  You can try to check out the other laptops with the same sound card for the new sound card driver or you visit the website of s manufacturer and research out there for the new version on this driver.

  The day before yesterday I bought a Toshiba Satellite 15.6 L50-A-1EH model n: PSKK6E - 07Q05CDU

  By far I love the device, but I get BSOD notice whenever I start a game (probably because Intel on Nvidia?). I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT M 740 and am running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

  The problem may be caused by the fact that I updated the Nvidia driver for the first time to use my laptop.   But the BSOD came back. Yet once again, I deleted the driver currently installed and tried to install a new on the nVidia site itself. Yet again, my game crashes and I get an error.

  The error I get is:
  Unhandled Thread Exception system

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not that good at computers please keep this in mind.

  I found some people more in the Microsoft forum having the same problem with the error message: System unhandled Thread Exception

  It seems that the nVidia driver compatibility problem between the driver and the software running (in your case the game)

  Try to remove/uninstall the old driver in Device Manager, and then remove the Nvidia folder on the C: drive. Then, restart the laptop.

  Try installing the latest driver nVIdia driver Toshiba UE page.

  The same graphics card was built in different Toshiba notebooks like:
  Satellite C50
  Satellite C55
  Satellite L70
  Satellite M40T
  Satellite P50
  Satellite P50T
  Satellite S50
  Satellite S50T
  Satellite S70
  Satellite S70T

  I recommend you to check the GPU driver published for these units

  I've just updated from Windows XP to Windows 7. I got a new HD installed (320 GB 7200 RPM), and the guy who did the installation for me put Windows 7 as the operating system, as he had it a copy of the installation diskettes. in any case, now that I got Windows 7, some functions have stopped working, namely:

  Shortcut keys keyboard - on the left (Stop, Play, Pause, etc.)
  -QuickScroll on the touchpad
  SD card adapter-

  The first 2 are not so bad to lose, but I use the SD card adapter almost on a daily basis, if not much to lose. I know that the incompatible drivers are to blame, but anyone know how I could get the SD card, one (and the others if possible) to work with Windows 7? I tried the Windows 7 forum, but after a few failures, they referred me here, like you guys would be more informed. Thanks in advance,

  In the history I see two problems: as you know Windows 7 is not yet on the market and Toshiba has not started the official support of Win7. So for the moment there are no drivers.
  Second thing is that you have older model laptop and I'm not sure that Toshiba will support it for Win7.

  So, in my opinion, you have to use the supported OS and I think it's Vista. Check the support from Toshiba and download page to make sure if you can find all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities for your laptop model.
  If you like Win7 and you want to use it in the future, you must accept that you will have not all the operations available on the operating system. It is your choice to decide what is most important to you is old but works well OS most recently, but without some of the features.
  It may also happen that some Win7 tools designed for new models of portable computers also works on notebooks, but this isn't the time to write about it now. Let's see what happens the next few months.

  That's all that I can say about it for now.

  IAM having a problem to update my adapter wireless on my Lenovo Ideapad y500. I was able to download the right one. CAB file but when I use the Device Manager to manually point to this driver, it says that it cannot find. Windows uses 8. I don't know what information you need more to help me.

  You need to download a different file. See the image with the driver wifi Atheros for win 7 and win 8 below. They are all the exe files. The photo in your first post is to the ethernet adapter not the wireless adapter
