Photosmart HP 7520 - Windows 7 - double-sided printing shrinks Word 10 text margins

I don't know if it's a problem of printer or the Word 10.  I type manuscripts with headers and footers with a margin of 1 inch all around.  The margins are very well when I tell the printer to print on one side of the paper.  When I indicate on both sides of the printer paper, margins, and the text will shrink.  Why? How can I stop this?

Thank you

I talked to our engineers, I discovered that this is not a problem, it is also part of the design of the machine and it won't change. The reason that this happens is that before printing can occur the rollers must be able to pick up the paper and through the paper path. The first page is owned by the roll of output, while the second page is reduced in size, so the main roller can keep in touch with the paper. This affects all ink jet printers and not only your particular model.

  • HP Color Laser Jet CP2025: double-sided printing disabled in Windows 10

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and downloaded the latest driver for my printer. I can't find any setting of double-sided printing. Is there something that I am missing. I tried to download the Toolbox, but it does not work on a 64-bit computer.

The function "automatic detection" used by some (Windows) drivers on the install (or update) does not always; make sure the driver knows that a duplex unit is present on the printer (assuming that a single is present):

    • For the instance of the printer in question, bring up the printer properties dialogue.
    • Select the device settings tab.
    • Make sure the duplex unit is set to installed and not installed.

You will probably need to be logged in with administrator credentials in order to change the settings of the device.

  • Invalid double-sided printing on the HP Photosmart C6280 all-in-One (printer, Scanner, copier)

On my 'old' computer (ca. 1974) the print mechanism duplex worked fine, but after that I installed the printer on my 'new' PC (Windows 7, 64-bit), the double-sided printing feature works not at all (although it allows me to print on both sides manually).  In order to operate as it did in the past, should I uninstall everything related to the printer before reloading the software?  Or do I have to reload the software at all?  Or what should I do?  I would like to know before taking any action, because I don't want to create problems for me or my computer/printer.

The duplexer must be set to "installed" as described in The Vista/Windows 7 Duplex Printing Guide troubleshooting here.  You will not need to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

  • HP Photosmart 5524 - double sided printing - back comes out backwards

I bought this printer last week and she chose specifically because it's "automatic double-sided printing. However, when it is set to print (flip on short edge) the back is reflected backwards.

Does anyone know how to get all pages of reading in the same way?

Two sided with the parameter ' Flip on short edge ' prints the pages in this way. When you bind the sheets of paper on the shorter side (top of page) the reverse page should be printed in reverse to ensure readability.

If you want both sides to be printed the same way, try the two sided with the option ' Flip on the side the longest. "

I just installed this new printer (8710) and use the operating system macOS 10.12 Sierra. I can't understand how the new printer to a default back. It is defaulted to double sided printing and I want to change that. Any suggestions?

    Hello
Follow these steps to disable two-sided printing:

Open the file that you want to print. On the file menu, select print. The print window is displayed.

NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Click Show details to display all available parameters.

Click on the settings drop-down list, it usually appears under the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    Select layout from the drop-down.

    Set the duplex as Off.

You can save the settings as a preset by clicking preset > save current settings as preset.

By default, the print job by completing these settings will remain until another preset is used in the future.

  • LaserJet P1102w: Double-sided printing will not turn off

Even if double-sided printing is NOT selected in the printer properties, printing all ask for double-sided printing.  So if I go to print a single page printjob, the computer asks to have the blank page that was 'printed' just to get back in the tray.

How can I get this fixed?

    Hi @Skunkeeper,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you use a HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer with a Windows 10 computer and when you try to print a single page, the printer ejects a blank page and ten invites you to put in the tray, so the second side can be printed, even if double-sided printing is not selected. I would like to help with that.

This really looks like a software problem. I would like to start by running this HP print and Scan Doctor. It is a tool that allows you to diagnose and solve the problems of printing software and printer.

ALL OUT UPSIDE DOWN AND ALSO very small PRINT ON ONE SIDE OF THE PAPER HALF. HOW TO SET THE PRINTER SETTINGS BY DEFAULT OR CHANGE WHAT IS PAST?   Oh it then, I'm not yelling, just noticed the hats were on.

    Jay B.

    Hi @Jayburn,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that the back comes out on top down, when duplex printing with your HP Officejet 6700 Premium, Windows 7. I am pleased to see that for you!

Please, take a look through this guide, print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing) for HP Officejet Premium 6700 e-all-in-one printer (H711). Follow the instructions for Windows.

    Guidelines General double-sided printing

Do not print on both sides of the following types of paper, or paper jams may occur:

    • Transparencies
    • Envelopes
    • Photo paper
    • Glossy paper
    • Paper lighter than 60 g/m2 (16 lb).
    • Heavier than 105 g/m2 (28 lb) paper.

Several kinds of paper require a specific orientation when you print on both sides of a sheet. It's letterhead, preprinted paper and paper with watermarks and pre-perfores holes. The printer will print the first side of the first book. Load the paper with the top edge first and the side to be printed facing downwards.

    I hope this helps!

Business Inkjet 1200 allow automatic duplex printing, it is disabled by default and must be enabled:

Right-click the 1200 printer icon, then select printer properties.
    Open the device settings tab.
As installed in Duplex Automatic Two-Sided accessory and then click OK to save the change.

Automatic duplex printing should now available in the final by choosing to use the auto-recto-sided unittab.

  • How can I print A4 borderless with double-sided printing?

I have a HP Photosmart/premium printer and print booklets in Word 2010. When I do, the text and the photos come out compressed because the printer is put into a border on the right edge. I need to print without margins, but with duplex printing using A4. I get a message saying that these 2 are incompatible. How can I replace it? If I print in A4 without border, text, and pictures look correct (the same as on the screen), but I need to print duplex as well.

    Hi Katiepic,

Borderless printing and double-sided printing is not supported at the same time. You have to manually duplex work by putting it into the paper tray to print on the back.

    Hello

You related to automatic duplex printing or copy? While your title refers to printing your description refer to the copy...

Regarding printing, follow the steps below to automatically print double-sided print jobs:

In the file being used to print click the file menu and select print.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized. Press show details to show all available print option.

In the print window expanded you will find next to Copies the checkbox for duplex. Select the check box.
NOTE: If the check box does not appear in the specific application print dialog box, skip this step.

To select the connection type click the selection box below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

    5. Select the menu drop down.

    6. set the duplex option as the binding edge (Portrait) Long or short edge (landscape) bond.

You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset. By default, a used preset will remain until another preset will be used.

About two-sided copying, the M277dw offer that duplex printing features, not copy both sides of a document original two-sides.

  • OfficeJet7590 - Double-sided printed under Office2010

    Hello

I have an OfficeJet Pro attached to 2 PC 7590, 1 PC connected by network 2nd PC attached via the USB port.

    Both systems are running:

    -Windows 7 64 bit

    -Office 2010

    -HP driver version 14 (OJProL7X00_Full_14)

I mainly print duplex with 2 sheets per review page.

If I choose "flip pages on the short edges", Word 2010 print only the last 4 pages, 1 page.

I see the task in the printer display, showing all the pages to print. After the 1st printed page, employment disappears.

If I choose "flip pages long edges", printing is OK

I had this problem with Office 2007 (running on XP). In Office 2007, I had to choos to the printer driver settings. With Office 2010, this is done directly in Word.

Is there a solution to this problem.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards

    Laurent Zotto

    Hello Lawrence,.

In order to use the accessory automatic duplex, you don't have to set the Printing Preferences screen and not the word dialogue print.

In Word, open the document, and then click file > print.

Click the Preferences button located right after the selection of the printer box.

Listed Automatic double-sided printing , and then click OK and perform your impression.

If you unable to see the automatic option, check the duplex unit is installed in the pilot:

Enter the control panel > devices and printers.

Right-click on the icon HP Officejet series L7500 , and then click printer properties.

Click the device settings tab and check that the accessory front marked as installed.

If you want to set both sides as defaul, you can click on Printing Preferences in the context of the context menu, then define the two-Sided Printing and approve to set it as the default preferences.

Please let me know of any questions,

  • How to disable the Illustrator failing to double-sided printing?

IM using cs5.5 and I cannot find any option in the print window to enable printing recto-verso/disable.

The default printer on my Mac settings have already been set for 1 back.

This is coming from the ppd that is assigned to your printer driver. Each printere is different, but your location should be similar to mine.

Print > printer button > Layout to the characteristics of the printer (or similar) > Duplex (or double sided printing)

You may also be able to modify this function on the master server if you have a stand alone RIP (change the default settings for received files), or the menu button on the printer display panel.
