  I dropped a file .nef on a USB key and if I double-click on the application file Photo opens almost immediately and after a delay the display of the photo. In the office library, view of the key file is assigned the Photo icon.

  Photoshop requires at least version 8.4 of camera raw to be able to directly open these Nikon NEF D4S files which is available in Photoshop CS6 and above versions (not in CS5)

  Reference article: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

  You can upgrade to a higher version of Photoshop or download Adobe DNG converter to convert raw files to DNG and access these DNG files in Photoshop CS5.

  Niels, this is actually a good thing that Adobe provides updates after the liberation, or you would never have had support D90 with Photoshop CS3.  But you are right, if automatic software functions do not work well, you have to work through manual installations and then things can get a little geek.  But you're a PC/Windows user - you have to be hard!

  To use the help - about plug-ins feature, in Photoshop click on the help menu, then the any plug-in entry, then hover over and click on Camera Raw...

I have even converted the CR2 files to DNG with the adobe DNG Converter, synced my file and it acknowledges at the start files, but when you select Import, it gives the same extensible error-

  I also deleted the file .plist permission with the same result.

  I'm on MacOS 10.7.5 (my 32-bit system will work later) and the use of LR 5.7, later this operating system is running.

  I don't understand what has changed suddenly causing this problem, it worked fine last week.

  As I said in the other thread, changing permissions did not work because (a mistake very frequent), you have changed the permissions on the wrong file. Show us screenshots of the section permissions on this specific folder and Destination of the import dialog box.

  There is no update 4 LR for this device.

  You must either buy LR 6/LR CC... or... use the free Adobe DNG Converter version 9.0 or later to convert your RAW to DNG and then import the DNG in LR 4.

  Nikon D3s is supported in this version of Lightroom.

  You should be able to directly import the. Image of nave to Lightroom.

  If you get an error message, post here with the screenshot of Lightroom Import window.

  Yes, your NEF files are supported in the latest version of PSE14 and will be also supported in PSE15 expected in early October.

  Hi soewandichan,

  Please make sure that Lightroom is far, i.e. Lightroom 5.7.1.

  Also, please copy the images from the card, and then paste them into a folder on the desktop and then try and import them into Lightroom.
