  If the normal uninstall in Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs does not work, either

  1. use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to remove damaged your system installation.  It is no longer supported by Microsoft, but you can always download it from download sites of 3rd party like http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459 N.B.: Microsoft stopped supporting this utility because it sometimes damaged other components installed on the computer (Microsoft has provided no details about these 'damage').

  I had a problem with my PC so I uninstalled Adobe Reader, thinking I can re - install later.  Now I find that I am not able to download and install Adobe Reader because of my operating system.  If this can be true?

  I was hoping to get advice on Adobe.com to learn where to find an (old version) Adobe Reader download and how to install it again on my current PC.

  We are trying to implement an automated installation of Adobe Reader 11 on our SCCM system, using the MUI Installer. We have created corresponding MSP and MST files, and everything works fine.

  Our problem is that the latest MUI patch is 11.0.04 and not 11.0.05, meaning that we do not get the security update. The 11.0.04 patch dates back to the end of September last year, so we expected a little 11.0.05 now.

  You can not install an update to Acrobat Reader security on top. Use all updates of player.
