  I downloaded the new creative cloud app to update my photoshop CC 2014 but I get an error 48 when I try to install it. I tried to disable the antivirus: without success.

  I turned off the Kaspersky and it seems to work.

  We have exactly the same problem here. We are a french School of Design, equipped with a very fast network (local gigabit and 100 Mbit fiber internet line).

  Impossible to download anything using Adobe Creative Cloud Packager. Error A12E5. We tried everything tip, we found on the internet: reset or delete files OOBE, uninstall everything and start from scratch, tool of WAA Cleaner (who can't find anything to uninstall, btw), etc.

  Our network works like a charm and is not a simple problem of stability... We have only a proxy server set in the OS x preferences that has always worked with CS (that we usually downloaded from the Adobe licensing Web site) installed using Adobe AAMEE.

  With CC which is another story: when starting of Creative Cloud Packager, we can't even to begin the process. Error A12E5 is instantly. And we are unable to get rid of the proxy, since we are a school with more than 1000 users... We cannot disconnect the Proxy-firewall just to give it a try... Proxy server may not be the problem anyway since it is set correctly in preferences OSX...

  So I create our home (!) installation package: tons and tons of gigabytes to download on a line of 4 Mbps.

  And we fear that the next update process that will surely fail with A12E5 error...!

  Could you please try the following steps in the article and let us know if this helps. Most of the time A12E5 occurs because of network securities, but it seems that you have validated the proxy for package Adobe creative cloud Manager.

  in this case I download a trial version really new to your program (s) in question and change / them later in a 'real' version, BUT because you said, you "re-" already installed, then it becomes a little complicated. It would be necessary that you need to use «Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool»
