Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard in Windows 8

My Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard version installed in Windows 8, but won't make PDFs from Microsoft Office files. Most of the other operations are working properly.

Is there any solution for this?

The latest version of Acrobat is 11 with the version also announced yesterday. Acrobat 8.1 (i.e. 8.0 with the latest updates) may install and run on WIndows 8.x, but she certainly was not designed for this. In addition, Acrobat 8 integration with office (that is, PDF files part of Office applications) is for versions of Office dating back to when Acrobat 8 was released. The PDFMaker for the Office of Acrobat features are highly dependent on Office version and as a result, you can't wait for Acrobat 8.x to work with any modern version of office (Office 2007 and beyond).

  • Problems with Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard on Windows 7

used to have this on my Window XP; Windows 7 computer now and I tried to download Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. Not only, it does not work, I can not use the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which was already on the computer. Any help would be appreciated.

My guess is that you have a 64-bit machine (you have not mentioned). In this case, you must make updates to work correctly. If you can open Acrobat, updates can be made on the Help menu. If you can't, then you will need to download them from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=10&platform=Windows. Download the most recent first and check the previous update is necessary and work towards your current version (maybe 9.0.0).) Then, make updates and restart after the last update.

With a relocation, it's a good idea to remove the Acrobat folder before reinstalling. In addition, disable the installation of updated antivirus.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard vs Windows 7

When I had an XP system, I bought Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard. I have the serial number for it. The product and serial number are recorded here in my account. I still have the drive to it and the box with the sticker of the series.

My problem is that whatever it is built for Win XP is not compatible with Win 7 or higher. My new motherboard does not work with Win XP installed -only Win 7 +. Therefore, I can not install this paid version of Adobe Acrobat 8 on my Win 7 system. For the software on the machine in order to upgrade to a newer version of the Web... I can not do so he could see that I had a previous version.

Y at - it no help for it, or I am just sorry out of luck?

I guess you're out of luck. Support for Acrobat X (10!) ended last year: Adobe Acrobat X and end Support of Adobe Reader X. Adobe Document Cloud

  • Is it possible to install Adobe Acrobat XI Standard for Windows on a Mac?

    Dear Acrobat Support team!

I bought a Fujitsu Scanner with Adobe XI Standard.

Unfortunately, the software is only for PC and I'm a Mac user. Is it possible for me to use this software or the serial on my Mac key?

    Thank you, ShuretzZ

Only by running Windows (Boot Camp or Parallels Desktop). You can also buy a copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Your license will work for the Windows version and it is too old to qualify for a swap of platform (I don't know if it is a Mac version of standard far in the back - I think that there is for Windows).

    Hi basically,

    Method-

Note: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

Perform the steps in the article-

Note: The antivirus will try to repair the defective hard disk sectors damaged by viruses. Data on these areas could be lost in the process. Proceed at your own risk.

    Hope this helps!

  • Adobe Acrobat 6 compatibility with Windows 7

I bought a new computer with Windows 7 and comes to be noted that Adobe Acrobat 6 Standard does not correctly - has to do with the printer driver. I have searched the net and found several proposed "work-arounds" that do not work on my system, for example using 'compatibility mode' in windows 7.

Question: anyone know how to manipulate Adobe or Windows 7 for Adobe 6 function correctly?

It's ridiculous to have to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade to Adobe 9 or 10, when Adobe 6 does it all in need.

    Thank you

Sorry, no complete solution here, if this thread is worth the trip to see if it is a wrapper work you have not yet tried:

  • Activate Acrobat 8 Standard on Windows 10 fail because the connection, even if the internet connection is available. The phone activation is no longer. No other options to activate the product. Help!

I know that this is perhaps not the best place to get support for this product, however, Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard cannot see their activation server or an internet connection. I went online to see if the the phone activation is available and the numbers that were provided (206-675-6222 and 866-772-3623) are no longer in use. The version of windows is Windows 64-bit 10. The software has been successfully installed and activated, however, an update for Windows began activation of Adobe Acrobat and put it in a trial mode. I have only 1 more day until the software crashes. Phone support would be nice Adobe! When this customer is forced to upgrade it drives me crazy! Unexpected expenses, the time for installation, the time to learn a new product, and invariably you change numbers on me that didn't help things.

Acrobat 8 is no longer supported, is not compatible with Windows 10.

If you are in support of the Adobe number we phone is 800-833-6687 (from Monday to Friday, from 05:00-19:00 PT), but I won't hold my breath. They will probably refuse to help you because of the issue of compatibility.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Windows student & Teacher Edition 1 user

About two weeks ago, I bought Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Windows student & Teacher Edition 1 user of the digital production team Dell software partner. I still have to download the software because I have questions and they cannot (or refuses) to answer.

In my initial email to Dell software partner digital production team. I asked the two questions and gave them some background.

My background: I have two computers running. My old laptop using Microsoft Vista while my new HP desktop running Windows 10. Here are the details: link to the FAQ in the Center Dell download the following question appears under the Questions common header: "can I use the Dell Download Manager to create a backup CD/DVD? Response to this question is: "If you use the Vista operating system, the answer is Yes." My question is: can I download and install 'Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 Windows student & Teacher Edition 1 user' using my old laptop Vista, backup to CD/DVD and recovery and use this backup to CD/DVD to install the program on my new HP running Windows 10 desktop?

Question: The above situation works in reverse? I.e. can I download and install "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 student & Teacher Edition 1 Windows user" using my new desktop computer HP running Windows 10 and making a backup CD/DVD and recovery and use this backup to CD/DVD to install the program on my old laptop which uses Windows Vista?

    Your help is definitely appreciated.

    Hi robert444z,

Please be informed that Acrobat DC is compatible on Windows 7 and later (system requirements for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Acrobat Standard DC ).

So, you won't be able to install it on Windows Vista.

    Kind regards
    Nicos

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard

I have a user who's just received a new laptop. His old PC has Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. He wants to transfer to your new PC. I go to his old laptop to turn it off, it is grayed out. I tried to log in as an administrator, and it remains greyed out. Can I disable on your old PC. Also, I can't find the license for this product anywhere. Is it need to buy another license, or is there something else can be done? Our company is the Group Ardagh, head office based in Muncie, in.

Regardless of activation, Acrobat 9 is an older version that is not compatible with any current operating system. Yes, unless their new computer, Windows 7 or more they probably should get the latest version, Yes.
