• Acrobat Standard DC - can't change the text and text box properties

  Earlier this week, I lost the ability to change the properties of the text and text boxes.

  When I add a comment with a text box or in the text caption, I do all the time, I used to be able to change the font color, size, alignment, etc.

  Now, when I go to insert a text box or the legend, all the options in the properties bar are grayed out.

  This issue effects ONLY the text in the box and the caption functions. all the other drawing functions work very well. I can change the color, fill and the type of lines around the text, I can just change the text.

  Any suggestions?

  Try trashing preferences. See replace your preferences

  I have 11 Acrobat and my co-workers with 9 and 10 can correctly convert Word documents with images and text boxes, but v.11 cut the text and is not convert the images correctly.

  You may need to check with other files in Word also to analyze whether the problem is with word or Acrobat.

  Open a word document, add images, then try to convert it to PDF using the Adobe PDF printer as PDFMaker option well.

  Let me know what happens.

  In addition, to make Adobe PDF as default printer and check.

  You could even go in PDFMaker preferences and uncheck the option "enable accessibility and reflow with tagged Adobe PDF" on the tab "settings".

  Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:

  1. a System Restore to before the updates:

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next

  If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.

  If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:

  Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.

• How do you define the default font size and color for the text caption and text boxes?

  When I click CTR + e to open the text properties box when you are working with markup tools, the default font size is 9.

  I understand how to change the font size for the individual text boxes but the size is up to 9 whenever I create a new box.

  Is there a way to set a default font for brand boxes place size? I spent hours searching and have not found one.

  This problem appeared only with the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC (15.017.20050).

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hello, all of a sudden my text boxes and objects placed in inddcc can not be moved with my arrow selection tool - as they are locked (they are not). I can't find a release or a preference to adjust. I have to move items a tick at a time with my arrow on my keyboard. Help!

  In InDesign CS4, I start a text box and enter text.  When I hit the key "enter" to start a new row, InDesign automatically creates a thread of text into another text box.  I don't want it and the program never used to behave this way.

  Looks like you might be using the button ENTER on the numeric keypad, which is a column break (and if you have only one column per page or frame it passes then then one).

  If you do not use the numeric keypad, chances are you are on a computer windows laptop and you have a bios that maps the two enter keys together, and the behavior will change depending on the State of the NumLock key. If this is the case, let know us and we can tell you how to make custom keyboard shortcuts to work around the problem.

  I would like to know if there is a way to click a checkbox created (says 'X') and have it show the word "FAILURE" in another text box.  I have only about 10-12 boxes that I want to have this done which is indicated by an exclamation point to the right of the check box.  Verification of the other boxes would not fail in the text box.

  I'm trying to set up my master page with a few text boxes, but I try to get so that the text boxes I put in place in the master page, I can use and edit text in my Document.   There is nothing wrong with putting a text on a master page object. To edit a template on a page, command + shift + click on item.

  Try this. Hope it will work fine. You must give the property of field var of your text box of entry as "years". Give the name of the button as "my_btn.
