• Opening in the same window using CSS and Flash CS3/AS3?

  I'm working on a portfolio in Flash CS3 and AS3. I try to avoid making all in Flash, so the home page is a header CSS/HTML page that will house a piece looped flash under the heading and the portfolio of the Interior will be flash parts within the same framework of header CSS.

  I would like to know what kind of code I need to use flash portolio navigation so that the 'Home' link will open the CSS/HTML landing page in the same window, rather than launch another window. Is this something that can be done using AS3, or do I me javascrpt as well?

  You should test online.  Local test can have varying results in the measure of targeting windows going.

• Flash CS3: AS3 - ReferenceError Variable #1065 is not defined

  I have developed several actionscript classes. Two of these classes are associated with MovieClip objects in the library. The clips have their Base Classes of binding defined on their respective package and places and when I check the connection settings (using the check mark icon) Flash CS3 reports that it may find classes related to both clips.
  
  When I check my code syntax there is no problem, and when I test the Flash animation no compilation errors are displayed. Yet, in the output window, I get the following error:
  
  ReferenceError: Error #1065: class1 Variable is not defined.
  
  ReferenceError: Error #1065: class2 Variable is not defined.
  
  I placed class1 and class2 in the error messages above to represent classes that are associated with the MovieClip.
  
  Am I missing an order import somewhere? I have the path set correctly in Flash CS3 preferences of the base class.

  It seems that this question was due to some of my classes not be marked public. I had followed examples in AS2 that had classes marked as dynamic without a public or private identifier. Apparently, AS3 assumes that all unmarked classes are private.

  Hi friends,

  I'm new to Flash and tools, but I searched the Internet, I tried different suggestions to integrate flash before asking the question here. The question is time swf in Flash Player, but when I view the HTML (generated by Flash Professional CC to embed a swf) in a Flash browser only the components that I've drawn on the screen in step.   you really shouldn't be using a component for what you want to use more than once and change each of them.  that goes against the advantage of using a component: it's a movieclip creation compiles only once.  There may be some built-in customizations (styles) but, it is intended to be used as-is.

  even if you have created your own custom button not compiled, you would face a similar situation: either, the code of the personalization features in your button (which wouldn't show before execution) or create several custom buttons.

  I bet you are trying to put the code in a framework that should actually be

  example of code with the keywords 'package' or 'class', you can't put this code
  in a keyframe, or you will see the error 1037. The reason is that

  I use Flash CS3 and I'm trying to publish a SWF file that makes use of the "FLVPlayback" component I need this SWF file that will be published in an Actionscript 3.0 file, I then put my publication of Flash Player 9.0 and Actionscript 3.0 settings, but get an error as follows:

  Gotcha. You have started the document in AS2, and then changed the
  publication settings. Each language version has its own version of the
  (Written in the language concerned) FLVPlayback component. Start over and
  compare two compleley new FLA documents: make one for AS3 and AS2.
  Open the components Panel and note the differences between the two. He
  are a different set of components according to the language chosen for the
  document. Drag the FLVPlayback components Panel in a
  AS3 document and you have the AS3 version.

  I try to install the free trial Flash CS3 on my MacBook, the installer goes through "shared components" but correctness the Flash application. Little inspiring...
