  Hello, all the...

  I have a question about something that was so annoying for quite awhile on Adobe Illustrator.  Is it possible to re-path an object which had a Warp assigned effect?  The objects that I have worked with are a bit complex, I'll give you a simple example:

  

  The first section is a single line.

  The second section is a distortion effect applied to the line.  The visible line changes in preview mode, but the original line segment is always right.

  The third section is the situation I want to be in, where the line had the effect of physical deformation applied so that the Bezier curve is today present and adjustable.  It is not a terribly problematic thing, more than a drawback, as I have to change additional shape I needed to be any time in the future.  I guess I want to re-path to the object to its new base line so I can see what additional changes I need to do it in a more convenient way.

  I hope that my ramblings made some kind of sense.  Any help is appreciated since gurus the Illustrator.  Thanks in advance!

  I paint mainly hand free images on draw for transfer on CC Illustrator to create T-shirts on my Mac book Pro.

  They yield without problems, but when they come through here is like millions of anchor points (which literally planting my Mac even if its brand new with very good specifications) and loads of layers.

  Also, when I change outline/background color to match my color of T-Shirt Basic, he treats as if there are two separate features around the line.

  Is anyway to turn it into a normal vector without so many anchor points (excluding the rounded tool) more as if she was drawn on Illustrator?

  Even if it's a conversation, I had with a number of people who use a draw... Brushstrokes in the draw are as a form of task of Illustrator and it is currently not possible to obtain a simple/single track in the middle of the race... and I don't know if changing this algorithm of drawing is even considered at this stage.

  I know that to redraw the strokes in Illustrator CC, is an excruciatingly long process and I'll pass your comments along to the product team.

  There are a lot of people on the forums who have raised the same issue and I would like there was more I could do to help. I hope it is useful to at least understand what's happening.

  Hi all

  I'm trying to import my Illustrator design file in Catalyst. The problem I encounter is the fact that several layers will not import.

  I've unlocked all the layers, made visible but I always encounter the same problem.

  My Illustrator. Design of AI file consists of 62 layers. Catalyst imports about only 20 of them (1 to +/-20). I tried all the options, but none seem to help.

  Someone at - he encountered the same problem? Or has a solution?

  Thank you for taking the time to share the file. Here's what I found...

  The Illustrator file is 40.6 MB.

  Catalyst has a 40 MB file size limit...

  For some reason any instead of just present the dialog box 'this file exceeds the limit of 40 MB"catalyst him but gave up two of the layers. I don't know why yet (it's a bug and it will be reported.)

  Looking through the comp in Illustrator, I found she had 7 images. Several of them had resolutions more than 1000 DPI and the other being the same on PPI of 3500. That can easily happen when you import images and their revision down for reasons of design. While you could optimize them in catalyst after import (choose optimize work > compress in the HUD of the catalyst) it is often easier to do in Illustrator. The best thing to do is to use save for Web (images can be significantly smaller than the pixelation just them) but pixelation at 72 DPI is better than nothing. You may need to turn on background > Transparent.

  When I did this in your file with the seven images and then re-recorded in Illustrator it fell 40.6 MB to 1.2 MB and imported fine in the catalyst.

• ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CC (PROBLEM OF LINKED FILES)

  I need help... I've recently updated and now when I drag my library, it places a linked file instead of vector format, I know that I can integrate or other but then I have to remove the clipping mask... The vectors that were in there are things I use constantly at work and must be easily editable. Is it possible to disable related files & just go back to how it was before? It's really mess up my workflow. I can simply go back to constantly used vectors in an illustrator file & just stop using the cloud all together.

• Paste from Microsoft Word into Adobe Illustrator... problem

  Hello gang, I am a professional Letterer drawn and I recently decided to upgrade using TextEdit to use Microsoft Word for all of my copy paste script that I have to do.

  In TextEdit, when I copy a page from a comic script it will be then paste into Adobe Illustrator beautifully. Retains formatting very well and line breaks (can't remember makes bold or in italics, but good). However, when I paste from the Word version of the same script, all line breaks disapear, leaving me with a big block of text, making it difficult for me to easily find the dialogue used in the page.

  Does anyone have a solution for this? Is this a known problem with Word? I can't find anything on the net.

  I'm using Word 11 for Mac version 14.2.1 I think it's and Adobe Illustrator CS3 for Mac.

  When I tried to place a 12-page Word doc in Illustrator CS5, similarly said John_Danek, I could see a small sign on the bottom right of the text box. If you double-click this text box, you can see page 2 of the doc. Similarly, you can view all the pages of your Word document in Illie.

  OR

  Register your content in a PDF and then place the PDF in Illustrtaor. This will help you retain formatting as well as allows you to select the page numbers in your document that you want to place.

I went through all (I think) all share options, only to find out my photo and graphic vector were reduced to a tiny PNG. I would like to print these images on a large scale, but am doing so based on the problems that I have described.

  I think you are talking after upgrade to CC 2015 you're not able to launch I. Also, I believe you speak for read only matter of preference.

  After following the instructions please do not launch Illustrator and check your file preference if the permissions have been set correctly. A good way would be to get inside the preferences folder and then try to create a file manually. If it succeeds, please write to [email protected]
