[ADF, JDev12.1.3] See criteria with binding var used repeatedly: how to display its filter only once in queryPanel/LOV?

Hallo,

I created my VO this view criteria...

I see filed research associated with the binding var only once when I used the VC for a LOV...

You kindly help me?

Thank you

    Hallo,

    1)

    I changed the name of a view VO criterion, but I'm not able to buld the project.

    Error: myapp.model.vo.MyVO: could not find the referenced object. Object =VC_OLD_NAME Owner = myapp.model.vo.MyVO

    But if I look everywhere in the application I'm not VC_OLD_NAME.

    How can I solve this problem?

    When you rename a VC, JDev auto updates all references to this VC in the application? Or I don't have to worry about it?

    2)

    I renamed a binding var defined for a VO where clause.

    JDev seems to auto update all references to this var binding, but the strange thing is that, in the original Version, the old name is still present (he doesn't).

    Why?

    3)

    Perhaps in the future I would better take not to rename this kind of objects?

    Thank you

    Federico

    1)

    JDev sometimes has problems with refactoring.

    Maybe you can try to close jdev and remove .data folder in your project.

    2)

    Because there is no exact reference to link var if you need to change this manually.

    3)

    Perhaps in the future the jdev will have less bugs

  • Two criteria in mind: one for af:query, second with bind var, both use same result table

    JDeveloper 12.1.2

    I have two display criteria, VC1 and VC2 are based both on the same VO. For example, let's say that I have used VO

    SELECT Employees.EMPLOYEE, Employees.EMPLOYEE_ID, Employees.FIRST_NAME, Employees.LAST_NAME, Employees.DEPARTMENT_ID

    Employees;

    Let this be VC1:

    SELECT * from (SELECT Employees.EMPLOYEE, Employees.EMPLOYEE_ID, Employees.FIRST_NAME, Employees.LAST_NAME, Employees.DEPARTMENT_ID

    EMPLOYEES employees ) QRSLT WHERE 1 = 2

    Used for af:query

    So let's say I have VC2 with bind variable

    SELECT * from (SELECT Employees.EMPLOYEE, Employees.EMPLOYEE_ID, Employees.FIRST_NAME, Employees.LAST_NAME, Employees.DEPARTMENT_ID

    EMPLOYEES employees ) QRSLT WHERE 1 = 2 AND ((UPPER (QRSLT. Department_id) = UPPER(:DeptIdBind))) )

    The user runs the af:query research and resulting table lists some employees. The last value of the column in the table of results, I did as links:

    < af:column headerText = 'Department' id = "c1" width = "140" >

    < af:link shortDesc = "#{bindings.myVO.hints.DepartmentId.tooltip}" id = "ot4" text = ' #{row. "" DepartmentId}'

    action = "#{backingBeanScope.MyBean.byDept}" partialTriggers =": t1" / >

    < / af:column >

    If the user now clicks on the link, I would expect the following:

    1. the values entered in the af: query to stay

    2. the table refreshes since the underlying VC2 is defined and executed VO. Here is the code VOImpl and backingbean

    The bean of support code

    public String byDept() {}

    Links DCBindingContainer = (DCBindingContainer) BindingContext.getCurrent () .getCurrentBindingsEntry ();

    DCIteratorBinding dcItteratorBindings = bindings.findIteratorBinding("EmployeesIterator");

    Line r = dcItteratorBindings.getCurrentRow ();

    Object keyvar = r.getAttribute ("DepartmentId");

    OperationBinding searchExp = ADFUtils.findOperation ("searchByDept");

    searchExp.getParamsMap () .put ("deptId", keyvar);

    searchExp.execute ();

    Returns a null value.

    }

    Impl VO

    {} public void searchByDepartment (String deptId)

    setDeptIdBind (deptId);

    executeQuery();

    }

    Problem:

    Query (VC2) runs but table does not reflect that. That is to say I don't see the list of employees of the selected Department

    Any idea?

    RPP = partial page request

    PPR refresh a component jsf

    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance () .addPartialTarget (UIComponent);

    Where component is the component that you want to refresh.

    Have you checked that the query executed vc ID?

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] How to get the column headers, request of VO and VO bind vars used by an af:table?

    Hallo,

    I want to create a method that takes as a parameter the id of an af:table (used to display the search results) and returns:

    • the column headings of the af: table
    • Visible property (true/false) of the columns af:table
    • the actual query of the VO instance used to create the af: table
    • the values of real bind variables passed to the query of the instance of VO

    I would like to create a servlet which takes the parameters reruns the query and returns a report Excel/PDF file that contains exactly the same columns and same of the af records: table.

    I'm a little confused on who use the code to achieve this... you kindly help me?

    I did a similar qustion here Re: [ADF, JDev12.1.3] how to export an af:table to Excel in an ADF Essentials application? but then I guessed that it was preferable to create a new thread.

    Thank you

    Federico

    For this, you can use this type of code

    Context LocaleContext = _adfTableBinding.getLocaleContext ();

    for (attr AttributeDef: attributeDef) {}

    Label As String = attr.getUIHelper () .getLabel (context);

    _logger.info ("Attritbute name:" + attr.getName () + "column name:" + attr.getColumnName () + "Col4Query name:" + attr.getColumnNameForQuery () +)

    "Name:"+ label);

    }

    which produces this output

  • See criteria and bind variables

    Greetings experts,

    I use JDev, version: 11.1.2.3.0

    Recently, I came across this situation. I created a variable binding (in VO), which is used inside a criterion for the VO even. This criterion to display is called within a method that is declared within a class of java of implementation of AppModule (which is exposed on the Client Instance), and through a managed bean I supply the parameter required to initialize the variable binding (and then get the results). This works fine, and the page that uses the domain controller for this appmodule runs without error.

    The point is that I have the same VO, used inside an another appModule (and another page uses, it's DC). I need to use this variable binding in this case, but if I click edit on this VO second, inside the second presentation of appModule interface, I can see that the criteria for the view, is in the "Available" tab, but in the section 'Setting bind' it shows the binding variable said first.

    I am as a matter of fact, receiving and error on this second page if I do some operations, saying this:

    Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: try to set a parameter name that does not intervene in the SQL: partyNum

    at oracle.jdbc.driver.OraclePreparedStatement.setNullAtName(OraclePreparedStatement.java:5384)

    at oracle.jbo.server.ViewObjectImpl.bindParametersForCollection(ViewObjectImpl.java:21459)

    at oracle.jbo.server.QueryCollection.buildResultSet(QueryCollection.java:1197)

    SQL error in the preparation of the statement.  Instruction: SELECT PartiesContracts.CONTRACT_IDCONTRACT, PartiesContracts.PARTY_TYPE, PartiesContracts.PARTY_NUM, PartiesContracts.ROLE PARTIES_CONTRACTS PartiesContracts WHERE PartiesContracts.CONTRACT_IDCONTRACT =: Bind_Idcontract

    (The binding variable is called, partyNum)

    My question is, can I do to avoid using this variable to link on the second page of appModule only? It seems to be called always regardless the fact if I call the appropriate support bean method that triggers the initialization process.

    Thank you for your time.

    Have you defined the binding variable 'partyNum' as requires it? In this case, you need to specify every time. You can set the variable as not mandatory and it might work.

    The solution would be to set another VO with the same base, without the "partyNum" bind variable and VC and use in the other AM.

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] ReadOnly page with fields of 60-80 of many reading queries. Best approach?

    Hallo,

    I need to create a page of jspx in a btf mono-page I'll run as dialog.

    The problem is that this page read-only contains 60 to 80 fields read from many different queries.

    The queries will be used only on this page, and I doubt if it is better:

    • Create a VO for each query, and then use the VO istances page

    or

    • Create a method in the AM that runs all applications and which returns all fields

    Each query has some params-using the 1st solution - I do not know for example if in the btf, before the page, I can place much executeWithParams methodCalls.

    Any advice is welcome, thank you.

    Federico

    Federico, you can use several run with Péan calls, one after the other, in a working group.  I have personally not to use another object that contains all the attributes because it would mean all copy and modify this object whenever a change queries. And you see in the user interface, source of each attribute.

  • JDev 11.1.2.1 method Execute (with bind variable) before the page is displayed

    Hi all

    I have a view object with a query that uses a variable binding. I drag the data on my .jsf page control to create a table. I create a query method on a bean in sight. The query method uses the content of one of the attributes of the bean to set the link for the query variable:

    vo.setNamedWhereClauseParam ("CraIdBindVar", sessionBean.getCraId ());

    I put a button on the page that calls the method of the request and it fills the table. That's fine, but I don't want the user to have to click the "query" button when browsing this page. I found forums dealing with create an AMImpl.jave method, create a link on the page, create an executable file for the link. It works that the method is executed until the page appears. However, the AMImpl method cannot call sessionBean.getCraid () to obtain the data required to complete the binding variable.

    Is it possible to run my method of view range bean before the page is displayed? Or maybe a way for the AMImpl.java method to access the range of view variable?

    Thank you, Steve

    Steve,
    You can drag a call method on the workflow activity. Select the new method call activity, and open the property inspector. Here you choose your bean method in the method property. Now, first of all, you go to this activity of method call, then the page.

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Which is the best way to define the properties of CIU/fragments of pages. Is the approach that I have used a good choice (for a beginner)?

    Hallo,

    in my app, that I have a lot of pages and fragments in which properties (for example rendered text, disabled, Selected,...), lots of user interface components must be set, before/when the page is displayed, depending on the session and pageFlow scope attributes.

    So far I have created for each page/one backingBean brought bean fragment in which I defined an attribute for each property defined (e.g. 2 properties for each UIC: UIC is 10...) "I have 20 attributes to manage in the bean).

    Then, I linked each attribute of the bean to the respective UIC property. You can see in this my thread (unfortunately without answers ) [ADF, JDev12.1.3] backingBean bean: a lot of properties to set for lots of CIU... is better by using the properties of the binding or access code (created by ID) UIC? a small example. I put the attributes the bean Builder (or in a function of 'action' if the APP properties must be set based on the interaction of the user).

    I would like to know:

    • If it is a good approach / recommended / safe or if there is a better way;
    • If the scope backingBean is OK, or if a larger scope would be better.

    As I asked in the thread in the link above, the situation can become difficult to manage if the PPP for which setting, properties are very different.

    So I'd like if there is no alternative that I can use to get the same result with less effort.

    For example, using the class ComponentReference or invokeOnComponentAPI could simplify my life? And their use could I always use backingBean brought beans?

    Thank you

    Federico

    Federico, please understand that this forum has no sla. I have other work to do, who pays my bills. I will do my best to help, but you can not expect the instant replay.

    (1) you must not use the bean to init your beans. You can delay load or init your beans instead.

    (2) as Frank and says you can use a bean to view range and use it to make your calculations as long as you know how their parameters go to the btf

    (3) you should always use the reference of the component if you bind a component to a bean. Make a habit of all scopes.

    As we do not know how you calculate the State and how often it changes while the Working Group is on the page, it is difficult to give further advice.

    So I guess that the session exists as soon as the user access the login page.

    • If the user on the home page click the back button in the browser the application creates a new session to destroy the possible previous session?

    • And if my request to place the values in UserData would be a good practice as part of the bean connection null all the attributes of the container UserData?

    2)

    • Is it better to store the information in the HTTP session or UserData?

    • Could he have no sense in storing an individual data in the HTTP session and UserData at the same time?
    • I have seen that the HTTP session is very easy to access, view and (if necessary) and the layers of the model. Is the same as for UserData, or it can be accessed only by the model layer?

    3)

    • In my case, I want to share my application the user in user data:
      • First and last name (only at the end of the display)
      • Name of the service (only at the end of the display)
      • Username and DepartmentId (these hairy should be passed to the query and the view of your criteria)

    4)

    • I'm in doubt if using a scope session bean or - since the data that I have to share is really little - use the 'basic' (e.g. ectx.getSessionMap () .put ("key", "ValueToStore")).
    • If I use an extended session bean and I store of simple values (integer, String,...) I don't have to worry about serialization (de)?
    • A scope session bean is accessible from the model layer as the HTTP session basis (what I can put by ectx.getSessionMap () .put ("Key", "ValueToStore"))?
    • And in my situation I could handle everything with a single between UserData anda HTTP session?

    These questions are intended to create a simple login system that stores data needed somewhere in the different parts of my application.

    So any advice is welcome!

    -When you close your browser, this will destroy the session

    -None

    -It will be much easier to invalidate the entire session (HttpSession method for this object)

    -When you destroy the http session, it will destroy the Application modules, and it will destroy UserData

    2)

    • Is it better to store the information in the HTTP session or UserData?

    -We already discussed in a previous thread so I won't comment

    -both are secure. HttpSession exist in java web applications and UserData is specific ADF.

    -Maybe (for example, it is not recommended to access the HttpSession of model project, so you can store some data in the UserData (to be referenced from your, etc.) and managed (so you can bind them directly to UI) Bean)

    -Are accessible only from template (but you can expose a custom to ViewController method that accesses UserData)

    3)

    • In my case, I want to share my application the user in user data:
      • First and last name (only at the end of the display)

      • Username and DepartmentId (these hairy should be passed to the query and the view of your criteria)
    • Where I put those values? Who, in the HTTP session? Who in UserData?

    My opinion:

    Name, first name, name of the Department-> session brought average managed (so you can link that directly to the user interface components)

    UserId, DepartmentId-> UserData (or you can store managed bean and pass as parameters to methods of model project)

    4)

    • I'm in doubt if using a scope session bean or - since the data that I have to share is really little - use the 'basic' (e.g. ectx.getSessionMap () .put ("key", "ValueToStore")).

    • And in my situation I could handle everything with a single between UserData anda HTTP session?

    -with getSessionMap () .put (), you must pay attention to the data types when you change or retrieve values (for example, do you know if DepartmentId is Integer, BigDecimal, oracle.jbo.domain.Number,..) If this isn't "type-safe". In addition, it is easier to understand what your application keep in session if you managed bean that in order to find all the places you're calling the method getSessionMap () .put ().  And controlled beans are a 'natural' way to keep data in a JSF/ADF application.

    -Not (just brand bean session with the Serializable attribute)

    -You can do something similar to this, but this is not a recommended practice because it would break the MVC pattern

    -If you do not have too much, you can keep everything in HttpSession and expose methods to set the binding vars.

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] When you use create/restoreSavepoint... Restore operation is still useful? And other doubts...

    Hallo,

    Dario and Timo advised me (in this thread Re: [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Master w/playback af:form only af:tables detail: how to handle insert and edit through forms?) I make a request using the functions create/restoreSavpoint to this fragment in my application.

    The tables are read-only, and the user can insert and modify records by a form of popup.

    Each table has its own pop-up that I created using a btf executed as diaolog (*).

    Before I open the popup, I create the backup point.

    BindingContext bctx = BindingContext.getCurrent();
    DCDataControl dcDataControl = bctx.getDefaultDataControl();
    String sph = (String) dcDataControl.createSavepoint();
    AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getPageFlowScope().put("AdfmSavePoint", sph);

    When the popup is closed, I restore the backup point if the Cancel button was clicked...

    Object confirmOrCancel = returnEvent.getReturnValue();
    if (((String) confirmOrCancel).equals("cancel")) {
      String sph = (String) AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getPageFlowScope().get("AdfmSavePoint");
      BindingContext bctx = BindingContext.getCurrent();
      DCDataControl dcDataControl = bctx.getDefaultDataControl();
      dcDataControl.restoreSavepoint(sph);
    }

    I have these doubts:

    1. the button "CANCEL ALL" (so far) AM restore operation is still meaningful (is always useful) when you use the check points? Or can I avoid using the restore of the AM operation, creating a backup point before you enter the fragment and restore it if the user clicks on "RESTORE ALL"?
    2. for all tables: before opening the popup insert/change the backup point is implemented pageFlowScope under the same key 'AdfmSavePoint '. Is it OK or would it be better to use a different key for each table (for example 'AdfmSavePointTable1', 'AdfmSavePointTable2',...)?
    3. If the pageFlowScope already contains a checkpoint under the "AdfmSavePoint" key... What does if I give the floor to new .put ("AdfmSavePoint", sph)? Can I be sure that the old value is overwritten?
    4. is this safe with nested savepoint? For example in my case I want to create a backup before the fragment in the image point is displayed (and restore if the user leaves the fragment by clicking "RESTORE ALL"), then within the fragment, as I said above, I would manage other points of record when inserting/editing tables.
    5. I noticed that clicking on the button "RESTORE ALL" when it relates to the AM-restore operation causes this strange thing: when before displaying the fragment I call SetCurrentRowWithKey on the master istance VO... If I click on "ROLLBACK ALL" posted master VO Records changes and 1 minutes of the main of the VO table is displayed. Why the master istance VO is not reimain in the folder I've previously selected by SetCurrentRowWithKey?
    6. With reference to the expression (*) above. The BTF 'dialogue' I created contains only the page jspx with shape and a return to activity. I also tried a) create (and restore) the backup point, b) to call createInsert inside the "dialog box" operation BTF (see images below), but the createInsert on retail VO istance called inside the 'dialogue' BTF seems not to reflect on the table as when I call createInsert by calling btf. I have to make some adjustments in the 'dialogue' of BTF?

    Thank you

    Federico

    Federico,

    (1) Yes, what should happen if a user add or edit vo1 and click ok in the dialog box but decided that ask to work must be restored?

    (2) as long as you don't have that a dialog box is open, it should work.

    (3) the flowrate range of page is a map. You can put the same key more than once. If the key already exists, the value is replaced.

    (4) in fact, I don't know, but the sounds of complicated design. I guess you can record more points, but only in the order of creation. It's as if you try to rebuild the framework. BTF yo it even for you, when worn right. Please go to ADF Architecture Square and read and watch it task flow of related things.

    (5) this behavior is as expected. A restore resets all the iterators so thagetto point at the top of he. http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/Developer-Tools/ADF/learnmore/OCT2010-OTN-Harvest-183714.pdf 'keep the line after cancellation' shows how to handle this situation.

    (6) I suppose have you refresh the table iterator, once you close the dialog box for the new data. But that's only a guess because it depends on how the btf share control of data and the your involved.

  • problem with bind variables in the SQL query view object

    Hi all

    I use JDev 11.1.2.4.0.

    I have a problem with bind variables in the SQL query view object.

    This is my original SQL

    SELECT sum(t.TIME) , t.legertype_id
    FROM LEDGER t
    WHERE t.nctuser_id = '20022'
          AND to_char(t.insertdate,'YYYYMMDD') in ('20130930','20130929')
    group by t.legertype_id

    In my view .xml object query tab, I am writing this

    SELECT sum(t.TIME) , t.legertype_id
    FROM LEDGER t
    WHERE   t.nctuser_id = '20022'
        AND to_char(t.insertdate,'YYYYMMDD') in :dddd
    group by t.legertype_id

    Davis here is a variable of Type liaison: String, updatable and necessary.

    I try to deal with Davis as ('20130930 ', ' 20130929') hoping the view object, run as my original SQL.

    But failed. The view object retrieves 0 line after that I run.

    Why?

    Thank you! ('2original SQL0130930', '20130929') ('20130930 ', ' 20130929')

    A variable binding cannot be used as this is why you must use years table. Check decompilation binary ADF: using oracle.jbo.domain.Array with ViewCriteria to see a solution.

  • Problem with Bind variable cannot be changed.

    Hi all
    I use Jdev 11.1.2.3.0. In my VO, I created a Bind Variable and set it NOT UPDATABLE. Then, I created a display with some other Variables Bind criterion.
    I use this criterion to display on a search page, but when running, I see also an inpunt for the defined variable NOT UPDATABLE text and I can't change its value.
    Of course, if I try to change the value, and I do research, I get an error.

    It is the source of the VO:

    < variable
    Name = "UlssVar".
    Type = "where".
    Type = "Java.lang.String"
    IsUpdateable = "false" >
    < TransientExpression > <! [CDATA [adf.context.current.sessionScope.get ('ulss')]] > < / TransientExpression >
    < / variable >

    Is this a bug of the ADF?
    I thank in advance.

    Hello

    try selecting the variable binding and open the property inspector, under the guidance of the user interface, set the flag of 'view' to hide. This should hide it (no bug for this reason)

    Hey @kenannee,

    I see that you see a few lines when scanning or copy of your ADF (ADF). I can help you with that.

    This document describes How to clean the ADF. If you have lines after the paper, the printer must be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking on this link and fill out the form below to discuss the options based on your warranty.
