Adobe Application Manager, and write permissions using Cougar

After you have installed the Trial Version of Photoshop CS6, I tried using Photoshop CS6 v. 13.0.1 update so that CS6 could read my Nikon D800 Neff files. We're trying to install, window warning PS Application Manager indicates that user/ber.../library/application support/adobe / doesn't have write permissions. and will not let me install step. I checked the permissions and the location has write permissions so am a little loss to know what to do to allow me to install the file raw drive? Hoping you can help?  Using MBP 15 "running Mountain Lion OSX 10.8.2 (latest version I think) thanks for any help here.

Have you tried to apply the permissions to write to all closed objects?  You could also try to temporarily create a new administrator account and try to apply the update under this account.

  • I have Photoshop CS5 and when I try to launch it after recovering from a crash of the system, I get a popup telling me I have to use Adobe Application Manager.

I have Adobe Application Manager and he wants to give me Photoshop CS6.  I couldn't find a way around THIS so I let Application Manager download and install CS6.  Who wants to be activated but (understandably, I suppose) wants my serial number.  All I have is the number for CS5 so I guess that since I was more or less fed force CS6, that will be fine.  It is not the case.  I went to the Chat facility but told me that they support only the activation problems and/or installation, and since my CS5 (although not functional) is enabled in fact, it's on the forums.  Help?

I finally got things market so I thought that I would return at least to indicate what was necessary in case someone else is in a similar mess.

I had NOT reinstalled CS3 as the two guests and all indications here in the forum suggested that it would be enough just to enter the serial number for CS3.  As it happened in this case - probably because of the goulash that my system has been transformed an operating system crash and reinstall - which would not be good enough.

I reinstalled CS3 and launched so I'm the guest of serial number and has been able to do successfully 'Activé' (see the first picture below)

I wasn't able to get CS3 "registered" (see the second image), but the guest suggested javascript as suspects or internet access, and my presence here in the forum proves neither of those to be wrong. The failure of the connection indicates it may be trying to connect to a resource for activating long dormant CS3 (or dead) at Adobe?

I then restarted CS5 and once I gave my serial number, he was finally happy with any complaint of needing a product calling prior to the upgrade (see third picture)

Hello Atul and thanks for responding.  Adobe support seems a little disjointed because I offered this solution through several cats and now this forum.  Ultimately what worked for me was adjusting the permissions of read/write on the Application Support folder.

    1. open Macintosh HD

    2. open a library

    3. Select the Application Support folder.

3 right-click and select information.  -Pop-up is displayed.

    4. click on the padlock on the bottom right pop to unlock (user will have to enter the admin password)

    5. last section, under sharing & permissions, ensure that the administrator and the user tries to install "writing &" can.

    6. for the administrator and user, click options in the lower part (looks like a gear) and choose "apply to the elements included...". »

    Retry installation...

Thanks to DJ in support to solve this problem for me!

  • The packer of creative cloud fails on download Adobe Application Manager

"An error occurred during the download. Please try again later. "I tried every possible permutation advanced settings on Packager, removed and reloaded Adobe Application Manager, removed completely, because the first action of the packer must install Adobe Application Manager, so my question is, why in the world tent Packer once more retrieve Adobe Application Manager, and why an error occurs while downloading something that is already uploaded and the judgment of my installation? 3 days it starts to wear on me. Thank you.

Thanks, so it seems that you have not been able to create packages.

Typical things to look at include:

Permissions for the area you download

The proxy configuration (outside your environment proxy test would confirm this)

Proxy in Adobe Creative products Cloud support

    Path length

If you have administrator rights and save your local HD (not a removable drive or a server), then it is recommended.

Also check that the downloads are not being blocked on a level of the firewall: network endpoints.

Otherwise, I would like to get the logs and prosecute with our team for assistance, either through your business dashboard or Contact Customer Service
