop supports this quantity (once again: manual to check)

You will also find in the manual, if your computer supports DDR or same DDR2 RAM (faster)

If you have lost your manual, you can download it here on the toshiba Web page

    I hope I could help a little.

    Hi Ben

Maybe you used the memory modules bad.
As far as I know that you can upgrade memory for max 192 MB
The 64 MB has been installed in an internal memory and cannot be deleted.

    I found these compatible modules:
    PA3003U - 1 M 03 32 MB
    PS3004U - 1 M 06 64 MB
    PS3005U - 1 M 12 128 MB

  • Pavilion p6608f: upgrade memory for p6608f

Hello, my Pavilion p6608f came with 4 GB of RAM. I want to upgrade. By HP features, the motherboard is a MSI ms-7613 and it should support up to 16 GB of RAM (4 x 4 GB DIMMS). I bought 4 DIMM which seem to fit specifications, but the computer wouldn't POST after installation. I tried reseating the DIMMs, but no luck. My hypothesis is that the memory is not compatible.  I'm unable to find good information on the compatible memory for this computer on the site of Kingston, MSI site, or the site of HP. (Any ideas on one) why the memory I bought is not compatible and b) how to find compatible memory?

    Thank you.

  • Source for 2 GB memory for NB100-12 has

Can someone tell me where I can get the upgrade of memory for my NB100-12 2GM has? How much does it cost? To install it, I have to remove renovate 1 GM and replace it with the new memory or what is the procedure?

First, a question - you run the pre-installed Windows XP version? If so, I'm not sure that it will support 2 GB of RAM - no one knows with certainty? + Official + the NB100 only supports the 1 GB, so I would check before you spend the money...

Assuming your OS + fact + allow 2GB, I suggest that you try Crucial - good memory, quality service and a fair price. If you go to the following link, you can enter the details of your netbook, and it will provide a link to the correct memory:

    [Crucial memory | http://www.crucial.com/uk/netbook/index.aspx]

Looks like it's about £20 now - prices have risen lately :( You could get a memory that of + a bit cheaper, but then you'd have the hassle of work exactly what to get.

In terms of editing, you need to remove the cover on the bottom of the NB100 (it is set by a single screw). Remove the existing RAM and mount the new stick. Replace the cover and restart - job done :)

  • Which module memory for Satellite Pro M70?

Hello! First post here, happy to join :)

    So, here is my question:
I have a laptop M70 and want to upgrade the memory from 512 MB to 1 GB. I checked Toshiba online store and found that in fact 2 memory of 512 MB with the same characteristics (512 MB PC2-4300 DDR2 533 MHz) are supposed to do the job...
The only difference is that the PA3412U - 1 M 51 is mentioned as "dual channel" and the PA3412U - 2M 51 is "RoHS compl.

So, what is the good? Another problem is that I can not really get any of these two because the first one is "sold out" and the second is 'exhausted '! Laughing out loud

But finding the correct for my system is a good first step, in my opinion. Thanks in advance! ;)

  • Upgrade memory for Portege M400

I recently tried to upgrade my laptop Portege M400 the original 512 MB of ram to 2 GB (which seems to be possible according to the user manual.

I tried to install the memory standard DDR2-533 (I install 2 x 1 GB). However, when I tried to reboot the computer with the new memory of the hard drive does not recognize the new memory and I had to involve someone with more expertise than me IT. After that I tried to replace the original memory in the computer the hard drive also failed to recognize that and laptop computer were to restore to factory settings before windows would load again.

Can anyone tell me what type of memory should I install? Y at - it Toshiba specific memory that must be installed in the system? And finally, can I just pick this of any toshiba dealer?

    Thank you

  • Tecra A8 - 103 - how to increase memory for video card?

    Hello

does anyone know how to increase the memory for the video card on my Tecra A8-103?

I've heard that I can 'take' of RAM memory and 'Add' to video memory card, but don't know how? I just live in the BIOS, but have not seen this feature?

I need, because, when I work in Visual Studio .NET and pass code for fashion design, an image disspears and I have to wait 15 to 30 seconds until :(((back what the image

Therefore, I do not think that increasing memory video card will solve this problem?

Thank you x 10 in advance

You cannot pass the VRAM chips, they are soldered to the circuit board.

On some machines, you can dynamically increase the VRAM by installing more RAM System. Enjoy reading your user manual.
