  I decided to upgrade the operating system of my laptop Toshiba Windows XP to Windows 7. As it was my first time, I decided to buy a HDD replacement so that I'd be able to do a clean install of Windows 7 without compromising my data and programs on the old disk. That went well, but the data and previously installed programs that I had used for the years remained in the hard disk which has been deleted.

  Now, I would replace the new hard drive (on which I have installed Windows 7) with the original hard disk (which contains Wndows XP and all my data, all my programs). With that done, I would like to perform an installation upgrade of Windows 7 (on Windows XP). In order to make a second installation on another hard drive (but the same work) what I should do to meet the legal installation MS for Windows 7?

  ALTF11 works for me but I have my preferences for the OS X keyboard set to 'Use all F1, F2, etc. as standard function keys keys' in you so the setting that activates the characteristics printed on each key by default, then you will need to press FnAlt F11F11 or I believe you can uncheck "enable Mac OS shortcuts keyboard" in VMware Fusion preferences and then Altshould work without using Fn +.  VMware Fusion (menu bar) > Preferences... > keyboard & mouse > keyboard shortcuts in Mac OS

  I'm unable to connect to the wireless network.

  I have an Acer Aspire 5315 with an Atheros AR5007EG wireless adapter. This shows that "working properly" in the Device Manager. I tried to re - install the drivers for it constantly. They seem to everyone install ok but I still have the problem.

  The symptoms are...

  (1) if I try to set up a wireless connection, I get "unexpected error occurred". There is no useful looking for messages in the event viewer.

  (2) if I use "Diagnose and repair" I get "knows the network adapter driver or hardware related issues.

  I uninstalled everything which I think could be the cause of conflicts. I scanned for malware. I have run chkdsk and sfc. I have all the updates from Windows Update. I tried in Safe Mode with networking, but still get the same results.

  OS is Vista Home Basic 32-bit SP2.

  I would be grateful for any advice that might help solve this please.

  I have now re-installed Windows and everything works fine.  I still have no idea what caused the problem, or if it could have been set without a re - install.

  Where everyone was as frustrated by what I was, and I know that this exposes my ignorance but...

  1. in ExtendScript, F1 to open help.

  2. Select the product you are developing against in the help panel.

  3. Google what you want to do and, if you're lucky, you will find an object type or method name for try the search against

  (4 use the search help and I hope to whatever you hold dear that has you) corresponds to something useful and b) do not match too (both cases will cause absolutely no useful data)

  This will give you some (but very basic) syntax searchable guides... Buyer beware...

  Syntax guides do not, for example, distinguish (or provide details of) the difference between the IDS server or Office IDS and method signatures are different...

  Incomplete, awkward and a little difficult to use, but at least it is the documentation...

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A300-1tim: PSAGCE-08X00GPL.
  After reinstalling Windows (Vista 32 bit), everything was fine until the moment when I wanted to turn off the backlight touch multimedia keys, those just above the keyboard (above the F1 to F12 keys).

  Mute, play/pause, stop and change of tracks in Windows Media Player buttons worked very well, except the second button - turning on WMP (but it was flashing after pressing).

For example, if I produce a column to fill with 0.5 and import the file into the analog signal generator, all I get is a huge series of random number. I missed a few steps in the import of the waveform?

  Just for your reference, I could almost in half the size of your file just by saving as .hws. Also to answer your last point, you may have issues opening / importing your .txt file because it may have been opened in another program at the same time. Make sure that you have closed it in Notepad or Excel or other programs which may still be locking on the reference.

• Shift at the choice of the steps sequence editor

  Hello all-

  I run into a few problems these last time with the sequence editor (TS 4.1 / LV 8.6) where by selecting some of the steps will be literally up to 30 seconds to load (instead of dry normal 1 or 2)... it seems to affect niswitch associated steps most, but virtually all the measures seem to have a good time. It seems that this situation is aggravated if I shift-select many steps at a time - for example if I take 4 steps, he literally will pick up for 2 straight minutes before I can change the options for stage. Seqedit.exe takes 100% of the CPU during this time as well.

  I will add that I have in fact two identical configurations, and this affects only one of them...

  I think it's safe to assume that the sequence in fact probably one editor kind of research or something, but I expect that once the VI is loaded into memory (say niswitch.llb/connect channels), it would be fine for the rest of the time I spend editing... any advice on what exactly it is?

  other than this taking a lot of time, nothing is technically "broken" and my sequences work very well, but my development time is crazy now because I spend 80% of my time sitting to wait for the spring sequence editor to life!

• Snapshots broken - two snapshots pointing to the same basic disk, may consolidate

  I'm running into a brick wall with a problem I'm having with snapshots. Sometime a few nights ago a configuration change was made to one of our virtual machines even if a snapshot exists for this virtual machine. Later, shots were not working properly.

  The initial snapshot, which was there when changing the configuration seems to have consolidated in the basic disk. However, the snapshot files are always here (1 mb in size) and are still there in the Snapshot Manager.

  Create snapshots in addition to this, one works very well, but they cannot be consolidated:

  An error occurred in consolidating the discs: msg.snapshot.error - DUPLICATEDISK.

  Examining the files .vmsn watch the first snapshot and the second snapshot point to the same basic, disk rather than the second snapshot pointing to the first snapshot.

  I've attached a zip file of all the files that appear to be relevant.

  My thought is this: since we know that the first snapshot contains no valuable data (the deltas are empty; they were not pushing between the time when the first consolidation 'fail' and the second snapshot was created) can change us the .vmsd of the virtual machine and delete the references to the snapshot of the first, broken? This would allow consolidation to ignore that first unnecessary snapshot that points to the same disks as the second and ends correctly?

  If a vmsd is no longer valid and snapshotmanager does not display anything, or something that has no sense
  create a directory "deletemelater" inside the existing - move all the vmsd and vmsn-files into it.
  Then look at the config really used by
  1. Mark vmdk in your current config in reading the vmx file (scsi0:0.filename =?.) VMDK
  2. check?. VMDK and follow the referenced parentFileNameHint it
  3 do the same for each additional parts possibly existing chain of snapshot
  ....
  X. Finally, you should find the reference to the basedisk

  If all the paths make sense and are available and you want to keep the virtual machine, as it is configured
  create a new snapshot while the virtual machine is turned off.
  This should create a fresh and valid minimum vmsd file that also will allow future automatic backups after then used the function UI 'clear all '.
  Vmsd-files for editing is rarely needed - and the above procedure is much less error-prone.

  You should get some basic skills in After Effects.  It is not a program, you can just start using without having to learn the basics and expect to have success at all.

  That being said here, that's what you need to do.

  Comp 2 duplicate in the project (not the layer panel) Panel in order to have a '3 Comp '.  Add a layer to 1 Comp.  Now modify Comp3, and you will see the difference.

  Understand that Comp2 will always be Comp2 little matter how many times you duplicate in the layer panel.  Whenever you make a change to Comp2 that change will be seen in each layer named Comp2 any composition it is nested in. That's what you need to do.

  I just gave you a fish, but it won't last long.  Soon you will ask for another.  So now, I'll give you a fishing rod: you must learn how nesting compositions in After Effects.   You must take some time to learn the basics of After Effects, or else you're going to be here every day asking why this, why that. Every day ask for a fish.  You can simply download a model and expect to be able to use it.  It is an unrealistic expectation. .
