  I followed above link to see how to make my Xbox 360 arcade able to play xbox games. I did what he said, but it does not work.

  I have downloaed the file called 2007.zip-$SystemUpdate_12. I renamed the file default.zip. But what comes after is different from that indicated in the above Web page. I opened the file and got $SystemUpdate (folder). I then double clicked on $SystemUpdate and got su20076000_00000000 (file). I've renamed su20076000_00000000 default.xex. I saved default.xex on a cd using Windows Explorer. I took my cd for my xbox 360 arcade. I turned on my xbox 360 arcade and put the cd in the it. I came up with an error that there was nothiung on the cd. I checked with my laptop and the file is there.

  Why it did not work? Did I miss a step? Is that what your statement wrong? I did something wrong? Also the file (default.xex) is about 7 068 KB not 5 MB.

  Christian Hey, I had the same problem with my Xbox game apps on my Microsoft surface. However, I discovered a solution. now, it looks like a stupid reason but believe me. I had to change my time zone and it fixed it. as I could not connect to Spartan assault but I changed my time zone of the Pacific to my actual time zone and it fixed the problem immediately.   If you press the Windows key + C

  In the bar of charms, click settings, and then change the settings of PC

  Click on users

  You will see your primary account listed.

  Under your info, you should see disconnect your Microsoft Account, click this button

  This will change your current account at the local level

  You can then click Connect Your Microsoft account once again and now synchronization with which ever account you want.  :)

  Thanks for the update. As I understand it the issue is frustrating in regards to the signing in and out the Xbox account.
   
  I suggest you to create different user accounts, given that the issue could be caused due to:
   
  1 Microsoft Account used as the credentials of the user who allows to connect to the associated Xbox (a few games on the Microsoft Store) that is the Collection of Solitaire using the same credentials on behalf of Xbox Live.
   
  2. otherwise, the user has a local account on the computer, but when the topic download the game downloaded using the Microsoft Account.
   

  I suggest to create a new user account with the credentials of the user, and then every user will be able to play games with the credentials of his.

  I couldn't change my avatar in the games of Xbox on Windows 8.  I have an Xbox and play only on Win8.  When I select Edit Avatar I usually get just a white and grey screen with a refresh button that does nothing.  Sometimes it actually shows me different Avatars (1 times out of 20), but then it won't let me choose one or do something.  I connected and in games and uninstalled and reinstalled them without change.  I checked the updates and restarted my computer.  I looked all over the internet and cannot find a solution.  Is the problem that I don't have an Xbox and am only using Windows 8?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.
