  The built in clock app can not be deleted. It's there somewhere search on all pages and all records. If all else fails, you can reset your layout of the home screen. Settings > general > reset > Reset Home screen presentation.

  The alarm works perfectly on the ring setting, but with the ipod, it's incompatible.   The camera button actually already off the alarm.  Many people don't think to try it, but I use it every morning.  I think that even the volume buttons it will be turned off.  Give it a try, hope that helps.
