How to fix Windows Media Player as he cut about 5 seconds before the end of each song?

Original title: Windows Media Player turns off about 5 seconds before the end of each piece. Should I uninstall and reinstall the drive to fix?

Windows media player cuts and in about 5 seconds before the end of each song played: How can I fix.  The problem is definitely with WMP, it does not work with other players on my PC.

Hello mckendrick,.

Sorry for all the questions that you are experiencing with Windows Media Player.
I have included a link here to a convenience store for Windows Media Player. It can help to identify potential problems with codecs.

I hope this can help.

Thank you

  • 5 seconds before the end of each song, windows media player freezes about 1-2 seconds

    Hello

I'm having this problem with Windows Media Player. I use WMP12 to play songs in MP3 format. Just before each channel ends, approx. ~ 5 seconds before the end of each song, for example, the media player seems pauses / freezes for 1-1.5 seconds. The freeze/pause is defintiely not intentional - the gel looks as if WMP is having a problem reading from a file.

I searched but not solution yet discovered. I have turned on SRS WOW. I don't see as a problem because otherwise the songs play fine - disablying SRS WOW is not what you can call the problem. In addition, the reason why WMP stands out for me is its SRS WOW. If I'm not going to need SRS WOW, so I guess use VLC/MediaPlayerClassic, for example.

Please help me. Thank you. The gel all spoils!

Yes, you can try to uninstall the current driver first.

If this does not help, I suggest you check out the real manufacturer of the sound card. If the sound card is not made by Samsung, then it is possible that you will find newer drivers on the website of the real manufacturer.

  • Windows Media Player 11 Date added function - please stop repeating the date for EACH file.

I have been using Media Player 9, decided to upgrade to Windows Media Player 11, and the only thing I can not stand on Player 11 is how it sorts Date added media files.  In Player 9 when I chose the column Date added, the program would list all the files on a given under a SINGLE date.  With Windows Media Player 11 it lists EACH file with a date so that instead of see Tuesday, December 14, 2010 once and then listing all of the files under it, I see Tuesday, December 14, 2010 about twenty times.  I download podcasts once a week and dump it on my phone, but it's a worry now.  Is it possible to stop Windows Media Player 11 to repeat the date again and again and force him to the date that the list only once?  Think back to Player 9.  Alex

    Hi Alex103,

It's design in Windows media player 11 and it is also included in Windows Media player 12.

However, you can uncheck this option, follow the steps below:

    a. open windows Media player

    b. right-click on one of the sorted column

    c. click Choose column

    d. uncheck data added

  • How to reinstall windows media player in Vista?

I had Media Player on my computer at the same time but was not using it so uninstalled, I need now, but when I try to download it, I get a message that I already have a version of media player on my computer. I looked in my control panel and all I can think of and can't find it. I need to know how to get rid of the message saying: I have a version of it, so I can download it again or how can I find it and put an icon on my desktop

If you have Windows Vista, you have Windows Media Player INCLUDED. , It is part of the system. It cannot be uninstalled.
This is why you get this message.
You do NOT uninstalled. You could have 'removed' in the start menu, but the program is still in the system.

    Try the easiest way...
Start button > in the search box, type windows media player > do you see Windows Media High Playerat left? If so, click it. Now that you have Windows Media Player.

If for some reason, that the method above does not work...
Start button > computer > right click on the C: drive > Open > highlightthe program files, make a right click, clickOpen > scroll to findWindows Media Pla..., right-click, click Open > scroll to find wmplayer.exe, click it. Now you should have Windows Media Player on screen.

    Hi patriciabrown,

Windows Media Format Runtime 11 is for people who want to use the latest Windows Media Player codecs without installing Windows Media Player 11.

Windows Media Format runtime is required for WMA (Windows Media Audio) and WMV (Windows Media Video). It is also recommended that you keep Windows player 11 and window media player 11 runtime.

You cannot install the Windows media player 12 on Windows XP because there is no standalone package out yet, and this is only available in the Windows 7 operating system.

  • Receive the message error "Windows Media Player cannot extract one or more tracks from the CD"

Original title: Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 8 - will not tear, will not allow rip parameter changes

Recently started Windows Media Player displays this error message when I tried to rip CDs: "Windows Media Player cannot extract one or more tracks from the CD." When I checked the rip settings, I found that no location has been chosen, even if I had chosen a location when I first set up WMP over a year ago. When I clicked on the "Change location" button, nothing happened, so I'm not able to choose a file location. I downloaded and Fix It (http://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows-media-player-diagnostic-Windows-8/en-us) from Microsoft allows WMP and the library, hoping this would solve the problem, but the problem persists. After that, I also found that none of the rip settings can be changed, not only the location of the file. I get an error message that "ripping settings could not be applied" when I try to change anything on the tab music Rip under Options. I found a support of forum responses that mention a registry fix but does not provide any details on how to achieve this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Ripping allows you to put the titles of your audio CD on your PC. When you rip the tracks, they become digital files on your PC.

There are two places in the Player library where you can customize your settings and better to make ripping work:

    • In the Rip settings menu (with less choice customization).

    • In the Options dialog box (with several choices of customization).

Method 1: run the tool library, Windows Media Player and Windows Media Player settings and check if the extraction is possible.

    Step 1:

a: press the logo Windows + O to open the search box.
    b: Type Troubleshooting, press ENTER.

    c: now, click on programs.

d: and then click Windows Media Player  library.

    Step 2:

a: press the logo Windows + O to open the search box.
    b: Type Troubleshooting, press ENTER.

    c: now, click on programs.

d: and then click Windows Media settings.

Method 2: Perform the steps from the link below and see if it helps.

    Hello

You might have items in your library in Windows Media Player that are missing or incorrect information to the media, such as the titles of the songs, track numbers, artist names, album, or genre. Incorrect information can be added when you ripped the tracks from the CD or because you used another program to rip your CDs.
