Adblock does not

I just installed Adblock today after a clean install of windows 7. I tried to find a solution to put an end to this problem, but everything I do helps not at all. I made sure I have subscriptions available in adblock preferences and I made sure I unchecked the leave no intrusive ads are going through. It is also disabled so I have no idea what to do. If you can help I will be grateful. Thank you!

Well, I found my problem, filters have not installed correctly. Thanks again for your response, I'll remember that in future.

OK, I confess that I was using an older version of Firefox on two machines for a long time. I just got so tired of being told to update every day! On my laptop (version 10) Adblock works very well. On a new machine, I'll put in place now, using version 18, I find that the old Adblock is not available, but he told me to try a newer version. However, this does not work. Is Adblock a thing of the past? I hope not!

  • Adblock Plus does not load in firefox 11 and Vista user limit

I am running Windows Vista, fully patched. I downloaded Adblock Plus as an administrator, but not as a limited user. The menu bar does not work as a limited user, but the Firefox button.

I used the download from the Mozilla website button, so I don't know which version of Firefox 11 I had. The problem has been resolved. It seems that the upgrade from 3.6 to 11 was a little more Firefox could deal smoothly. I use Norton 360 and waited until the toolbar become compatible with Firefox (that Symantec says he did to version 8) before the upgrade.

I've improved by being logged on as administrator, and then configure Firefox as I wanted including the add-on Adblock Plus. I disconnected then connected as a limited user. At this point, the menu bar has failed, bookmarking did not work and did not all trying them to install Adblock Plus. After closing Firefox and re-opening a couple of times (as well as using IE9 to see if this browser had problems too - he didn't) Adblock has finished loading and the menu bar has started working. It seems that something in the process of installing just did not finish first. Everything seems fine now.

  • Master password does not work, it's because of my script add-ons-not ghostery, flagfox, better google yandex, like adblock, privacy, WOT?

    Hello Mozilla,

I have included the fundamental question in the previous question. I use the modules above on a browser to firefox via a macbook Intell. I also just reset my master password. I restarted firefox, connected to an online account to test, disconnected, and then reconnected again. After restart of firefox there is no prompt to enter my master password, there is a prompt asking me if I should include the word name and p of the user in the use of firefox master password. What, in your opinion is happening and how could it be solved? Of course, I would continue to use these modules.

If you delete the file signons.sqlite and key3db and set a new master password, then it should work correctly, especially in a new profile or with all extensions disabled.

Note that Firefox does not offer to store new passwords when you're in private browsing mode.

Sometimes a problem with hardware acceleration can make stop button password via the icon key in the location bar does not.

  • Yahoo mail does not load in the new version of FF!

Since the new version of FF (40.0.2) I can not open yahoo mail. I have try to disable noscript and adblock, but nothing. In old portable version of FF 33 site works very well. Can you tell me what wrong and why new FF disable access to yahoo mail?

First of all, a common problem faced by users with Yahoo! mail is that Yahoo changed their server. If you are using an old bookmark or the old address of the homepage to access your e-mail, try to use this more general address so that if your server has changed, you redirected to the new servers:

    https://mail.Yahoo.com/

If this makes no difference, here are some general things to try:

When you have a problem with a particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clear your Firefox cache and delete your cookies for the site.

    (1) delete the Cache of Firefox

See: How to clear the cache of Firefox

Note: If you have a large hard drive, it may take a few minutes.

    (2) remove the cookies from the site (waiting for work save first). While displaying a page on yahoo.com, try either:

    • Right-click the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".
    • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > 'view the Cookies '.
    • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > additional information > "View Cookies".

In the dialog box that opens, you can delete cookies from the site individually.

Then change the address at the top of this dialog from yahoo.com to mail.yahoo.com to see if there are cookies to clear any extra.

Then try to reload the page and sign in again. Workstation?

If this doesn't help, could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

    Any improvement?

  • Why the arrow of 'hide ads' Yahoo email does not appear on Mozilla?

It does on Google Chrome. Contacted Yahoo about this and they suggested might be a Mozilla issue, and I'm tending to agree. It used to work perfectly. Is there a "fix" for this anywhere?

Hey, it's probably because you are using Adblock Plus, you can try to disable modules Manager Ctrl + Shift + a Extensions then. Or you can try to disable the other modules either individually or by using the Mode without failure of Firefox. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  • Customize does not

    Hello
Unknown to me my firefox updated from 28 to the 33.0.2. I had disabled the automatic update but neglected to uncheck "use a background service. Therefore, I try to get my buttons back to the way they were but, when I select 'Customize' located in view - toolbars, it does nothing. Nothing opens and nothing happens. It used to open a box and I could drag and drop the buttons in the measure, but now it does not work.

So, how to get the Customize option to work?
    I'm running Win7 64 bit.

    Thank you for your help.
    Brad

I'm a pretty stubborn guy when it comes to computer problems, and in general, I have always sought solutions to the problems that do not have to uninstall or reinstall the software. Because of my stubborn nature, I slept on this issue and this morning I came across a solution, less some of the things I'll have to look further.

    The solution:
I disabled all my extensions and this made it so that the 'Customize' box present themselves as it is supposed to. I could fix things especially the way that they were before, with a few exceptions. Having to disable the extensions that I use does not make available extensions for drag - move when using customize. This puts a damper on what I can and can't put on the toolbar. Here are other issues I see:

1 - Adblock Plus will not stay in the toolbar after re-opening Firefox. I have to select the option to be available on the toolbar again. In the Extensions list, where I'm supposed to be able to put a check mark in the box that says "display add on Bar" it doesn't let me check box.
    2. text to voice Extension does not appear anywhere. I really like this extension, but it seems that I can't use it until I can find a way to get him back on the toolbar. It is not even appear in the menu of anywhere.
3 - the "Default Full Zoom Level" extension does not display the percentage as levels previously. It shows 100% no matter what level I have a zoom before or on (even if levels change).

If all else fails, I'll try and uninstall the problematic extensions, then reinstall, unless someone here knows the solution to these problems? Other than that, the above (disabling extensions) has solved the problem of the box customize only appear not. I'll mark this as resolved, but I'm still curious to know the extensions does not question, I'll work on that.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Firefox does not play HTML5 audio

My Firefox installation (v33) does not play HTML5 audio.
I am referring to audio tracks (MP3) you can listen to on your personal Google Reader. The stream does not start, there is no time of the track being filled.

-Youtube HTML5 player works great both for Audio and video
-J' tried Incognito mode (without cache and cookies)
-Tried restarting without Add - ons (I use Adblock and other stuff)
    -Tried to restore Firefox.

    None of these permits.

-V38 IE11 and Chrome, the browser listen very well
-A clean Firefox (on my virtual machine, for example) very well disseminate

  • How to get assistance from Mozilla for Firefox with captcha does not?

How the hell can I get any kind of support for Mozilla Firefox that is not some 3rd party site which tells me things are screwed up and it will cost money to repair! My solution is to can firefox but I always liked, but since captcha does not seem to work on Firefox 32, the firefox browser has become useless!

If you use extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) which can block content (e.g., Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that these extensions are not blocking content.

Note that run you Firefox in permanent private browsing mode (don't remember history).

This also happens in normal mode?

  • Automatic connection does not work after re - install

Visited bad link in Facebook! Subsequently, forced to re - install Firefox - from scratch! Saved some files profile as Favorites, passwords, but no extension tricks. Re-installed FireFox after removal of ALL titles I could find in Program Files, Program Files (x 86) and Windows 7 Pro profile.

When visiting a page that requires a login, Firefox correctly fills the username and password. BUT it does not start the connection. In the past, it was essentially a background process and not really visible to me. Now, stop at the page requesting credentials and click on the button "login".

  • Tumblr does not load images in Firefox, but works in other browsers

Recently, after that Firefox itself updated (as it usually does), I noticed that Tumblr does not work for me. I mean, is that, while the site to load and I can view the text without a problem, about 50% of the images do not load even if I refresh the page or restart the browser. Some examples of this are shown here:

    http://i.imgur.com/pmjAXdZ.PNG
    http://i.imgur.com/h4F0Ol4.PNG
    http://i.imgur.com/YO5Ej3Q.PNG

And this is not limited to just the Tumblr dashboard, but also affect the articles too:

    http://i.imgur.com/iyQkjaf.PNG
    http://i.imgur.com/n2yn552.PNG

This is the only problem affecting the site, as I am able to post, reblog and do other things on the site. This is the only site where the problem persists, and Firefox is the only browser in which this problem occurs (I tested it in Chrome and it works fine, but I would rather not switch to Chrome because I prefer Firefox). I deleted the history of Firefox, tried activating / deactivating the proxy, empty the cache, but the problem still persists. It has been like this for a little less than a week now, and while I thought that this would solve itself, it has not yet. Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated

if I uncheck the checkboxes in Filter Preferences, will this completely disable Adblock Plus?

Filter preferences window is divided into two tabs:

    1. Filter subscriptions. Nothing here can cause problems. In case of problems, all first right-click each subscription on the left and choose Update filters. If the problem persists, you can report on the Adblock Plus forum that filter list managers can solve the problem.

    2. Custom filters. Here are the filters that you have created yourself. You can
      • Clear the check boxes next to the categories he there to turn them off.
      • Right click and select Delete to remove them completely.
      • Identify which specific filters problems and remove them as described in the above thread.
  • Suddenly cannot enter anything into some empty search fields, drop-down menus does not and javascript popups freeze randomly. WTH?

I noticed a few things randomly does not not on my computer in the last month or two, and I have tried everything I can think to figure out what it is... still have not thought about it yet. Examples - I was on ebay and the tracking number, I clicked on the page 'My ebay' jumped open a javascript window, but then froze the page so I had to close the tab all. Then on Grooveshark, home page comes up, but if I type anything in the search field, I see what I type, but at the same time, I can still see their default search message. If I try to enter something and click search, it gives me just the warning that I wonder if I want to leave the page, he is never looking for. There are a few other times I think that I tried to use a menu drop-down, and they don't always work - they look just like they are which is clicked but nothing shows. Also do not know if it of related or not, but it is worth mentioning: I tried to install Freecorder and even if I tried both the toolbar and just the installation options button, it does not appear to me to use it, and who is with more disabled adblock. Also not positive took my last update of Adobe Flash, even if I downloaded it.

I like adblock, but I have had that for years, and it has never caused a problem or stopped me to see everything I wanted to see. My system was pretty bada * before that, and it's frustrating that all of a sudden I can't go everywhere and do everything I could before. Why he does this, and I can fix it?

Meh... If I had started here rather than try this search at random, I would have fixed the problem weeks ago. I just did a reset of Firefox and tried all the things I mentioned in the op, and everything seems to work fine now. Well well, outside Freecorder, but I can do the work in a different way, I guess. In any case, reset Firefox = solution. Yay!
