Deleted drive "LENOVO D:"

Hi, I have an IdeaPad Z570, about 600 GB on my drive. I just finished a restoration of Windows 7 with OneKey recovery, and it worked fine. Now when playing with partition (or is this volume) sizes, I accidentally deleted my D: drive. A research on other forums and it told me that this drive can be deleted without a problem, but with a backup. I don't have a backup. Is it possible to download the files on drive D: from somewhere? Help would be appreciated. Also, I'm new to this forum, so I know not if it's OK I started another thread about this, but no one else has my problem. If its not OK, then please tell me how to solve this problem.

Thank you

Hi SirVer,

That you can get the recovery from the service center disk.

Best regards

  • Complaint driver Lenovo G550 Wi - Fi and porting Windows 8.1

    Hello!

This is my first post on this forum and I hope that I have the right place to post, as I've seen other topics concerning the g550 on this forum.

I have read the discussions about the use of Windows 8 and its drivers and also problems with the wi - fi driver - it is the inability to provide a service of quality - problems with a "weak signal".

Let me put it this way:

    1. at this moment I am Windows 7 64 bit and as my pilot wi - fi, I use the system planned when I installed it, it's:

So far, it is the best WiFi driver available, that gets me the best discovery of network (I see on the 10 available wi - fi networks using this).

    2. to install the driver provided on the Lenovo Site's Driver, i.e. broadcom driver combined 32-bit/64-bit, the number of networks that I can connect to via wi - fi decreases from 10 to only 2 networks, one of them being my neighbor router! This is unacceptable in my opinion! Now, the speed of the network cannot deviate too much, but the pilot clearly lacks some features, because he can see only 2 instead of 10 networks - in the same place!

Now, for Windows 7 x 64 things are good, I just stick to the provided windows (4.176.75.21) driver and I can use wi - fi without any problem in the world, at a good rate of functionality and performance.

My problems are now turning to the 64 bit version of Windows 8, more precissely 8.1. I experimented with this and put aside the problem of wi - fi, which I can fix is more, everything seems fine and I'm pretty satisfied how my sistem works on win8 64-bit.

    The problem:

    (a) when running with the supplied Win8 driver, networks are few, just like using the driver lenovo, or even worse - a single available network - my router - 100 cm near my laptop! No other available network... Very bad.

    (b) for installing the same win7 32/64 bit driver on win8, which works without compatibility issues - I get the same results as the installation of the configuration of windows 7: 2 networks are in the same place.

I read on the forums, that there may be a chance that lenovo will ship 8 to g550 windows drivers, but if they work in the same way that the current drivers for win7, they will be of no use to the expected rate of return. Can someone do something about providing better drivers, look at this problem?

I also tried to deceive win8 and port the driver win7 64 for windows 8, by extracting the location of the pilot of the iso file or windows 7 installed driver (obtained a .inf and .sys file) but ultimately I can't install it in Windows 8, even with the option 'have disk... '. ", where he finally tells me that's not a win8 supported 64-bit driver. (No signed drivers problems or displaying a message).

Now, as a solution for this, I would be grateful if someone could recommend one of the following:

    (1) either a way to make the driver lenovo work better, to configure it somehow, or provide another driver for win 7-64 which can also be run on win 8 (what should be), which has good performance

    (2) provide a 'port' mode the current win7 that works best with my Broadcom WiFi for windows 64-bit of 8.1 driver.

    Thanks for following this!

OK, I solved my problems, this topic can be closed, as far as I'm concerned.

I'll leave here the method in which I acted, as well as any other person who is faced with the same problem will be facilitated by this guide.

    Here's what I did:

    (1) carries the wireless driver for windows7 - that came on the original dvd - copied three files: two .inf files and a sys file, I believe - cannot remember exactly. Anyway, you can use export driver software and select your driver and it will automatically detect and retain the necessary driver files. I have saved files and if someone needs them, pm me and I'll tell you which files they are exactly, or send them.

    (2) once I got the win7 drivers, I entered my install windows 8.1 and accessible "Advanced Boot Options", which has an option available to select certain features on the next reboot-> you click on restart to see advanced features.

    (3) select 'disable' in the boot options advanced, driver signing checking once they appear, after the restat. This is necessary in order to get errors that do not allow you to install the win7 driver do not.

    (4) it just go to the device driver update manager, have the disc, select your .inf and there you go, just a few guests on the absence of the driver of a signature and you're ready, you can install the driver without problem.

In my case, it worked perfectly!

I did it too with other win7 drivers, and it worked also.

    Tip:

If you have problems and the pilots still doesn't work, check the .inf file, it may need some modifications.

See if there is a section 6.2 NTAMD4 (this is for win8) and if it isn't, or if this article contains no lines, just create or update the same lines that you see in tights under articles 6.0 or 6.1 also in section 6.2. Then the disk method will work for your desired Windows 8.1 driver installation.

I think this can be useful for many situations, not only for this specific driver and model laptop, but for the most part are questions users driver compatibility.

  • Pavilion A600N: Deleted drive D

So, I've upgraded to windows 7 from Vista to May 1/16. D drive was almost complete, and I wanted to go to the free update to windows 10. I deleted the D drive, thinking it would just erase any data of Vista, but he just disappeared. Now what? Can I get it back? Do I need?

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello:

D drive was probably the Vista recovery partition.

Once that you upgraded to W7, you probably could not use it anyway.

So, unless you were planning on return to windows Vista (if the partition recovery even worked), and then deleting it was OK.

    You can't recover.

  • Optical drive Lenovo Z51-70 is a dummy

I recently bought a Lenovo Z51-70 and discovered later that the optical drive is a mannequin. This information was not in the technical specifications, before I bought the computer, but nevertheless, my question is:

Is it possible to install a real optical drive instead? Is there only certain types of optical drives, that I can install on my laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

If the OEM does not list a device or port you can imagine so is NOT included or integrated. Options that you can add are not specifically mentioned in the preview or short then call spec that are in any way vague. At least there is a place to add it to the internal. I hate the system where there must be an external device. EG if HDMI is not mentioned then it's not a! You might think every system would have one, but the flagship of Thinkpad T520 did not have and was not mentioned. We must therefore really check especially when buying online as you can not see a lot of things.

  • Problem with OTG USB Flash Drive - Lenovo a7000

    Hello
I recently baught a Lenovo A7000 and it's great. I've set my default storage in the form of SD card and many applications are installed on the same, but the problem I am facing is when I connect to the USB OTG flash drive (it works fine). When I take it apart all the applications on my SD card are not visible on the home screen. However, girls are on the only sd card, but the just icons are not displayed. Whenever I connect OTG all apps are visible again after removing the OTG same problem each time.
Please help me solve this problem. I want my apps to install to sd card, but not on the drive Flash OTG.
What should I do? Thanks in advance

Well, the problem is solved only when restart us the machine, but it's still
not convenient to reboot each time that you insert an OTG. He really needs a
    Difficulty again.

  • Hard drive Lenovo

My Lenovo W500 has been pre-installed with Windows XP, but I decided that I wanted to try Vista 64 Ultimate, before I made the choice to see what OS I was going to use. I used a 5200 Hitachi 160 GB spinning hard drive to install Vista 64, so I wouldn't overwrite the original hard drive comes with the PC. I decided I like the 64 so I'll put up on the original with the 7200 spin hard drive, but wanted to know what things I need to save before making the switch. I have grapped most of the dirs APP from the reader and makes the recovery DVDs. Is there anything else I need to do before I blow the drive?

you say theat you did the recovery and backep dvd data go ahead and install vista... but make sure that your system gets all the required 64-bit drivers

  • Touchpad driver Lenovo P500

    Hello!

I bought a Lenovo Ideapad of P500 with Win8, I did a downgrade to Win7. It seems that all the drivers have been installed successfully, but when I tried to install the driver for the touchpad I got an error message saying that the driver is not for this touchpad, even if I try to install it manually and run the installation as an administrator. I downloaded this driver for this laptop for win7 lenovo support page.

The touchpad works, but it is too slow and it takes like 6 scrolls in order to pass on 1 side of the screen to the other.

    Anyone have this same issue?

    Thanks in advance.

Please try to get learn you have materials:

  • What does the 'Keep Your Drive' Lenovo?

I have a default/a SSD failed in a relatively new X230t (under warranty).

Several attempts to clone the drive (using some tools) has resulted in reports not having read some areas on the SSD. Lenovo hardware analysis indicates: test targeted reading - short failed, SMART self-test - failed.

Contact us Lenovo and they indicate the DSS must be replaced and they send a shipping box.

However, Lenovo announced that you can 'Keep Your Drive'... "give you peace of mind knowing that your valuable data is safe.

So should I remove the SSD before sending it or...?

Contacted Lenovo and mentioned politics KYD to the service agent. I suggest rather than to send back with or without the SSD Thinkpad, they ship just a new SSD. They said OK, so this is obviously the way Lenovo KYD policy is supposed to work.

  • Double hard drive Lenovo E430

I replaced the DVD with a case of SATA Caddy for 2.5 hard disks.

Everything works correctly, the bios detects the second hard drive. I install Windows 7 without any problem

BUT when I use WINDOWS 7 I DETECT a SERIOUS PROBLEM:

The system with two hard drives, the first is an SSD (Crucial M4) and the second a 7200 RPM hard drive (original disc), do not restart or turn off. I have try several combinations of BIOS and original windows 7 drivers also last Intel 7 Series driver SATA.

    Nothing works!

The partial solution I found is to switch off the second drive hard through hotswap safely turn off, extract the drive hard and after that when I select Restart or shut down, the system takes a few seconds additional and work.

In my view, that it is a BIOS issue becuse this problem happened with the original Windows SATA driver and also with the latest 7 series Intel Chipset drivers. I try with the legacy of Partition BIOS MBR and Partition GPT of UEFI, in both cases the same problem.

When I unplug the power supply cable to turn off the laptop, sometimes Don t pc detects the SSD with error detection, so I BIOS fast change detection and the laptop detects the SSD.

Please check this problem inside the laptop BIOS

I have my E430 an Intel SSD of 330 in the HARD drive Bay and the original 500 GB HDD in a HARD drive caddy, I bought on ebay. I installed a fresh Win7 Pro on the SSD (under the Legacy BIOS option) and reinstalled Win7 HP on the HARD drive (under the UEFI BIOS option). I have no problems starting and stopping on the part of readers. The only problem I've noticed is that when stopping down, HARD drive sometimes of parks the heads with a loud noise (as if suddenly).

  • HP Deskjet 3052 J611g a: accidentally deleted driver for HP Deskjet on my Mac 10.10.3. Could not find a HP link to re - download.

The original drive software that I got with the printer, was an earlier version of OS X (10.6), now the drive will not re - download for version 10.10.  I searched HP website and cannot find a link to download it again.  Any help would be most appreciated.

I confess that I am not an Apple "genius".

It seems that the Apple printer drivers are installed via Apple Software Update, do not download from HP.

    * The HP printer driver is built into the software update feature of Apple on your Mac computer. Your printer is probably supported via Apple Software Update, and you don't need to download anything from a Web site to print, scan or fax.

    Here are the instructions:

  • Tech deleted drive d factory, and now he is said to be complete and is remembered up to d drive

My d drive is send me notifications for low disk space since a tech based on what I've been well HP, practically entered my pc give me windows 7 to fix a corrupted profile. He has saved and seemed to save my old stuff under the drive c as windows.old. Then I watched him remove d files and put the 2 files it contains. Then he told me to put a disc in the drive c and when it was done he told to put it away as it was the drive recovery or restore. However, since that time my drive d now says back up the drive d and not factory drive d and he went from about 1.4 to 412 MB on 12.7 GB full. Now I said that I have to buy an external hard drive to solve this problem. I've never had this problem before that, it will be in my PC. Does anyone know how to solve. Other than that, I'm not esperiencing any problems, I can put my finger on.

If drive D is your recovery disk, it would be full, and you can ignore all the warnings.

If you have called HP support, then it's HP, if someone called you to Traffic out of the blue, claiming to be MS, it's a scam
