ADF Faces: undefined dvt:map title in the ToolTip

Hello! I use the dvt:map component for the sake of my application I am insert on a page for a backing bean. When the map is displayed on the page and I click in a geometry of the current theme shows a piece of card with information about the geometry, but the title of bubble map is written as undefined. The theme of the card I insert as the PredefinedThemeFOI class. Do I have to set some attribute in the card or PredefinedThemeFOI?

Published by: reginaldo oliveira 08/03/2011 12:35

If you are using a predefined theme, please make sure that you have a column that is defined for your theme in mapBuilder label. The label defined in the definition of the theme will serve as the header of the infoWindow.

  • ADF Faces 11, add where clause to the detail view in the master/detail relationship

    Hello

I have two display objects only read connected by a link in a relationship master detail.

They are displayed in a treetable in the form.

I have a method on the java object impl view master class, I use to add custom where claused based on entries different user and then run the query.

Works well, master and detail is interview properly.

But I also want to further filter the detail view (view from destination in the display link). However, as soon as I add whereclause in the detail view against the master
relationship of detail seems to have disappeared and are no detail record. I also tried to add a view criteria but with the same result.

    Your comments will be appreciated.

You can get the ViewLinkAccessor, then the ViewObject and try to apply the ViewCriteria, followed by executeQuery... what you are already doing.

  • ADF Faces 11 G + EJB 3 and the bean Validation

    Hey guys,.

I did research on validations and I would like to use validation (JSR 303) beans in my current project. Today, this project uses ADF Faces 11 G + EJB3 in Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5.0. I see the default value of the JPA application is EclipseLink (TopLink) and this seems like JPA 1.0, probably because the weblogic implements JEE 5.

I think that there is no problem to use the validation of beans in my project, I have to install the library (apache bean validation or hibernate validator).

Anyone know or experience something like this?

  • Compatibility ADF Faces and jQuery

ADF Faces and jQuery is incompatible? In some of my pages I used jQuery to improve my drawing. Since ADF Faces has no component such as p or h1 or if I use these tags and ADF behaves unexpectedly. So by jQuery, I can wrap some components like div generated by af:panelGroupLayout. If I specify a styleClass to this pgl I can easily the warp by p as $('.cls').wrap ("< p..."). Are their any risk of error or of bad behavior to do? In one thread, I see as jQuery is not integrated into the life cycle of ADF so it can be difficult to tell whether or not it behaves by mistake. Y at - it no risk to deal with a problem of PPR?

    Hello

In ADF Faces active JSF 2.0 use of things like JQuery would be more affordable, I would suggest that you test this last integration using Facelets and Jdeveloper 11.1.2.0. However you perception is right, using a lot of JQuery on your page in ADF faces, could potentially break some of the life cycle. There are, however, examples:
    http://codingwithpassion.blogspot.com/2011/01/using-jQuery-in-Oracle-ADF-faces.html

What kind of JQuery components are you trying to use?

  • ADF Faces - a 6 - AS / 400

Hello! eveyone, im new in this forum, also im a junior programmer, I had the opportunity to work with JDeveloper and ADF Faces components, so think about using the same technology, but my boss told me that the servers are AS / 400 and WAS 6, so my question is, can I use ADF Faces framework in accordance with these specifications?
Thank you and have a nice day.

We have certified Oracle ADF on 7 has BEEN with the latest version of JDeveloper 11.1.1.4.
We did not test WAS 6 - if all you are going to use are the ADF Faces components there is a good chance that they will work.

  • ADF validator or JavaScript for validation on the client side?

using JDev and ADF 11 g

Description of the problem: to apply postings as the range test date, pattern matching, maxlength, etc... on ADF Faces components.
Solution 1: Use ADF as Reg Expr validator validator, validator of Max Length
Souliton 2: write Javascript code to validate the value of the component next to cleint.

When you use the ADF validator for this type of the validation check, a request is sent to the server for processing (additional charge). However, we can make these validations with javaScript functions without the need to interact with the server. So what does benefit validator ADF is used when we need to implement these validations?

Please let know us your opinion...

Some of the validator using the ADF Faces are actually using Javascript on the client - the date format and the regular expression for example.
One thing to remember by the way relying on Javascript only validation - this is a security risk - since a hacker can create a version of the page which eliminates these controls.

  • ADF business components: persistent negative IDs in the database

    Hello

We use ADF 11 g with ADF BC as the model layer. All our database tables have a column ID, which is populated by a sequence and never shown to the user. ("IDs techniques".) In British Colombia ADF we have configured our entity objects with the attribute Id set as primary key. The type of the attribute is set to "oracle.jbo.domain.DBSequence". On the tab sequence, we set the name of the sequence in the sequence that corresponds to the table (we have a sequence for each table in the database).

Our problem is the following. If we create a new record in our ADF Faces UI and a business on the database rule generates an error during validation after which correct us the error and resubmit the registration, a record with a negative identification gets in the base. If there was no error in business rule, we get an ID that corresponds to the 'nextval' in the sequence, as expected.

Even though I know that ADF BC uses negative ID in the cache of objects entity for new records, I have no idea how and why these negative ID end up in the database. So far, they have been any problem in the database. But since this is unexpected behavior, I'm not entirely sure that the negative ID will not cause problems in the future. My questions:
    < ul > < li > is this design 'by' behavior or is it a bug? < /li >
< li > if it is "by design": these are negative IDs guaranteed as being unique? < /li >
< li > could it be caused by a configuration error in our model project? Where should I start looking for such a mistake? < /li >
< li > could it be caused by a configuration error in our database? Where should we start to look for such a mistake? < /li >
    < li > would it be a bug in the ADF BC? < /li > < /ul >

    Best regards
    Bart kummel

    Bart,

    (1) it's by design
    (2) No.
    (3) No.
    (4) No.
    (5) no

    ;)

Now for the explanation. Sequence name you set up is just for information purposes only - it is not actually cause ADF fill the value using the sequence. To do this, you must either write database triggers or you can use an extension framework class to have occur in the model layer - in my view, such an extension class is documented in the developer gude (search for DBsequence, I've not worn to hand at the moment). Negative numbers are only temporary placeholders.

  • Request clarification on the ADF Faces + Trinity mix on the same page 11 g

    Hello

I wonder if someone Oracle could indicate support of this. JDeveloper 11 g release notes contains a section titled, "ADF Faces and data visualizations," in which we find the following:

The use of Apache MyFaces Trinidad components

The mixture of Apache MyFaces Trinidad tr: tags with ADF Faces af: tags on the same page is not supported. You can mix the trh Trinidad: tags with ADF Faces AF: tags. However, there may be some problems of introduction to cross-browser with the help of the trh Trinidad: tags. As a best practice use the ADF Faces AF: layout tags as your first choice, unless the provision is not feasible using the trh Trinidad: tags.

Does that mean that only DVT + Trinidad is not supported, or that someone else suggested that active af: tags are not taken in charge, or we cannot mix tr: and af: at all?

    Best,

    John

    John,

the brief summary is that generally you are on the right side when you do not mix the components of the Trinity with ADF Faces RC components. It of IO to use components on separate pages, but not in a single page.

The summary of average size is that not all components of Trinidad cause conflict with ADF Faces Rich client and that in fact the active components issue requests for PPR can cause serious problem. The integration of PPR is a major problem between the two batteries. If you use - for example trh:script to include JavaScript or CSS to your page ADF Faces, then it doesn't cause damage. Ditto for the layout to the Trinity labels that do not use PPR to disclose their children.

    Frank

PS. : We had a bug filed against this and dev on both teams looked at how to solve the problem. It seems, however, that it would take major architectural changes

  • How to conditionally bind the declarative component custom ADF ADF Faces

    Hi gurus,

I created the custom declarative component called "Historical Record", following the article of Frank Nimphus Oracle ADF Code corner: How to bind custom declarative ADF Faces components and it works perfectly find.

But I want to strengthen further to make more generic, as in Oracle EBS we can go to all the blocks and choose Tools-> history of the record and it shows WHO columns to the currently selected record.

The intention is conditionally bind the attributes of the component with columns of WHO bodies VO.

    The scenario is:

    * all tables have Created_Date, Modified_Date for columns of the WHO.

    * the page containing the 2 instances of VO with different source (for example:-> emp dept)

    * whenever I have navigate dept records it should display columns WHO selected dept and the same thing then to move through the records of the emp.

    Kind regards

    Ferrere

Well as I said, you shouldn't try to rebuild the Oracle Forms technology-specific behavior in some other technologies such as ADF (because it is not usually possible).

It is probably best to have a separate button for each shape (square to a coherent position on all pages - as some form, toolbar header...)

If you want to rebuild the behavior of forms, then you can use the combination of af: clientListener / af:serverListener to set a flag (as the name iterator) see scope that can be used by your 'global' button to retrieve the correct data. Therefore, add af:clientListener to each component entry...

  • including the extension in jdeveloper with ADF Faces?

    Hello

We have an application with ADF Faces components that must be migrated to OracleAS weblogic 11 g Server (10.3.5).

We strive to upgrade the application under jdeveloper 11.1.1.5.0.  I have 3 questions.

    1. which the ADF jdeveloper extension should download us for this purpose?

We already seem to have the extensions 'Fusion Web Applications (ADF)' and ' Applications Java Desktop (ADF) "."

    2. during the upgrade, we were given an option to upgrade the ADF Faces in Trinidad, when this option has been chosen, we got a "unexpected mistake."

is it necessary to go to TRINIDAD to be able to deploy successfully on weblogic 10.3.5? If Yes, is the extension for Jdeveloper MAVEN?

    3. in weblogic server, I understand, we need the extension JRF to support the length of the ADF, is there anything else that we need on weblogic server that the adf works?

    Thank you in advance.

If the origins of your application of jdev 10g and runs on the OAS, you can migrate to Trinidad. No extension is required for this as the required libraries are already there. Maven is useless and will not work for 11.1.1.5.0. First version with the full support of MAVEN is 12 c.

If you get an unexpected error during the migration from the old app to 11 g, you should try to find out

    (1) projects that is causing the error

    (2) file that is causing the error

and work from there. There are some configurations that cannot be migrated (check the release notes), however they should not lead to unexpected errors. However, check the release notes.

If you don't find anything and cannot pass through the error, you must open a SR with support.oracle.com.

Next question is why migrate to 11.1.1.5.0 which is already obsolete.

  • How to clear the selection on an ADF faces table?

I thought I'd call setSelectedRowKeys (null) gives the desired result. However it is not. Can you think of a reason why it would not clear the selection? What should I do?

    Here's the specific scenario:

I have a two ADF faces table tell A and B with a column each and both of them have simple lines and their rowSelection property is set to "single". Now the requirement is when a line is selected from A, it must clear all selections of B and vice versa. So I registered selectionListeners on the tables and the code that is running inside this method does the following for the table has not been selected :

    tablenNotSelected.setSelectedRowKeys (null);

lets say, I click on a first line, then on a row of B. So far so good. So if I click on the A, the control won't to the SelectionListener method. I think that SelectionEvent isn't getting fired no doubt because the previous selection has not been erased.

JDev version I use is JDEVADF_MAIN_GENERIC_121113.1351.6521

    What I'm missing here?

try to add addPartialTarget (table) after you turn off the selection.
