  • How change a PDF file created with Acrobat Pro XI after signatures have been applied (as I can in 7, 8.0

I have a major problem that I need to resolve before we can buy Acrobat Pro XI:

Currently, with Acrobat Pro 8.1, after all signatories sign a document, we add an effective Date (we add it after they sign since we do not know when the last signature is acquired and we cannot have an effective Date that is prior to the date of the last signatory, moreover, it would be effective before they signed, which is not possible). I am also authorized the latitude (as described in our Documentation control procedure) to make spelling corrections, hyperlink updates and minor formatting changes (using the typewriter and, also, by replacing a page which is NOT signed so page change shows how to repaginate the document or the amendment of a hyperlink that has changed).

In all versions previous Acrobat we used (7 Pro, Pro 8 and 8.1 Pro), this was easily possible and any changes would be listed on the Signatures tab, which is exactly what we want, is traceability.

I now use the trial version of Acrobat Pro XI but get the message "this document is signed and cannot be displayed." If I bring the same PDF created from Word 2003 & 2013 using Acrobat Pro XI in Pro 8.1, however, I CAN add the date, use the typewriter and replace unsigned pages, register and leave without compensation or lose any signature.

My question is this: How can I do this in Acrobat Pro XI, as Pro XI (in the Signature pane) lists also changes made to the document, when it was edited using Pro 8.1? (It's OK that the changes made to the PDF and then mark signatures as "invalid", as the reason why they were invalidated is also listed in the pane of the Signature, for example "form field added," which is usually the Date of effect applied).

    Thanks for any help!

Thank you, Zildjian, and isakten. You me headed in the right direction. What I ended up doing was just a form text (for entry into force) field, then the required signature fields. After everyone has signed, I can the Effective Date of entry, then save the document and I don't have to sign myself or apply any type of certification. I just have to remember to put the text before form field I have forward the documents. It's the right answer, at least for my situation.

    Thanks again!

  • Reinstall acrobat pro cs4

    Hello

I am running CS4 Master Collection on PC Win 7.  I uninstalled Acrobat Pro a few months ago because I kept getting "data corruption" error when you use a PDF of DRM file.  I get with Adobe Reader for a while, but it takes Acrobat again to digital signatures, etc.

I've loaded my installation media and selected Acrobat Pro for resettlement, but nothing happens when I click the button install.  The GUI just says: "Prepare for Installation" and it is there forever.

I don't want to reinstall the entire collection CS4 just to get Acrobat back on my system...

    Any ideas?

If you use Adobe Reader, then it has installed newer versions of PDF libraries and it's your real nag - up here. You need to get rid of him. Otherwise, you always have to reinstall the full package of CS4. selective install rarely ever works reliably and you can end up with a useless mess one way or another. The cleaning tool is your friend.

  • Acrobat Pro DC - failed to create the digital signature field

    Hello:

I use a trial version of Acrobat Pro DC and PREPARATION of a form to an existing PDF document. I can't find a way to create a digital signature field that can be "click (to sign).

Note: The existing .pdf has a digital signature field works but when I click on 'Prepare the form' and select this shape, it blocks every time Adobe Acrobat Pro. I must change the .pdf first, delete the existing digital signature field, save the .pdf, then on 'Prepare the form' and select it with the required signature checked.

I read several articles in the knowledge base and tutorials that refer to an icon in the toolbar of the digital signature, but I have not this icon can be selected. That's what I see:

When I select the available signature icon (envelope with x) this simply creates a text field, that when the document is opened in Adobe Reader, this field disappears when you click it.

I tried with Adobe Acrobat Pro on Windows 7 as well as currently on Mac OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite). Help to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

The problem is that you have selected the signing required check box. When you do this, it limits you to a form that is compatible with Adobe sign, which allows no digital signature fields. What you can do is to click on the more button in the right panel and select "Back to the form of Acrobat" and you will be able to add digital signature fields.

  • How to clear the signature in acrobat pro dc

I want to erase a signature on a document DC form I created. I used to be able to do a right-click on the signature field and choose "Clear Signature" but this option is not available.

    Hi Pete,.

The "Clear Signature" option is available in Acrobat Pro MS as in Acrobat Pro XI.

You can delete a signature if you are the writer, in other words, if the digital ID with which you made the signature is available for Acrobat.

I see two reasons that the "clear signature" is perhaps not available:

    1. your digital ID is not available to Acrobat Pro DC. In other words, you don't him not yet imported it for use in Acrobat or do not have your smart card in the reader, etc.

    2. When you signed the PDF document, you have chosen the option "Lock after signing the Document.

Hi - I've never asked a question here - forgive me if I am doing it wrong. I am trying to add a digital signature field in Acrobat DC, so it can be signed to the reader by someone other than me. (A digital step type that DC will draw to you or allow you to draw yourself.) I can do the fields but they do not work. The signature fields used to have little flags in the corner of the box that indicates that they were ready to be signed. My steps consist of:

Select Tools - prepare forms. I click on the "this document requires signature. Automatic detection is on.

Next, I check the automatically created fields. I tried to just change the properties of the signature signature box and I also tried drawing signature block or a right signature (not sure what the difference is) , I noticed that under "More" there «return it to the form acrobat.» When I do I get the message that "Acrobat will now NEA Acroform - click ok to continue"-I made and save - can I save again with the new name of 'Save as another' to activate the form. So I check the form in Reader, but it does not work! What I am doing wrong? I used to be able to do that!  I tried other ways, but DC wants me to a digital signature for me (I already have one!) Help please!

In Acrobat, you can add a signature field to the form:

  • Can I exclude the time included with the date in a digital signature for Acrobat DC?

The digital signature field is a field of area/half which can contain the bit of your own signature image, while the other half contains printed information that are partially customizable via the interface of Acrobat DC:

    acrobatdc-sig2.png

There that somehow we can exclude the date and GMT (surrounded above)? If this is not possible through regular programming interface, it is possible using an Acrobat API (since Acrobat supports the use of Javascript)?

    Hi rmiranda-applikon

Yes! You can do the same thing.

Once you choose to add a Digital Signature in PDF format, click on create a new look... option under label appearance as shown below:

Of the configure Signature appearance that opens dialog, uncheck the option 'Date' and select the options desired, that you want to display in your signature.

    Hi brad.

Yes. You can use the analysis tools to straighten and crop your document. Here is a link to a new tutorial. The key to activate the sliding options recovery is to choose the option of the camera Image in the drop to Enhance, and gives you tools to set the correct page for smoothing areas.

  • Possibility to place a signature in Acrobat Pro ms?

In earlier versions of Acrobat, I could easily add my signature to a PDF document that a colleague had already signed.  This was useful (mandatory in fact) for documents that require several levels of approval. It seems that it is no longer possible in Acrobat DC unless the original document has signature fields added from the outset.  Is there a way to get around this?  Most of the forms I need to sign in this way is not under my control... change them are not an option.

I assume you are using digital signatures. Do you mean that you cannot sign in Acrobat DC exactly the same PDF that you are able to sign in an earlier version of Acrobat? This doesn't seem fair.

Is it possible that the PDF you want to sign in DC is a new that you never tried to sign before in an earlier version of Acrobat? If this is the case then your PDF is especially unlikely certified with permissions that prevent future signature, or that it already contains a previous digital signature that is locked. In both cases you cannot sign again in any version of Acrobat (at least since Acrobat 7 or 8). When you print your PDF printer PDF file, you effectively remove all existing signatures (although their appearance is perhaps still there), and allows you to sign. Open the Signature Panel in your original PDF you want to sign and inspect its existing signatures if it contains one (I think it does).
