  I am putting together a Keynote presentation for an event. During the test/read the file, I get a huge 14 second delay before the slide transitions occur. The timer stops and then continues, as well as playback of the presentation, 14 seconds later. I saw the same presentation on iMac a colleague and the presentation is seamless - no delay (unless specified by me of course!). I use Keynote a lot, so I am confident that these delays are not of my own making.

  I use an iMac (retina 5K, 27 inches, end of 2015), with a processor 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 and DDR3 8 GB 1867 MHz memory.

  Version of Keynote is 6.6.2

  The speech and the software system is completely up-to-date (I've updated everything in the hope that it could solve the problem).

  All proposals/solutions would be appreciated as I am quite confused.

  I'll answer my own question, just in case someone else has the same question; I forgot to mention that I use a dual display configuration - my second monitor is a Benq 24 "HD. I noticed that when I have the browser on the Benq and reading on the screen of the iMac, I'm late, but when I swap them so that the browser or on the iMac and playback of the presentation on the Benq, I don't get the problem.

  I use of Podcast Addict (PA) successfully for over a year, but recently, each track stops playing about 3 or 4 seconds before the end - it's a problem for the podcasts, as often, the speech goes right up to the last second.  I asked the author of PA and he pointed the finger at internal drive that uses its app, which suggests a ROM update is required.

  I also tried to use ES Explorer Player, Music (was Walkman) and also player of MX and all three show the same symptoms.

  I got more information on this subject and the reason that you can not hear as the last seconds of the file is a design limitation of the gapless playback feature. You may also notice this in other phones that incorporates the gapless playback feature.

  About the audio driver, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the sound card and check.

  a. Click Start and type devmgmt.msc, and then Enter.

  c. right-click on the sound card and choose uninstall.

  d. restart the computer and check

  I'm having this problem with Windows Media Player. I use WMP12 to play songs in MP3 format. Just before each channel ends, approx. ~ 5 seconds before the end of each song, for example, the media player seems pauses / freezes for 1-1.5 seconds.   You must have read my response wrong. Condition is OK, but you have to trigger on enter for the first issue of practice, not on the first slide of the real issue.   I guess that this shift will be caused due to the BIOS test. After you turn on your laptop it checks internal devices like HDD/SSD, CD/DVD disk, CPU, RAM, etc. So some of the material was originally this delay, I think.

  If the latest BIOS can't solve your problem, it would be interesting to know what is happening with a SSD of replacement. Can you check that out, please?

  Don t know if you can do something to avoid this problem, but very important are (by default) TV reset after each update of the firmware.
