Add Wireless for HP netbook to the existing wired network

I have a wired network for two PC that includes a cable modem and a Linksys BEFSR41 cable/dsl router.  I want to add wireless to my new netbook HP mini110 computer features.  I think that what I need is the Linksys wireless access point.  Is this correct?

Given that you have a functional network then Yes you need only an Access Point (AP).

If you want to make sure that you will be able to get the Apple support in case of problems or questions with your backups, you must use the wireless Time Capsule to back up your Mac.

As long as the time Capsule provides a wireless signal, you can decide who to your 'main' network, then use it wireless Uverse for "guest", or children. If you do not need the Uverse router/modem wireless at all, it is possible to turn off wireless on the device and make it work only as a support modem/router...with Uverse wired.

At this point, you can start thinking about how you want to configure things and get back in touch if you need some advice on how to do it.  We need to know what operating system that uses the Mac that you normally use to administer the time Capsule, provide good instructions, if you need it.

  • Addition of wireless routers in series with the existing network

I have a client who wants to add at least 3 Wireless throughout their existing network routers. The problem is that these routers must be in the same subnet as the existing network. Oh, we use routers Linksys WRT610N. By default, routers set up a new subnet with a DHCP assigned IP of the primary subnet. I was able to change the static WAN IP, but I do not know how to configure the rest. The point of this is that if a user connected via the ethernet cable or wireless signal, they should be able to access the same network resources. I chatted with support, but they are not allowed to help what it isn't is not a "standard" configuration Anyone can shed some light on this subject? I've done this before with another customer, but its been a few years and it's a different router.

    Thank you!

You don't want a router. You want a wireless access point. You have wireless routers that you do not use as routers, but only as access points. A router by definition routes traffic between several subnets connected to the various interfaces (LAN and WAN). This kind of configuration is not what the WRT is built for and that's why support said you that it is not a standard configuration for a WRT.

You can use a WRT as simple access point.

Reconfigure the router via its web interface. Connect a computer to the router first.

    1. set the LAN IP address on a free IP address in the existing network.
    2. make sure NOT to set a static IP address on the type of internet connection.
    3. on the main configuration page turn off the DHCP server.
    4. now save the settings. You will lose the connection.
    5. unplug the computer and one of the numbered LAN ports of wire to your existing network.

Now you can access the web interface of the WRT to the new LAN IP address. All wired to the other 3 LAN ports and everything wirelessly connected has access to the network directly.

  • Add a column in addition to the existing view

    Hello
I need to add a column to the existing view.
    How I do tht?
    Thank you

    Hello

A view is as simple as a SQL query stored in the database with a name server in the system tablespace. Data for a view are built in a table created by the database engine in the TEMP tablespace. Views is not part of the physical schema.
So whenever we want to execute the query us use SELECT * from View_Name. View is as a table for the user, but actually not in house. If you cannot add a column in the existing view. You crush the exsiting using view "create or replace the View ' or create a new view.

  • Cable networking computers add wireless internet is equal to the disaster?

We have a small office with three computers that are connected via a wired connection for the file and printer sharing.   We are in the country, so DSL or Fios or any kind of fast internet is not a possibility.  We have recently added AT & T Wi - Fi which is great, but you must disable the network connection to access the internet and, conversely, to print documents.  Is there a way to tell the wired connection it will be never used for the internet?  Or should we go 100% wireless is not to confuse the system?

When you say your 'network cable cross' your Linksys router, I guess you mean that each computer has a cable connected to the router and not that there is an Internet connection to the router (i.e., at the back of the router, plug with the yellow label 'Internet' is empty).  It seems, however, that you used to connect to the Internet through the router, and the remains of this configuration are the cause of the confusion.

I also note that the Linksys E-1000 is a wireless router; I guess you have this part of the router disabled (if not, see pages 19 and 20 of the user manual).

It seems also that if someone has attempted to address the issue by making your network adapters use static IP addresses (or fixed).  It's a good start, but more needs to be done.

The fundamental problem is that your Linksys router and the AT & T hotspot have the same local IP address, and each claims that it is the 'default gateway' to the Internet.  Because you use is no longer the Linksys router to do this, you must change several settings.

The first thing to do is to change the local IP address of the router.  See p. 16 of the User Guide.  You have a choice: you can either have two separate completely local networks (one wired and one wireless) or you can have them on the same network - but in this case, you need to be careful that your affected addresses manually are not incompatible with the IP addresses assigned automatically by the DHCP server in the AT & T hotspot.

Because you only have 3 computers (and possibly a printer network or 2) and the IP address manually-set from that you have watched seems to be far from the IP address automatically together on the USB adapter, we will stay with a single network, but first do the following research:

Run the command ipconfig/all on each of your computers and make a list of IP addresses for the connection to the Local network and the wireless network connection.  For the computer that you use to provide the above information, it is information that you need to write:

Connection to the LAN - IP address...: 192.168.1.149
Connection network wireless - IP address...: 192.168.1.6

You will notice that the first three sets of numbers in the two addresses are the same (192.168.1).  That's what I meant by "a network".  The important thing is that the fourth number MUST BE DIFFERENT for each device on the network.

If your printers are directly connected to the Linksys router and not connected to one of the computers and shared, you also need to know the IP addresses of printers (if you have wireless printers, you need to keep the Linksys Wireless, contrary to what I wrote above).  If you have wireless printers but don't know how to find their IP addresses, post back with the printer brand and model).

For the sake of discussion, I'll assume 3 wireless network connections and connections to the Local network 3 are 192.168.1.149, 192.168.1.150 and 192.168.1.151 192.168.1.4, 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.1.6.  The real numbers are not critical, as long as there is no overlap.

Later in the process, explained the s. 16 of the User Guide, change the IP address of the frouter Linksys to 192.168.1.1 to something relatively far from other addresses, for example, 192.168.1.200 (it must be less than 255).

Now, on each of the computers, follow these steps:

    • Open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
    • Right-click on the connection to the Local network and select Properties
    • Select "Protocol Internet (TCP/IP)" and click on the properties button
    • In the 'Général' tab, the box 'use the following IP address' is probably already selected.  If this is not the case, check it.
    • If the "use the following IP address" was NOT previously selected, you will need to fill in the boxes.

The IP address must be the number you copied down earlier (for example, 192.168.1.149).
The subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0.
Make sure the "Default gateway" box is empty.  It is important step.

    • Check "Use the following DNS server address."  Leave the boxes blank.
    • OK your way out

Restart each computer and things should work OK now.

Any ideas why I can't delegate permissions? I do not think we have group policies that are resticting access, but I don't know which of the log files I should I seek to find the real problem.

    Thank you

The problem that I had was related to what service vCenter services were running as.  No doubt during the installation (for some reason that escapes me now) I had configured the VMware VirtualCenter Server and VMware VirtualCenter Management Web services run under the local administrator account.  Change these so they ran as system Local solved the problem, and then I have a list of domain users and assign them permissions.

  • Add bundle OS 7.0 to the existing version?

Can someone tell me if it is possible to do so without creating a new version for all my existing users?  That is to say. I have installers for OS 4.5, 4.6, 4.7, 5.0 and 6.0 and I just want to add new OS 7.0, but nothing has changed for users on other versions of the OS, so I don't want to force an update on it?

    Thank you!

    Bruce

Create a new version with OS7.0 bundle only. Let's say your current version is 1.2. You create a version 1.3 with a bundle for OS7.0 (minimum set supported OS to 7.0). If users with OS7.0 will download version 1.3 and all other users will download version 1.2

I have a SONY STR-DG510 receiver. It has 3 speakers (right, left & Center) connected now.

I would like to add two speakers more to it. The outputs are available on the receiver, but I don't

not like the idea of the wires running in all directions.

I thought using a wireless speaker I could at least eliminate the wires of the receiver.

Any suggestions on what to use? Most of the things I find is oriented towards computers or cell

  • Add icons for bookmarks saved on the toolbar

    Hello

I recently added some bookmarks on my toolbar and I was wondering if and how I can add a small image or icon next to the name of the bookmark (like the small horse or whatever it is next to the bookmark "getting Started")

Sorry, it's probably very frank and my 5 year old son could would be able to get by, but I am however, technologically challenged.

Thanks for your valuable time for you. Impatience on your part

    Kind regards
    Kirsty

I am having trouble with your question. Usually, when you save a bookmark to the bookmarks toolbar, it has title icon and too long. The title can be abbreviated into nothing.

Try this. Open the palette to customize via the 3 - bar button and right down at the bottom under the control of Mode "icons and text" are selected.

  • Need to make small adjustments for jpg and overwrite the existing file

I'm on Photoshop CC 2014 and I have hundreds of jpgs that just cropped and straightened. They are already copies of the originals, then there should be nothing that prevents me from doing these adjustments and quickly overwhelming with Cmd-S right? But I get the Save as dialog box which slows down the process considerably.

It works wonders for a previous project and I'm updating PS between the two. I would straighten, crop, Cmd - S, move on to the next 1, pattern. Very fast. Thanks for any help!

When trimming, make sure you have ' Delete cropped Pixels "checked.

  • Is it possible to add a breakpoint between two of the existing breakpoints?

See the subject line. Basically, I worked on a project that has four different breakpoints (next to "default")... and I just realized that my breakpoint (i.e. smaller) to the left is too big, and I probably should have broken it into two.

It seems that the only way to add a breakpoint is when you are in the display size of "default"... but I need to position this new breakpoint at the other end of the spectrum. Is this possible? I pourrait add it on the right side... but that would mean completely reconfigure a bunch of details about every other size of the screen. I don't know if I explain what I ask properly. Laughing out loud

Of course, simply double click on the rule?

  • Add support for the iPhone in an application already published

    Hello

Is it possible to add support for the iPhone to a multi-folio application which we have already published in iPad format.

If so, what are the steps before you download a .ipa file revised to Apple for review?

There are a few paragraphs on the update of the application in general on p58 here but nothing specific to add support for additional platforms to an existing application.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Ross

You must do two things to make your application work on the iPad and the iPhone:

    1. create fact sheets for the iPhone.

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/digitalpubsuite/using/WS4cb2576c7954973c-70d16164136e6c7cfbc-8 000. HTML

    2. create and submit a new version of the viewer using DPS App Builder. Select iPhone and iPad. Use the same files mobileprovision and CERT.

You also need to create some application icons and splash for iPhone screens.

When I want to run something from the Run dialog box, I just type the name of the program.  For example, to use the command prompt, simply type cmd.  But some program I have to type its full path.  The only way around this is to put a shortcut in the system32 folder.  Only, I forgot that I put it there, and I often erase it as a kind of Trojan horse.  I don't like things like nonwindows randomly in my system32.  Is this in any way about this?  I put a shortcut in the %ProgramFiles%, but it seems random with a shortcut to chance here.  In addition, if the shortcut is located in a folder in system32 or %ProgramFiles%, it won't work.  Shortcuts in the %windir%\System32 too much work, but makes me more suspicious of my own files.

This is precisely what concerns the environment variable "path".

The applications that you want to be able to run in a directory on your disk to another.  If, for example, you have a dirve D:\, you could create a directory named D:\MyApps and place the executables in D:\MyApps.

    • Open the system properties (right click on my computer > properties)
    • Click the Advanced tab
    • Click the "Environment Variables" button
    • Scroll down in the "System Variables" box until you find the variable "Path".
    • Select 'Path', then click on change
    • Go to end of the text in the edit window, and then type a semicolon followed by the path to the directory you created for your applications.
    • OK your way out.

Be careful when you change the path variable that you add only.  If you delete the existing path variable (or part of it), it is likely that something no longer works correctly.
