  Dear all,

  We have Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014 installed as part of a package of creative cloud on several computers running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit.

  Every time that you open the software, we are able to run through the introduction of 'demo', but when you get to the screen create new document get us an error 'Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014 has stopped working' and have to close it.

  We have tested on several machines (the proper system specifications) with multiple users and it happens every time. I confirm that we have the latest version of DW CC 2014 installed and all Windows updates.

  Note: We con Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 and it works without problems, we are able to open a new document without problem.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  Please follow below steps-

  1. go to the registry entry.

  2. in the input register access HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2014 (or whatever that is version crashes for you) \Cloud synchronization preferences.

  3. change the value of the CCFirstLnchDlgShown key to TRUE.

  4. now start Dreamweaver and check if it still crashes and let us know the results.

  CS6 requires a minimum of Windows XP with Service Pack 3. Also, your vertical resolution does not meet the minimum requirements.

  I would like to offer my two bits on how I personally seemed to have solved this problem.

  Quick background; Dreamweaver cling every 30 to 90 seconds for a minute or two each time. It was perhaps the worst ever experience I've ever had with the software; in particular, a piece of software that I used constantly.

  This and other wire that seem to all agree that the problem is with Dreamweaver "leaving this file" and out the data of this file; like images, scripts, etc.

  I disabled all the settings that are recommended, as not running java script, etc. Nothing helps.

  Finally it dawned on me that a bunch of sites I worked on were not defined as 'sites' in Dreamweaver. I've been using filezlla for FTP and simply opened up filezilla. Dreamweaver has been, I suppose, treating them as independent pages rather than part of a site like some time. I guess that because Dreamweaver doesn't realize that these are all the links on the page (which makes no sense because the images show up... but no matter), he feels a need to browse the internet or something for these links.

  But who knows, he seems to have solved my problem for now. (30 minutes in, fingers crossed).

  TL/DR: Make sure that the page you are working on is part of a site defined in the menu "site" then go to "new site" or "manage site".

  I know that this is a very old thread, but I run CS2 on a laptop Windows 8, and it runs great!

  Load it normally and when you get to the screen where it asks to keep the program, change the location of "------(x 86) programs of" programs ~ 2 "and it will work fine!
